Re: Federal Republic 13 by damon Lunlumo wrote:Hi, interesting text - but only partly true for today's Germany. However, CAPR is still the major force. There used to be a chart 23rd May, 1949 with an AC at 17 degrees Libra. Wrong -as Campion rightly stresses the new state came into being not until midnight 24th (daylight saving time!). AC 10 CAPR - when related to Berlin. Nowadays acceped by the majorityof German astrologers. PLU tr will soon be at 10 CAPR - be sure to see some results -possibly eben dramatic ones. It's worthwhile comparing the 1871 chart with the 1949 chart. The 1990 chart is of secondary significance - it has certainly not replaced the one(s) preceding it. Regards, LL Youre right. According to some sociologists Germany used to be hierarchical, today is not(low power distance), although Geert Hofstede claims it was always like that (low PDI) and indeed already in 1919 aristocracy was abolished and Marxs work suggests he came from a low PDI country.Unfortuntely his ideas were exported mainly to countried with high PDI, resulting in systems were everyone was equal..in the eyes of a dictator. http://www.itapintl.com/facultyandresou ... tices.html See above Encountering stereotypes, for Germany past and present I was actually surprised while reading the thread "cronobiology" that what stood out from members was not their individual personalities but their cultural background. Hence, Sonia and Marguerita were talikng about rules and uniformity in astrology as was expected from lating cultures who tend to be high on uncertainty avoidance, whereas anglo members were more tolerant of ambiguity and fully rejected absolute truths and certainties as typical of low UAI cultures. Brazilians, although coming from a high UAI culture, are also members of the only western country with Long Term Orientation which makes Brazilians more accepting of many truths and of change as part of life than other latins so although impatient with Sonia in a typical high UAI fashion , they showed a similar rejection to absolute truths as the anglos. nations http://geert-hofstede.com/brazil.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Pdeco ... ons_theory Quote Fri Jan 11, 2013 9:36 pm
14 by amandaW I'd agree there is a strong Saturnian feel to Germany - though I admit this is only based on working with them so is a bit biased towards Saturninan matters! Nevertheless I noticed it relative to other countries' approaches. As a result I prefer the 1871 charts for Germany as a whole. I feel the country particularly resonates to the Saturn, Mars, Pluto configuration. However if I had been looking at West Germany alone I would have used a 1949 chart. But by the time I took up astrology, in 1991, W Germany as a separate nation was already history.
