Hello all,

I have seen different things on a potentially important matter: out-of-sign conjunctions. Of course, this is where two planets are very close to each other, but end up in different houses and signs.

For example in a natal chart: Mercury is in 29.04 degrees of the 8th House and Mars in 00.26 of the 9th. (This happens to occur on the Aires Point in this chart, but that's another topic!)

So in this example, if we allowed for out-of-sign conjunctions, Mercury would conjunct Mars.

The meat and potatoes of the question then is, Which authorities 'allow' for out-of-sign authorities?

I believe this is a minority positions in Traditional Astrology--and is perhaps even verboten in Hellenistic.

If anyone can suggest authorities on this, I would really appreciate it--or any other musings on the subject for that matter.
