Not a prediction Anna, just possibilities to ponder....

I am intrigued by the symbolism of Jupiter, "the job", in the 3rd house and in Gemini, disposed by Mercury. A comfortable place for the significator of the job if the job is "Information Technology". While it is true that classically, Jupiter retrograde and in its detriment is not a 'good' thing, if the symbolism fits the circumstances then perhaps Jupiter can be made to work for us after all.

Interesting too that Jupiter is in a double bodied sign. I have found that significators in dual signs can offer a second bite at the cherry and so the possibility opens up here of not just one job, but two. Perhaps your son does not get the IBM job, but another job suddenly hoves into view very soon after. Perhaps the IBM job is just never resolved - another job comes his way and he takes that without waiting further on the IBM job coming through.

And what of the retrograde nature of Jupiter? Perhaps Jupiter is just "back peddling" and nothing will happen until Jupiter becomes direct, which will be in about nine weeks (end of January 2013) after the question was asked. Interesting too, as Johannes notes, the Moon perfects its antiscion with Jupiter a little more than nine hours after the time of the question.

So, perhaps there is a way through to be seen on this chart. But perhaps the job with IBM is not promised as others have also noted.

Perhaps it is time your son actively went out and started working his contacts to see if there is an alternative job available, rather than sitting and waiting for the IBM job which may never come. Perhaps that is the real message of this chart....

Once again, just possibilities to ponder, rather than predictions.
