13 by BlueMoon My apologies, I have also suffered the fate of Mercury Retrograde! The Moon is not in aspect to Venus. I am 'doing a 180' and I believe the answer is 'no'. The sun rules the 7th - the competition - and we see Venus, the grad school, chasing the sun - perhaps the grad school is looking elsewhere to fill that open spot. BM Quote Sun Mar 10, 2013 1:29 pm
14 by spicav Hi! Thanks for the replies, all. Clinton, thanks for the articles. I have read it. I understand when you speak of the combustion of venus. Bluemoon, you're right, regarding the sun being "competitors" that venus is 'chasing'! There was a new chart pulled up. The question was, if a contact was made to a "key" person in the school, will it help things, or reverse the negative outcome? The chart resulting is also complicated, because we were not sure whether to take the 9th house as signifying the lecturer, or something else. We took the 9th from the 9th, and this still came up to mercury. Mercury is retrograde, together with Saturn. Incidentally, there is the Moon, caught between both of them again, and this time, the moon is aspected with a conjunction and a trine to both significators. Seems like the moon will touch Mercury first, then move onto Saturn retrograde. Does this mean anything significant? Seems like the new chart is more positive. But we are not sure horary works this way. We asked a different question, but related. I have now made the chart smaller (55%) and included tables also for easier reference. 15 by Clinton Soule Is this heresy or blasphemy, or merely a mistake done through ignorance as we all do quite frequently? In all my studys in Traditionalism from what I understand you can *only ask a horary question one time!* Now I have heard from those Frawley-ites that Frawley may have allowed such, like months latter, but having not read Frawley as of yet I must depend on the devotion of the Frawley adept students to show his justification. But from what I understand as I am trying to be a devout Lilly-ite, Not to be confused with 'Lilliput out of the fiction novel, Guliver's Travels', but did Lilly or any Ancient writer allow the same question to be asked again because one does Not like the answer? Again I'm Not picking on our astro sibling Spicav or anyone else but we all get our ignorance exploded here from time to time as we came here to learn as well as share what we know. But is there justification for asking the same question again by any Traditional source or Frawley; which some devoted Ultra-Trads find him offensive since he works with Outers! Again, we can only speculate(?) what the latitude and longitude is on this horary and the rest of the data is Not given; so no one may run up their own calculated horoscope which Mercury Rx wise hinders much input! Clinton Garrett Soule Wise men know how little they know PS. There is an obvious out on this but it may require relocation. And that is 'apply to another school'! However the lord of the matter ruler is Not the only factor in deciphering the riddle of a horary, see Lilly's point system and you'll understand it is far more complicated than only the matter's lord! When you ask about the contact to a key person in the school, you wanted probably to look at the 10th house of the 9th, the ruler of which, Mercury, you give, and not at the 9th from the 9th as you write. As the querent's co-significator, the Moon, conjoins with Mercury, significator of the school or its key person, it is very probable the school could rethink the possible former rejection of the querent. Furthermore the mainsignificators will perfect a trine but whether this will be without prohibition and whether Mercury will be direct then, I cannot see (being without ephemeris and computer) at the moment. So me too I think it could be rather promising for your querent, to contact the school personally. Johannes Quote Sun Mar 10, 2013 11:12 pm

But basically you are right with your statement in my opinion. However, here there are two different questions! The querent could have asked at once: 1. Will I be accepted? And 2. If not, should I contat that school? Now the querent did not ask the second question at once, together with the first question, but later, after (probably) being rejected. So, as the two questions are not identical but different, the querent could ask his second question later, as he did - and he is well advised not only to ask this question, but to act according to the judgement of his question giving a clear yes in my opinion (see my text and that of spicav above). 18 by Morpheus Well, I have to agree with Clinton that meaningful question (lets say within 6 months) could only be asked once. Repeating a question in hope of getting a favorable answer is IMO not a good practice. If we consider current and previous thread http://skyscript.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7127 This question has been reportedly (Skyscript) asked 3 times within 3 months time. Will I get admitted into college? You name it whatever way... If the college is the same...the querent is the same...and it relates to admissions...then its one question...the question how would I get admission and if no who would help us is part of single horary chart...the question about likely help is also seen from the same chart... Translation of light and Collection of light, which we eagerly try to see when main significations do not aspect, refer to any chance of outside help... 19 by spicav This chart is for a different person from the other chart. (friends) Btw.. how do you know how many times one has asked the question? Actually the question has been asked more than 3 times.. not only those times which are captured by the horary - the questioner cannot remember the first time they asked the question.. WE have used tarot also, some answers were positive and some were negative. Quote Mon Mar 11, 2013 2:18 pm

I think it would be wise for him to contact the school. I will post results once it's over. Quote Mon Mar 11, 2013 2:22 pm
21 by spicav Hi!!! Just a quick update.. It looks like Horatio was correct in the FIRST prediction.. where a communication message would be sent to the questioner. Jupiter towards Saturn (3 units) Okay, looks like within 3 days, a rejection letter was sent.. so this horary was accurate after all.. thank u.. 22 by Clinton Soule Thanks Spicav, Always good to hear feedback! And I assume as you are trying to get into grad school that you are very academicly aware and the reasoning you may have Not given us the: 1)Time 2) Place 3) Date That possibly you are known in that vicinity or will be if you continue and you wish Not to give any evidence to those whom are prejudiced against astrology in your area or field. Please realize as many here Do Not list their name but a handle which may cover them from their mistakes, etc., but one can create an alias in another town or a 15 degree difference in Longitude and on the simular lattitude whereby they may be more discreet and under the radar of those reading these pages. Since you are so educated we have to assume that is why you do not list the birth co-ordinates of this particular horary; just an idea for the Neptunian spy-like posters who do not wish to put their name on the product of their words via this Forum or another. 23 by spicav Hi Clinton, thank u. no, this horary was for someone else other than me they used the first person though, so I did not ask the question myself (else I would take 11th from the 1st house). No it's not the stigma of the astrology being a pseudoscience, not at all.. and I'm not more academically aware than u and the rest of the board are, at least horary-wise .. I think we should have put the co-ordinates, but since it is a pattern we are used to, we would play in favor of the neptunian retrograde this time.. u can say we are just interested in chart dileneations and not anything else.. is there a placement (Sol?) u would like me to add in I could post it too. Or check out the ephemeris.. But to tell u the truth I am quite shocked that this chart is accurate.. considering questions like these are seldom captured in horary. We just wanted to practice our skills for a bit. Thanks for your replies and your interest. We wish u a good day. Quote Tue Mar 12, 2013 11:45 am

Many use various techniques to judge where a horary student is in their horary accumulation of overall readings via this Forum. Some post the names from other cultures of the planets(Greek, Roman, Egypt, etc.) as a tool to tell where the student is, or if the poster is actually a student at all. And some are just seeking free horary analysis here and others seem to only read the Forums without studying the texts of the Ancients, Lilly, and the skilled Contemporary Traditionalists horary artists that came after them. Since you possibly haven't read texts that include the names of the acknowledged gods of the Ancient world where the heavenly bodies were seen as gods, and you prefer webb research you may study these websites to clarify what or who Sol was: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planets_in_astrology http://cura.free.fr/decem/10kengil.html http://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/Classical_planets http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classical_planet During this Mercury Rx period it is a test from the Divine, to see if we can communicate effectively and have great discussions as well as Artistically Argue.
