Serious Pregnamcy 1 by borealis This question brought serious concerns and confusions. I am very adept with natal astrology however still consider myself very new with practicing horary. Obviously practice is easy while all y friend begin comming together with most profound questions. Here is a chart that I chose to act stupid about. In fact, I lied and told her that I have no clue... the chart told me not to judge. The "chart did not tell me, I just choose not to judge in fear of being too new and perhaps going a little awall" I am submitting these charts for discussion and will be more than pleased to follow up with the outcome if help is granted. The orignal question was "Will I become pregnant soon" I understood the question on November 2, 2005 at 19:58 Vancouver British Columbia. Immediately when I brought teh chart up I felt pain and sorrow and saw so much 8th house action that it kind of disturbed me. Something was wrong though and so I checked my stats and it turned out that my program altered the time or I wrote the time in wrong. The chart I was looking at was for October 31, 1977 15:10 Vancouver British Columbia???? And so I began...with the proper stats however during the correction, the question changed to AM I PREGNANT? or will I be pregnant soon but the time only changed by one minute: My focus was immediately drawn to all the 5th house action. Whithin it lies Jupiter Sun Moon in scorpio. The chart ruler is Moon in a water sign(scorpio) 5th house ruler is Venus in Sag 6th house sextle Jupiter conjunct Pluto and opposite Part of Fortune in 12th. The Ruler of the chart also shows a stress with Part of Fortune in 12th. Two other area's of concern are the sun in 5th square Saturn in in 2nd (I believe to be just suggesting that the querent is severly financially stressed) and the south node directly on top of the 5th house cusp forming a trine with Saturn. Every way I look at this chart suggests that the answer is Yes, she is pregnant but some huge misfortune will come to her or her baby during this time. I refuse to Judge for I am not sure if I am judging accurately and this type of concern is better left to a proffessional not a student. I would still like to evaluate in order to help my understanding and studies though. Stats to help with judging: The querent is of fair skin with brown hair. Her face is near perfect but she has bruises and cuts and scrapes all over her body. She has issues with temper, and manic depressive episode currently in depression with explosive episodes. She is an extreemely loving and sensitive person just struggling to find the right medications. If she is pregnant, I know it will be a girl but her medication could be very horrible for a baby in the firt stages. Her partner is Tall and fair and Alcoholic. They are currently living with terrible financial stress. In her natal chart there is direct connections with sorrow and affliction through children however she previously had an abortion and I took it as that. She is 28 years old and her partner 38. If any other information is required please let me know. My advice to her was obviously to see her doctor a.s.a.p. Quote Sat Nov 05, 2005 10:07 pm
2 by Scorpio711 Hi I've just had a quick look at this chart and I am inclined to say she is not pregnant and not likely to get pregnant at the moment either. The Moon is VOC - so nothing is going to happen, its also under the Sun's beams so very weak. There are no separating aspects from her significator, the Moon and the baby, Venus, ruler of 5th house to suggest she is pregnant now and there are no applying aspects to say she will get pregnant. The receptions between mother and baby aren't very good either and you need good reception and an applying aspect for something to happen. The South Node is also in the 5th house which would deny pregnancy. In my opinion the planets are too weak to act and can't act without any aspects anyway. 3 by yuzuru I would just add that as there are important fruitfull signs in this horary, the asc in cancer and the scorpio intercepted in the 5th, the woman is probably fertile, although venus in the 6th may show an difficult pregnancy or a sick child... Yuzuru Quote Mon Nov 07, 2005 3:12 am
4 by borealis Thank you very much for your deductions. I'm finding my studies going so slowly because I seem to find so many contradictions and sometimes don't know which points should carry the most weight. I see the point of significators not making aspects and that should most likely be rated as a priority however I am a bit confused about the moon being Void of course. When I look at it there is a definite current aspect between the conjunction of the moon with the Vertex and the Part of Fortune who sits in the 12th house. The 12th house is fears, sorrows ect. and I can tell you that it would very infortunate for this girl to be pregnant at this moment a huge fear. At 20:58 on the same day, before the moon passes into the next sign there is a curious switch in aspects. The moon makes sextiles and trines with each of the angles. At the same time, the curious conjuct Vertex and Inconjunct Part of fortune switches from the moon to mercury who is ruler of the 12th. Just to add to my dillemma here, the ruler of 12th(mercury) also makes a squae aspect with Uranus through this time line who if we were considering modern planets at all would be the ruler of the 5th house. This would be using the equal house system. If I use the Regiomontanus system than someting equally curious happens. The ruler of 5th becomes Venus who is opposite that part of fortune in 12th and about to become conjunt with Pluto all of which is taking place in house 6 of health and affliction. (At the time the 5th house signifyer changes to mars as well though) In the end.. I will know the answer in a few days. What I'm wondering though is the weight of part of fortune. Does the moon aspecting such a part and then aspecting the angles have any weight or only if it's combined with other major planetary aspects? Attached with that question is are inconjunct even considered at all! Also, should I perhaps simplify all of my readings to: Check the significators of two houses involved if there is no separating aspects then just say no and stop reading there because there is no connection beyond that one? Thank you again for your time...all. I'm just trying to learn properly and any suggestions about what I am doing right or wrong here are extreemely helpful. Once again, I will have true results in a few days. Quote Mon Nov 07, 2005 8:39 pm
5 by Scorpio711 This is a basic yes/no question so I personally wouldn't go looking for anything else other than a straight forward answer. Yep, its great when you can find something that looks impressive but that only feeds your ego more than anything else. The Moon may not be VOC at the exact time of the question but as it shows the movement in the chart, I personally wouldn't consider the aspects you mention, it goes on to do nothing until it changes signs - so nothing is going to happen regarding a pregnancy at the moment despite the significators being in fertile signs because the planets are not particularly strong - from what I can remember. I was taught by John Frawley and I don't use inconjunct aspects or the outer planets. You also have to be very careful about the phrasing of these questions - I was once asked 'When will I have a baby?' and read the chart accordingly - the answer was in about three years. A few weeks later she told me she was pregnant but she hadn't asked 'Am I pregnant?'! JF ran through the chart and told me he wouldn't have answered it any differently but had she asked the latter question the answer would have been 'yes you are'. You cannot always believe what the client says! In a nutshell - keep it simple. Quote Mon Nov 07, 2005 9:51 pm
Serious Pregnancy- General Moon VOC question 6 by borealis Thank you Scorpio for your advice and your patience. I hope you understand that I am not trying to argue or prove myself right but simply trying to understand the art. I really appreaciate your help. In this chart the are two major signs of "no" (no separation and no course for the moon) however for future questions: If I am to place the moons course at such a level of importance with the following stats, "nothing will come of anything" from the morning of November 2nd to the afternoon of November 5th. That's 3 whole days!! That is quite the window for "nothing" will come of it. This doen't quite make sence to me at all?? If this is true, I'm wondering if I should commit some crime on these days because if I'm arrested, nothing should come of it. (Joking) But seriously, did the Kings in traditional days who had advisories take national holidays for these time periods or something? I'm wondering if there is some sort of history behind this theory. Perhaps there is a good book or resource someone can guide me to dedicated to these phases of nothing. Once again though Scorpio...thanks for your patience. 7 by Scorpio711 No problem! The way I look at it is, even if the planets are strong and there is plenty of reception but the Moon is VOC, the thing may come together but not be lasting or have the desired effect, so if you want something to be successful a VOC Moon is not going to do it. I suppose if you elected a time to go on your rampage of crime, you would look for the Moon to be VOC! The Moon shows the course of events but only when its relating to other planets by an aspect so if the are no aspects there cannot be any action. In horary the Moon is of great importance and isn't something you can ignore if you want your horaries to be right. If you're doing an election, you'd obviously avoid this time. Horary questions are run at the time you understand the question so if the Moon is VOC there's not much you can do about it really apart from not reading the chart but that doesn't mean if you ask again days later, you'll get the answer you were looking for! According to William Lilly, when the Moon is VOC in Pisces, Cancer, Taurus and Sagittarius it manages to perform. The best book you should study for horary is William Lilly's Christian Astrology. He was an expert in this field. All the best Sco Quote Tue Nov 08, 2005 11:23 pm
8 by borealis By the way...I'm not planning any poor behaviour with the moon here...just trying to understand the theory properly:) This Christian Astrology could perhaps be the most difficult book to obtain by the Library...it seems as though it is NEVER RETURNED! lol..I suppose it is good! As for the outcome of the origional question. You were in fact right. She is not pregnant and in fact she will not become pregnant any time soon. It turnes out her appointment did result in a series of events to determine that she may have fetility issues. Poor girl. Quote Wed Dec 07, 2005 8:34 pm

Update on old results 10 by borealis I have been ill for a while soI'm out of the loop but feeling great and so hi again!!! UPDATE: This was my first post here and one of those charts that I never really thought I totally understood but new news has put quite a twist on this old story. I asked this question on November 2, 2005... She was NOT pregnant. However her natal chart was screaming pregnancy for this year and so it was hard for me to let go... This April, she became aware of her pregnancy and sadly, by May, had an emercency surgery to remove the baby who was on the edge of her tube. A long and difficult hospital stay followed. She is fine now and healthy. I bring this up for 2 reasons; 1. The original question was actually will I become pregnant soon and she was pregnant within five months. Normally I would say that that is not really soon and the Moon's VOC was technically accurate...but ... 2. the November chart really described the situation that was about to unfold. Hmmm. Some Fascinating points in this chart; The ruler of 5th is Mars in 11th shows both fertility with a ruler in 11th and difficulty as a malefic in 11th. Applying square to Neptune. (Health issues surrouding childbearing activities were spotted but is now understood to be directly related to a drug that she has been taking for a long time.) The path of the 5th house shows a clear trail as well. 1. A difficult and Afflicted Sun in 5th which is very bad for children. 2. A moon representing the querent is in scorpios water but not aspected at all by anything except conjunct Vtx..Moon:24Sco24'45" Vertex:24Sco11'57"R and 3. Finally the house ends with mercury. No surprise that he is ruler of 12th. Anyway, curious to know if ya'll just think this is coincidence or perhaps the chart was forseeng something a little further than "soon":)??
