Will I get the job I just applied for?

1
The job is a manager job and there are people in their office that are going to take a leave (one year) - so this position is limited to one year - at least to begin with. I also know that they are going to hire another person for another job, but they want the new hired manager to take part in who will get hired for the second position.

So as I have now applied for this manager job - sent in the application to a hiring agency on the 18th and then visited the office of the organisation that would be the employer on the 19th. The hiring and interviewing will be in January 2014, probably the second week.

So my precise question is:
Will I get this particular manager position that I applied for this week?

Please do help with this reading as I would very much like to be offered this job because I would want to be the manager for this organisation and have experience as such (rather than being offered the other later job) - and I really do need income very soon as I've not had any money income in 8 months.

I appreciate all your efforts and insights and hope I can also learn from it.
I will also post an answer as soon as I know the answer myself in January :)

I myself would say there are two signifactors of the job, one is the ruler of MC, Jupiter and the other is Mars, the ruler of the 10th house.

I sent in the application and visited their office when the Moon was actually moving through Cancer.

Here is the chart for this question:

Some additional information.

As I look at Jupiter as ruler of job/MC I just see that on the day when deadline is then the Moon comes into a perfect trine with Jupiter, ruler of the job... but also to Saturn, the ruler of all that competition in 7th house.

But then it moves forward and keeps the trine with Saturn longer than with Jupiter... then moves into square with Jupiter, but no aspect to Saturn anymore and on 10th January the Moon is exalted and moves into sextile with Jupiter and opposition to Saturn.

I also want to add that my natal chart has Jupiter retrogade and the ruler of my natal MC is either Saturn (most likely) or Jupiter.

lifestudent, you may get more bites if you use Regiomontanus by the avid traditionalists and possibly reduce the aspect lines, not including every aspect line as it is harder to read by a few of us.

Hope to have more time tomorrow to help with your horary.

And always remember this from Paul's worthy notice above:

"...However if you do post a chart for analysis, take on the role of astrologer, and make a genuine attempt to describe the background of the question and the judgement you have formed, and are asking for clarification on particular techniques or issues, you will find the members here are very obliging to beginners. Any advice or clarifications given are provided to encourage you to come to your own conclusions and help get recognition on chart meaning. Any advice given or any judgements made by other members are only to help you reach your own judgements as the astrologer of the question...."

Stay diligent!

Thanks Clinton.

I will try and become the astrologer of the chart myself and tell you a bit about what I think.

I post the chart again with fewer aspect lines for clearer view.
I prefer whole sign houses - but if people always use Regio, then they can note that Jupiter is in 12th house and the Moon would be in the 1st.
With that system Mars is no longer a factor as Regio shows ruler of ten to be Jupiter.

But anyway - if I try to understand the chart the first thing I notice is that the ruler of MC, Jupiter is actually within 10? from the ASC. But it makes no aspects to the Moon - and this worries me a bit. So Jupiter is ruled by ME, the Moon. I would think the plus is bigger than minus ... so I'll put a plus on it.

Jupiter is retrogade now so it is in fact moving away from the ASC and the Moon (except that planets can never actually be moving backwards in astronomical reality)

Jupiter is also in trine with Saturn, the ruler of the 7th house that some say is my competition. This worries me as this trine will last for some time. But since I am the ruler of Jupiter, maybe this just indicates that there is competition and Jupiter has to choose between me and the competition and chooses me as it is place in my court.

However, the Moon (me) sextiles Mars (10th house ruler) and trines Uranus, a planet in the 10th house. So it is a plus sign.

I also notice that the MC and the nodes are in perfect trine and sextile relationship so I think that is a very good indicator as well.

All in all I think it is a yes answer, but there is an indication of some competition.

But please do share your interpretion and I will reveal the answer in January as promised.

Additional info about how it shows with natal;
I just checked the transit chart to my natal for the three days in question: when I sent the application, when I visited the employer and on the moment this question is asked and I see that

Tr. Moon is conjunct my Snode and Tr. Venus to my Nnode.
Tr. Jupiter and Moon are sextiling my natal Moon.
Tr. Sun is conjunct natal Jupiter.

Lifestudent, I'm Not certain that you understood me. While there are a few who are adept at using whole signs there are many here who may jump on your query more quickly if you posted it in regiomontanus as well as whole sign methodology. But the Tradionalists among us can't post the chart as there is No data(time, place, date) of the chart. If you post it for the other's benefit I'm sure some will dive on your query like a large fish to a worm or other juicy bait.

*Always good to post the data!*

As Paul advises in "Please Read Before Posting on this Forum":
Guidelines we wish to emphasise
The general forum guidelines apply to this forum also, but there are a number that we would like to emphasise:
http://skyscript.co.uk/forums/read.html
Quote:
When including chart data in your posts please include the place name, (including state if necessary - and co-ordinates if possible), time and time-zone used. Also give the degree ascending so that other astrologers can verify that they are working with the chart that you are using. ......
For those reluctant of posting the data due to being covert one can vary the longitude by 15 degree intervals to another city.

IE. Say you lived right on the longitude of Denver, Colorado. You can vary east or west using another cities co-ordinate that are nearly the same in lattitude and vary east or west 15, 30, 45, 60, 75 degrees and the horoscope comes out practically the same if you get my drift,

And you have remained anonymous as to your true co-ordinates!

IE. #2 Say you lived in London as William F. Lilly did, London is about zero degrees in longitude, and one can go east or west at 15 degree intervals on the same lattitude line and find a city on astro.com that has near the same minutes yet the same degree in 15 degree intervals from your point of reference.

IE. #3 I'm in Reno, Nv., and a small town near Denver I can use if I wanted to be discrete and covert that is so simular and only minutes different in longitude and lattitude yet will yeild practically the exact same map if you understand.

I know you prefer the whole chart system, but many like myself may be not bothering with your post as they are avid regiomontanus advocates and they aren't disagreeing with you on the whole chart system, it's just that their expertise lies in utilizing Lilly's style and many on board may jump in when they see a regiomontanus horoscope.

It's like a former member Olivia, whom I understand is quite ill lately pointed out in a previous discussion '...that some Ancients used Placidus..'. But many here *may* and I do mean may avoid placidus posts as they may see the poster as rather a novice who has came in from the Moderne camps of using placidus.

I can not speak for every artist aboard Deb's precious forum, but I well know many devout Trads respect those who post in regio, as we reverently love the fact that Lilly did and we humbly are trying to arrive at Lilly's level of adept and holy deciphering the riddle of horary.

Aha, ok I understand :)
Thank you for explaining it all.

I just thought to myself that since I had to become the astrologer I would also have to choose the system ... but it can also be interesting to compare the house systems for me, especially since I could indeed learn a lot from you advanced ones and because this is a case that will have an answer soon. So, depending on the answer we might be able to see which house system had a more accurate answer. I live in polar latitude, so this makes it even more interesting as a study case to compare I would guess. The differences are greater.

The latitude is 64?
Question asked on 20th Dec.

So, here is the chart in Regio for those inthusiasts. :)

There is no divine approval to any House System used in Horary Charts, however, God of Horary would be furious if the astrologer of the chart switches from one house system to another while reading a same chart. God would be further furious if the astrologer of the chart asks other members to read charts suited to their own styles e.g Tropical, Sidereal, Chinese, Vedic etc etc.

A particular Horary charts is a sacred astrological union existing between the querent and the astrologer. It captures the magical moment, answering only to the techniques and styles used by that astrologer 'at the time of accepting the question'. I know some members would argue that they can read any published charts according to their own preferred system. They are right too. There are so many diverse and sometimes contradictory techniques present in Horary astrology that you can always pick any one to suit the answer you thought might be the right one.

Be consistent. :sg

P.s Now this one is specifically addressed to Clinton.

I dont see any one who prefers 'Regiomontanus' while acting as a astrologer of his own charts, can have serious difficulty reading charts of another astrologer which are cast in 'Whole Sign' or 'Placidus' House System. Controversy exists in the use of particular techniques. For example some astrologers are not comfortable with 'John Frawleys' take on 'reception'. Some astrologers are also not comfortable with Derek Appleby of changing the signs of significaotrs or planets according to 'mutual reception etc etc.

Hmmm... thank you Morpheus ... this is why I thought I should stick to the system I chose when I casted the chart as I just always prefer whole signs although I do not have a research report to support anything at all since I just read about western astrology in the last few months and have not had the chance to study 1000 charts or more to see consistency :)

Anyway - might I ask you to comment the issue in question by the rule you prefer?

I'd like to get a few comments on this and even though they would differ, which they most certainly will if there are more than one astrologer commenting :) - then it is indeed interesting for me to see which technique works the best when I will get the answer.

Hello lifestudent,

I regret to say so, but without any application between your significator, the Moon, and Jupiter, singnificator of the job, there is no chance in my opinion to get the manager position you are applying for.

But please keep us informed how the matter will develop!

Thank you Lifestudent for posting the chart in Regio for those of us who have preference, prejudice, bias for beloved Lilly's style and his methods.
However I note you still did not post the data as in my prior post about Paul's divinely inspired suggestion for the benifit of our forum membership; you will note latter as you study if we don't know the actual data requested we may have delays in seeing if the Moon may be read as Rx or not as in:

http://skyscript.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7737
Quote:
In CA I, Chapter XIII, page 80, Lilly states:
"...Moon when she is slow in motion and goeth less in 24 hours than 13 degrees and 10 minutes she is then equivalent to a rectrograde planet."
In this particular horary Luna is at a speed of 12 degrees and 29 minutes 55 seconds, far under the 13 degrees and 10 minutes that Lilly speaks of so the Moon who never rectrogrades is read as if she does from this horary and she is the lord of the 9H of long distance travel.

The quote is from the 6th post taken from:

http://skyscript.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7727

Have many of you met with such a horary and what is your oppinion on the *Lilly Rx Moon*?
Without the time, place, location it's more difficult to see the Moon's speed to calculate Luna's speed!

Well I'm certain Lilly was Not into polytheism despite his studying texts from the Ancients, and I'm aware that there may be those today who are polytheistic, but Lilly was not of that persuation, and I see your point and respect your views but I wished to help out and see no heresy in asking to use another method as Mr. Lilly utilized. And I like Lilly I'm certain only recognize one deity who made the stars!

I am having trouble trusting this horary as it's only two minutes over the 27 degree rising mark.

Guildo Bonatus a great horary artist that Lilly respected enough to use his methods to a degree, said that '...when early or late degrees are rising in a horary the querent is testing the astrologer or if early degrees not enough has transpired, ..if late degrees it is too late as the for the matter to be effected..'

Which I interpret as the querant may be playing games and is Not serious!

Lilly said '...unless the late asc. corresponds to the querant's age it is Not safe to answer'.

Benjamin Dykes however as I understand disputes Lilly and Coley's interpretation of Bonatus upon this:

As Lilly's consideration may be misunderstood(Christian Astrology I, p. 122), that horary questions are either invalid or not worth asking (or already decided) if the degree of the Ascendant is within 3? of the beginning or end of the rising sign. Does Bonatti truly say what the span of degrees is that Lilly describes.

http://www.astrologyweekly.com/speci...-ascendant.php

As this was taken from Bonatti document under public domain I quote Bonatus which I think this is from Coley's writing of which as those two, Lilly and Coley were so tight a friends, thus I understand Lilly got this from Coley's translation of Bonatti:

Guido Bonatus:

Beware of those cases in which the astrologer is subject to err and mistake
1. When the querent comes only to try him, or put a trick on him, as many do, saying, 'Let us go to such an Astrologer, and ask him such a thing, and see if he can tell us the truth or not.' Just as the Jews propounded questions to our Lord Jesus Christ, not so much to be resolved, as to tempt ad ensnare Him.
2. Wherein the Artist will be liable to err, is when the Querent does not ask out of a serious or settled intention, as some do when they meet an astrologer by chance or go to him on other business; on a sudden they think of something, and so ask, as it were, by-the-bye; wherein 'tis a thousand to one but mistakes happen.
But thou mayest be ready to say, 'How shall I know whether the querent come out of a solid intention, or only to try me?' To which I answer, that it seems a very abstruse and difficult point, perfectly to find out; but this I have often experienced and found true, viz., I observed the hour of the Question, and if the Ascendant then happened to be very near the end of one sign and the beginning of another, so that it seemed as between both; I said they did not ask seriously, or that they came to try me; and I have had many that have thereupon confessed what I said to be true, and began to think that I knew more than before they believed."

And of Sue Ward's understanding:

http://easyweb.easynet.co.uk/~sueward/a ... 0lilly.htm

Check out what she says about question has 27, 28 or 29 degrees rising!

This late asc concept was heavily debated aboard this thread:

http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/sh ... 830&page=3

I'm not questioning your sincerity in the least, only quoting and referencing what others have stated and the fact Dykes disputes Lilly and Coley's interpretation as stated in this post; but I have not a Phd. in Latin and can Not verify this as unless I truly understand Latin can I sware that either of these sources really understood Banatti?
