I was surprised nobody mentioned the Nairobi attack that took place on Saturday at Noon. Was it because the chart for that time showed nothing outstanding.?

The Aries and Cancer,libra ingresses show nothing like Mars or Saturn over Nairobi either. I dont know what more to look at for Kenya

not sure why you'd be surprised, as very little discussion happens, especially on the mundane forum where very few astrologers seem to have much of an interest, or if they do, they keep it well hidden!

with so many things going on, it is hard to keep up. it was a horrific act and surely an important moment in kenya's history and does warrant consideration.

here is the chart that is primarily in use for kenya. i am not sure if there are other charts for kenya, but this was said to be an important moment in kenyas history and is the only chart in nic campions book of world horoscopes.

this is not a thorough analysis of this chart by any means, but just a few quick observations mostly examining midpoints, that others might like to add to in their own way.

first off i note that this event is very close to coinciding with chirons return in the chart for kenya, which is on an approx 50 year cycle. chiron is in the western angle in the chart shown above.. in the transit chart for the event of the attack chiron is at 10 pisces 37. one reason this is interesting is it forms an opposition to the closest planet/s to an angle - uranus and pluto - in the mundane chart for kenya.


of course i have mentioned on skyscript a number of times how i see the mars/pluto combination as potentially indicative of violence or actions of a more extreme nature.. the midpoint to mars/pluto in the kenya chart is 9 scorpio 34 which is right where the transiting saturn/north node happen to be at 9 scorpio 00 and 9 scorpio 38 respectively. perhaps this is just a coincidence.

the midpoint to the kenya chart of uranus/mars is very close by at 7 scorpio 30 which is engaged by the transiting angles in the noon chart for the attack at mall.. actually the midpoint for the ascendant/midheaven in the mall attack is 7 scorpio 26 if we use noon as the starting time for the mayhem. i use the 45/135 aspects, but doing a midpoint to a square such as the aspect between the ascendant and midheaven will bring you the same result. 7 scorpio to 21 virgo midheaven or 23 sag ascendant is approx 45 degrees..

the transit of pluto to natal mercury in the kenya chart is interesting from the point of view of mercury ruling both angles in the kenyan chart.
of course astrologers who don't use chiron, pluto or uranus wouldn't see any of this which is also very interesting as they might see something else!

perhaps one could consider the mars/saturn pair as having some relevance on this event in so far as these planets have a connection to war traditionally as i understand it. in the event chart the midpoint to mars/saturn is 27 virgo 09.. the sun would have passed thru this midpoint approx 1 day before the event took place as the sun in the event chart is at 28 virgo 32. again it is just an interesting astrological coincidence and since it is not exact will largely be ignored.. one notes the transit of mars for the event is moving into an exact opposition to the position of saturn in the mundane chart for kenya.. t mars is in an even tighter square to mundane neptune at 16 scorpio 35..

zodiac primary direction of square moon to midheaven sept 13 2013 using placidus under the pole, true solar equatorial key.. this is important as the moon in the natal chart is in the sign scorpio on the 3rd degree which is the point of it's fall.. converse pd same options gives 45 mars to mercury oct 5 2013 and mars to 45 jupiter oct 23rd 2013.

mundane pds using naibod key - converse moon square pluto mar 14 2013, ajupiter direct to 45 mars june 6 2013.

sec prog ascendant conjunct natal moon.
solar arc midheaven square natal moon. - the solar arc data is the reverse of the primary direction data on this one that i gave in my first sentence. i have found that solar arc directions will sometimes be the same as primary direction data, especially if you work with direct or converse data..
