Quickie Mystery Chart

1
I got to thinking about this guy today and realized he might make an interesting mystery chart. I cannot imagine that the Europeans have ever heard of him and there is a good possibility that there are a lot of Americans who never heard of him. His fame is not what we're after.

What made me think he would have an interesting chart is that he had two vastly different careers in his life and I wondered how that might show up in his chart. Both careers are legal. This is not a career criminal who went straight or a person who started out in life a man and is now a woman or vice versa. It is the chart of a man whose life is a bit different than most.

The challenge then is not so much to determine the two careers, although if anyone wishes to take a shot at it, do so. Rather it is to find things in the chart that might demonstrate a level of success in two unrelated areas.

thanks tom,

there are no air signs in the chart.. jupiter in scorpio makes the closest aspect to an angle and rules over the 5th and 8th.. saturn is on the edge of the 8th cusp and nicely sextile the midheaven.. the moon is close to the midheaven degree and trine mercury which rules the 2nd, while venus is also in the 2nd.. i am getting a financial flavour to this chart given all these factors, but it doesn't work so well with the sun in leo which needs something more adventurous i think)..

well, i suspect he has good business chops given the strength and emphasis on the 2nd/8th house.. maybe he started up a business in the death industry given the strong mars/jupiter conjunction down near the i.c. point in the sign scorpio. at the same time i think he needs a more flashy career given the rising sign and sun in leo with moon up near the midheaven... okay - the obvious guess is politician - kinda like if romney had have gotten elected, lol.. he has some business chops and as a result he runs to be a politician or political figure based on his business chops... that is my quick guess.. thanks for doing this.

Good Assessment James!!

Great Chart Tom! Really like this one!

So we have the Exalted Moon on the exact degree of her exaltation, conjunct the Midheaven: Definite testimony to a successful career and public reputation.

Moon, Sect ruler in her exact exaltation, also very good for a successful life and career, public reputation. In addition the Moon is also Triplicity ruler of Taurus, well situated, Dorotheous states if the Triplicity ruler is angular and in their exaltation, the native would receive praise of noble and wealthy men! Also since she rules public opinion and the public at large I will assume he has a certain degree of public charm and acclaim.

The Moon takes over the 10th, as Venus is in detriment, in the second and retrograde, but my guess Venus probably will be ready to turn direct, shortly after this persons birth.

Triplicity ruler of the Sun, Jupiter and the Sun, are both angular, another testimony of a distinguished person according to Valens, that two of the Triplicity rulers are angular.

Rulers of almost every house in this chart are angular, except for the 3rd house, ruled by Venus, another testimony of a notable and successful life in most areas of life.

The Trine from the exalted Moon, conjunction the MC to the Angular Mercury, (Mercury is dual in nature) would certainly be a testimony to two successful careers, and my guess is he could have many more successful pursuits and/or careers.

Those are all very overwhelming testimonies that this person will be successful in most endeavors and obtain public acclaim. Not to mention an Angular and Powerful Sun in its own domicile!!! Good indicator of success there also!

Thats my take!

Hi Tom,

Good Exercise for us!

The chart is very fixed.

One Theme stands out for me -- - land / real estate / money

1. Mars + Jupiter Angular in 4th. Mars in rulership
2. The sign on 4th cusp is fixed
3. POF in 5th -- Money from Land; Ruler of POF in 4th
4. Bound ruler of Mars & Jupiter is Mercury.
Mercury is in highly good condition - in Virgo, direct. Also it is in 10th from POF and in 2nd house of money.
6. Paramount need for Moon in Taurus is Financial Security

Venus/Virgo indicates undervalued property, fall in price, etc.
I think this would indicate one theme of fall in income which would lead to worry in Venus Firdaria period.

With all these money themes and based on Moon's configuration (referring Mathernus), the Moon/Taurus in the 10th applying to Mercury/Virgo in 2nd, the person would be very well in charge of public or king's money (mercury ruler of 11th - 2nd from 10th), a financial Accountant, one who writes about money, land, real estate agent, etc.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mars/Scorpio/4th + Jupiter/Scorpio/4th

For the other career/theme I think the Mars/Jupiter in Scorpio in 4th is the key.
Sun in Leo in the bound of Mars would want to fight for honor/individuality and development of self.
Sun is the ruler of 1st and exaltation ruler of 9th. Also it is in the 9th from POF. Mars is the ruler of 9th and the bound ruler of Sun. It is in the 4th with Jupiter.

Maybe one who is involved in military and inflicting punishments (based on traditional Mars-Jupiter professional significations) abroad.

Maybe teachings/philosophy about war, war judiciary, writings about death/afterlife etc (9th house + Mars/Jupiter/Scorpio),

Another testimony of two careers is the 10th comprises two signs, Taurus, with exalted moon and Gemini, ruler in the 1st, two successful careers. Gemini by itself on MC usually indicates more than one career, but these testimonies of placements indicate successful careers.

I would say sun, in first an d exalted ruler of 9th, coupled with Moon in 9th, trining Mercury in 1st, would be in foreign sales, owner, designer of what the public wants, something of luxury, sports cars, yachts, boats, clothing designer, transportation, all with sales on a worldwide scale.

Another career in communications, sports, tv personality, or sports spokesperson.

Probably would own lots of land, real estate with Taurus on mid heaven and mars/Jupiter in 4th.

Reminds me of Ted turner, after I described the above.

Hi Tom - could you post a sidereal chart, with any specified ayanamsha (Martin uses Krishnamurti, for example). Thanks
Graham

7
One career Venusian and early another one Martian.
Venus 10th lord, retrograde and in fall in a dual sign with the sign lord strong and changeable mercury.
Accounts and beauty products.

Strong mars, dispositor of the lord of POF and opposes MC.
Martian-jupiter career next.

Fashion designer who became a rebel.

I would if I knew what that stuff meant. I know what a sidereal chart is but ayanamsha and Krishnaturmti mean nothing to me.

Tom - never mind, I've found the date with a transit search with Solar Fire, and will post on sidereal forum.
But for future, you don't need to worry about the ayanamsha, just cast a sidereal chart and it will say on it what ayanamsa is used. Default is usually Lahiri. Those who use other ayanamsa can easily work it out from there, it'll only make a few minutes arc difference.

I think that the guy must have had a pretty prominent carrier, at least far above the average one.

Apart from other testimonies, the very prominent condition of the luminaries speaks of itself, both are dignified in angles. I wish I had mines in such a position.

The Sun by his very nature is determined to fame, the Moon, as the sect luminary and the most dignified planet (the almuten of the 10th - exaltation and triplicity), is also determined to carrier, success and fame.

I agree with it.

I would try to sort things out, first of all, from the Moon. In my opinion, the Moon has to do with carrier by far more than any other planet in the chart.

As said, the Moon is the almuten of the 10th - exaltation + the first triplicity ruler + the sect luminary. She is the most prominent and dignified planet in the chart. She is on a stake, but in the 9th by division. She herself rules the 12th.

10th house - carrier, success, fame, publicity, etc.
9th house - religion, science, distant travel, space ...
12th house - elements of secret, the unknown and the bunch of bad things

I would give the following relative weight to the Moon's impacts on carrier matters - the 10th house and whatever is connected with it receive 80% (Moon in the 10th WSH, the almuten of the MC, the sect ruler and as such she is determined to success in carrier); 15% to the matters of the 9th house (religion, science, distant travel, space...) because she is in the 9th house; 5% to the matters of the 12th house, because she rules the house and regards it by a sextile which is a weak indication. This is the first set of the testimonies.

The second one which, in my opinion, is very important is the accidental influence the Moon gets from her application to other planets.

The first one that drawn my attention was her almost partile application by trine to a very dignified Mercury. Mercury by definition denotes versatility (when judging soccer charts I always give Mercury to many- coloured kits), it is in a double - bodied sign. So it is an argument for a versatile carrier.

I have no sources right now before my eyes, but all traditional authors I have read had indicated that a good relationship between the Moon and Mercury is an argument of brilliant mental abilities, so called wonderful mind, some sort of genius.

Here we have both planets well dignified, and the Moon is pushing here double power to Mercury. Virgo Mercury might be a scientist, in particular a mathematician, statistician, one who is successful in computers and other hi-fi gadgets, a writer of scientific stories is also possible.

Mercury is also connected with hands, so an excellent micro-surgeon might be an option, a piano virtuoso, but seems unlikely otherwise he would have been very popular.

Opposition from Saturn, in my opinion, should add depth to his mental abilities. I do not think that Saturn by his opposition chips away at his mental abilities, but rather he should have a negative impact on the guy's ability to make a fortune from his outstanding mental faculties. The opposition triggers the 2th - 8th axis.

As Mercury receives the Moon's application from being under the horizon, it should have chipped away a good deal of the glory and public identification what he would have enjoyed if Mercury had been close or a little bit above the horizon. So does Saturn who is not determined to fame in this chart. It is my speculation because Tom said that the guy is not a celebrity.

The second realm of his carrier, in my opinion, is signified by the Moon's application to Saturn. Saturn is in the 8th by WSH and division. Saturn is in a watery sign and rules the 6th and the 7th. The 8th house is traditionally associated with death, danger to life, others' assets. The guy does not seem to be a banker; Jupiter, the sign ruler, and Venus, the exaltation ruler, in my opinion, are not in such a condition as to bring considerable profit from banking affairs.

Apart from the Moon and Mercury, both applying to him, Saturn receives regard from Mars and Jupiter, both in Scorpio and in the angle. So it must be a powerful influence. Mars dominates here because he is closer to partile and closer to angle. Thus a military carrier might be an option. Considering that the combination takes place in the Watery triplicity, he might have had a successful mariner (military) carrier.

Saturn as the most distant planet is the natural significator of space. I remember that Mark picked out correctly from 5 charts that the pilot was the guy with a retro rising Saturn. Here Saturn is also retrograde, not about to rise but set, however is closely related to Mercury who is about to rise soon after the Sun and to whom the Moon applies first translating its light to Saturn.

Let's consider the triplicity rulers of the MC, the place of the Moon, the place of Mercury and Saturn to whom the Moon applies.

Moon, Venus, Mars

Moon, Venus, Mars

Mars, Venus, Moon

From the triplicity rulers only Venus is in a bad shape, others are angular and in dignities. So the main impact of the triplicity rulers on carrier comes from the Moon (which signifies the carrier itself) and, secondarily, from Mars.

The lot of profession (ASC + Moon - Saturn) falls somewhere in Libra.
The triplicity rulers are Mercury, Saturn and Jupiter. The lot falling in an airy sign along with the Moon's application to the dignified first triplicity ruler might be an indication for a carrier connected with airy things (pilot, spacemen, astronomer, constructor of telescopes, spacecraft, etc.).

To sum it up, the guy might have been 1) a scientist (mathematician, computer specialist, may be a physicist, a physician, as Virgo is also associated with medicine where accuracy, precision, a lot of knowledge, etc. is required), may be all together in one person, and
2) a military mariner, a pilot or a spaceman is also possible.

Following the last exercise controversy I have decided to stay out of Mystery chart exercises on Skyscript. As a moderator I found the mud slinging, by one member, against me quite upsetting even if it was totally ridiculous. Plus as a moderator I have decided its better to stay out of the whole thing to keep a totally impartial stance here.

I would be happy to display the chart in any Jyotish ayanamsa but I dont know how to display Solar Fire charts without location and coordinates.
