along those same lines of thinking, here is a short history on russia 1907/1908 to see if the Tunguska event had any bearing in connection to the dynamics of russian power/politics.

I am quite good on Russian history but I cannot recall any highly significant events around 1908.

1905 saw the first unsuccessful revolution following military defeat in the Russo-Japanese war.

The only political events I can think of appropriate significance were the abolition of the Duma or Russian parliament in 1910 and the assassination of Prime Minister Peter Stolypin in Sept 1911. Stolypin was a remarkable man and was voted 2nd in a poll of greatest ever Russians a few years back. Some academics think his plans to privatise Russian agriculture while repressing all political opposition might have delayed or nullified the threat of revolution in 1917. Many think his assassination marked the end of the last hope for the survival of the Romanov dynasty.

However, his assassination was over 3 years after the Tunguska event.
We have celestial phenomena much closer than this such as the re-apperance of Halley's comet in 1910.

I wonder whether meteorites need a symbolic interpretation of their later influence as portents or whether their literal impact on the earth should be enough to interpret them?

I decided to look at the Tunguska event more the way Bonatti or a typical medieval or early modern astrologer might have.

I therefore put together an ingress chart for 1908.
Its a pretty grim chart.

The Sun is under the horizon as its a night chart making the Moon the sect light.

The Moon in its sign of fall in Scorpio in the 9th by sign division. It is decreasing in light. Its ruler Mars is in detriment. The moon is squaring Jupiter Rx. Its trine Mecury which is Lord 9 and in its sign of fall and detriment.

Both malefics are powerful here but debilitated. Saturn (ASC ruler) in Aries is in its sign of fall combust the Sun. It squares the ASC degree. Saturn is the out of sect malefic here.

Mars is MC ruler in detriment in Taurus opposes its own house. However, it has influence from being in sect. It is powerful by sign division due to its proximity to the IC. Indeed Mars is the most angular planet in the chart. It also rules the 4th by WSH. The 4th house has traditional signification for the earth. So the symbolism seems quite literal here with the MC ruler descending to the earth in a very malefic way.

Saturn has just ingressed into a new sign just over a day earlier! Well done Bonatti!

Lot of Fortune on the malefic fixed star cluster the Pleiades. These stars are of the nature of Mars and the Moon according to Ptolemy.

Lord 9 (Mercury) in its sign of fall and detriment. Both the ASC + MC degree fall in the bound of Mercury.

Uranus is in Capricorn ( exaltation of Mars) in a close trine to Mars.

Mars disposits Sun, Saturn, Moon, Uranus and the MC degree in the chart.

The phenomena of Saturn being near end of sign or just changing sign seems repeated in the ingress chart for the Urals meteorite. The Aries ingress for March 2012 and the Capricorn ingress for 2012 had Saturn at 29 Libra. I will post these charts up later.

So if we spot another ingress as dire as the one for 1908 in Russia with Saturn at the very end of a sign or just entering a new sign we would be well advised to watch the skies!

Then again I only have two examples so far.
