Good catch with the besieged config. Taurus' story sure shows it in action.

Kali
It will be interesting to see what will happen, when Taurus will escape of this besiegement. The "icecold colleague" seems to be well described by Saturn in scorpio.

But what is your reasoning that Saturn should signify the new job? 7th as the 2nd of the 6th? I always stick with the tradition to the 10th for one's own occupation.

The first aspect the Moon makes is a trine to Saturn in Scorpio, which seems to describe your friendly (trine) but intransigent (Saturn) boss.

The next aspect the Moon makes is a square to Neptune's antiscion in 23.5 degrees Libra in the fifth house, which is close to the Moon's north node in 28.5 degrees Libra in the fifth house. Your direction for growth, maybe new contacts. Neptune in the fifth house seems to describe something creative?

The Moon has just passed the big cardinal cross, which seems to represent the huge effort you made to deliver. This includes Chiron's antiscion at 14.5 degrees Libra. Chiron, at 15.5 degrees Pisces is exactly conjunct the Midheaven, indicating career wizardry.

Fleur, please help me to understand, why Saturn should be the boss in this chart.

A more traditional explanation for Saturn showing the next job is Jupiter, lord of the 10th. Frawley explains and Taurus points out in this analysis of the chart that
Finding lord 10 in the 1st house is much more positive indicator of being given the job: the job is in the querent's pocket. The closer lord 10 is to the cusp, the stronger is the testimony.
Saturn explains what this job entails but it is a new job/project he easily gets.

I wasn't at all sure of the meaning of Neptune's antiscion in Libra in the fifth house, which is also part of the current situation, being within one degree of aspect to the Moon.

Saturn is authority, which in this case is his boss, who is also his friend but still has ultimate decision on what kind of job he will be given.

So I think he is looking at the number of degrees between the Moon and its square to the Moon's node, about eight degrees, for timing on getting a better direction.

You may have something there as the antiscia of Venus falls on the North Node and being ruled by Jupiter could very well show a new position in the company. Frawley writes that in questions of one's 'next job' you would look to the 'next sign round in the order of the zodiac (anitclockwise) and it's ruler to show the next job." The 10th shows their present job. In Taurus' horary Aries is the next sign and is ruled by Mars, the job he would like to leave. If you then move to the next sign you have Taurus ruled by Venus. Venus rules the 5th and there is Mars and Saturn's heavy influence.

Thanks for your explanations, Fleur and kali! :D

I have to admit that they are not convincing me at the moment, but perhaps after
a new analysis . . .

My main problem is to follow you taking Saturn
first as a general significator for authorities within this question, him being clearly significator of colleagues and problems and difficulties (by houses 7 and 8, and what seems to be very proper by the feedback Taurus has given);
and second, as the new job, only because Saturn is the one the Moon is applying to the next.

But thanks again!

I respect your opinion and only write about the patterns I see hoping if I'm not using sound astrological judgement someone would take the time to point it out.

Thanks,

Thanks to all - and there are many who have taken the time to view this horary.
My apologies for not responding sooner, but I was trying to avoid posting a response until such time I had met with my manager, so that I could put the horary in context with the reality of what will/is to happen.

However, as it so happened, one day I was out sick (lacked total motivation to make it in to work), the next day she was out (maybe she was feeling the same way - the truth of the matter is that I do believe she values me highly and I know it would upset her tremendously if I was to leave; she may suspect that is possible). The next day I worked from home (still struggling); the following day she worked from home (starting to form a pattern - right)? The next day we were both in the office, but both under the weather, and both agreed that this was not a good day to meet (well - obviously, she is gearing herself up to what she might have to discuss with me, and I am trying to be accepting on what will follow...). In the meantime, I gave her a beautiful present that I had bought for her from a recent trip, and she gave me a big hug, and thanked me sincerely. We have both been trying to normalize the situatin and mend the rift, because we both like and respect each other as human beings.

OK, I could go on, but as it so happens, I'm actually going to have that long due conversation with her in exactly 1 1/2 hours today, so will have more updates at that point.

Now, I've read through each of your posts several times over, trying to put in to the context of the horary and then reality.

I think one of the key factors is that we should determine which house rules the "2nd job" - and if there will be a 2nd job. The way I went about it is that the 10th rules the current job - rules by Jupiter, and as you can see, my significator, the Moon, is separating from it.

Based on Lilly, who as as I recall - gave the 4rth to the current home, and the 4rth from the 4rth as the 2nd home - in a similar fashion, I am giving the 10th from the 10th to the 2nd job within the same (or different) company. This brings me to the ruler of the 7th, which is the debilatated Saturn in the 5th - which doesn't seem to make sense; but possibly the 2nd job may entail discipline, slow, hard work but in an area that I may find more "enjoyable" (5th signifcation) than where I am now.

Some comments to answers that have been raised by your posts:

Morpheus:
Moon in Cancer exalts Jupiter...

Your current immediate boss might be your senior or mentor

Jupiter in Cancer loves Moon..

ditto.. you are his/her precious. The relationship is more than a friendship...
You are correct, just a few minutes ago, she invited me to taste a cake that she had made, and IM'd me to say I have many talents. It is more than friendship, and I know how much she values me. And I also have a lot of respect for her. She would be very upset to lose me. She told me not long ago "We'll work it out, don't worry, we'll work it out"...
and btw, taurus7, is your natal Sun located in Taurus or Moon? just curious
Indeed it is, I am, in fact, Taurus

you seem to be rather strong with the Moon in the ascendant in her own house, but your difficult and dejected situation is surely well signified by the fact that the Moon is beteween the rays of Mars and Saturn (some would say she was besieged). Both malefics are in a very bad stat - Mars is in his detriment, peregrine and retrograde, Saturn is peregrine.
Now that's an interesting point that I did not take into consideration. This project almost broke me (I kid you not); and it was relentless, and many a time I felt it took on a "demon" persona of its own, in that it refused to "release" me, I felt a prisoner in its grasp (no exaggeration). The beseigement makes perfect sense; so that is why it is so difficult for me to come to terms with being assigned to this on a permanent basis. I had originally thought I was brought on this temporarily. But I struggled through it and I think I displayed great strength in fighting through it.

Question: When will this beseigement end?
The new position is signified by Jupiter, lord 10 (strong in his exaltation in the 1st), or, to be more precise, lord 10 is significator of that director who would decide, whether or not you would get a desired position.
That's where I'm not sure I agree; is the new position ruler of 10th, or 10th (Jupiter) from 10th (Saturn)?

I have been careful, mended some fences on a personal basis with my manager, much more low key and amiable now. But the conversation still lies ahead...

Fleur, you bring some interesting points here and which I am not familiar with. What does the antiscion indicate? ANd do they really appy in horary? My apologies for my lack of knowledge in this area...

Indeed, it was a huge effort, and a good catch right there. All the planets invovled in the grand cross are heavy duty. But not sure what you mean with "career wizardry"?

So I think he is looking at the number of degrees between the Moon and its square to the Moon's node, about eight degrees, for timing on getting a better direction.
Why would you consider the Moon's node as a significator in this case? I'm just not familiar with your method of interpretation and would like to understand.

I thought it was not the next sign, but the turned house; i.e. the 10th from the 10th. What is your source for "next sign"?

OK, another hour before our conversation. This conversation will be the likely trigger of the direction that I expect to take, and should help put the horary into better context. I will post the results when I can.

Many thanks to all who have helped to analyze this horary.

Thank you Kali.

It's interesting that whether we go to the next sign from the 10th (ruled by Venus), or the 10th from the 10th (ruled by Saturn), we still come back to the 5th house for answers! Fascinating...
which leads me to the obvious question of the what is the signifcation of the 5th?

That's what I was hoping you could tell us. :) What does your company do? Another thought is it might represent the strain on your free time/fifth house affairs.
