I was Reading na interesting article by R Hand,but then he cherry picked C. Manson chart as an exemple that ACG charts work,because he has Mars in an angle over Death Valley.
But Ted Bundy has nothing over the state of Washington,where he comitted most murders.
Unless the new AC Cancer,ruled by his Moon/mars conjunction might give a clue about his activities there?

What an interesting article. I am not sure that I agree with everything in it. In particular, I do not necessarily agree that a "post-modern" approach is helpful to our practice. On the other hand, Mr. Hand makes a good case for a positive direction for astrology in our world.

I think one of the most important things is that astrology really does presuppose a Consciousness to the universe. It really can not fit within a the box of modern scientism.

I think that has been something that I have been grappling with since I converted to Traditional/Classical Astrology. I think that because these techniques tend to "work" better, many of the spiritual and philosophical premises behind the practice get lost. I don't think that the concepts of self improvement and spirituality are particularly modern concepts. I think that striving for virtue is a very old concept that has actually been largely lost in this day and age.
