Hi Curt - this is a really great offer. I took advantage of your pre-Christmas reduction, and I'm really pleased with the software. There's a very positive mini review of Timaeus 8 Pro in TMA this edition. It covers some of the attractive features of the software, especially the interactive graphic ephemeris, which was a major plus for me.

Thanks for all the intensive development you are putting in to the software at the moment. It's great to see a powerful tool like this being extended even further.

Most of the Primary Directions features are done. The fixed stars list (about 1100 of them) still have to be linked up to the directions array. See Readme for details:

I still have some checking on Placidus under the Pole and Polich Page methods. The proportional semi-arc and Regiomontanus check out good. Some people are getting confused though between converse and neo-converse. Both are in the program, but the directions in Morinus are neo-converse, not traditional converse.

PS - The updated primary directions are from version 6.4 and later.

The main advantages right now is that you can group all your settings under a theme name and restore them by double clicking on that theme name you defined. It will also calculate directions for thousands of years and uses a progress bar, but the default is 1 cycle (360 degrees).

Earller in the review Hank wrote that Timaeus "...has evolved into a very powerful set of tools for the traditional astrologer."

I think I'm going to bite the bullet and buy this. Do you offer a trial version by any chance? I don't actually have a PC, I use a Mac so just need to make sure it will work with the emulator I use for Windows (VirtualBox). Or do you know of others who have gotten it to work successfully on VirtualBox?

I've been wanting a program that would calculate zodiacal releasing, and I believe Delphic Oracle does just that so it would be ideal.

The only trial I have is a demo of Timaeus Lite that shows funcitons in Delphic Oracle without implementing them:

Others have run Delphic Oracle on Mac OS with vmware, but I'm not sure which versions they had. Delphic Oracle is actually less complicated than Timaeus in some ways due to the nature of system tray apps that run in the background (which Timaeus is).

Linux

Hi Curtis - do you have any knowledge of individuals that have run DO6 under Linux? I am trying to move over to all Linux implementations for home computing. Janus 4.3 runs pretty well under the Ubuntu derivatives (the best being Mint 14) using Wine 1.4.1.

Astrological software is the most difficult thing to shift over, because programs like Solar Fire and Janus are designed to run under Windows.

I don't know of anyone running my software on Linux. Is there something similar to vmware for Linux?
