i am reminded immediately of the book 'the moment of astrology' which continues to hold my fascination as it is such an excellent book! geoffrey cornelius opens up chapter 12 titled 'images of birth' discussing "wrong charts working' something directly related to the unfolding of this thread.

i wish i could quote something from this amazing book to encourage others to read it if they haven't done so already, but i honestly don't know what small bit of information i share would do the book proper justice. needless to say from my pov the chart geoffrey shared earlier fired on all cylinders and was an excellent read even if it wasn't the 'correct' chart... how one processes that bit of knowledge will remain individualistic.

Thank you for your kind offer, lihin, but as yet we are still dissenting as to the sailing time.
It is queer to get no other confirmation of the sailing time at all with the exception of the 5 p.m. time in the Herald News I linked to:

I would take a guess that the departure was between 4:15 and a 4:30, with significator of ocean voyages being the Moon in the 12th. Would love to know exact time of sailing to be sure. This was such a tragedy, for the two that died. I believe the Captain was pressured to leave by the owners of the ship, which had a scheduled event in Florida to make. I could not believe he set sail with all reports continually saying it was going to be the Perfect Storm. Such a shame.
