by Mjacob Just what I was thinking. All well Amelia I hope. The tension mounts Matthew Matthew Goulding Quote Sat Mar 29, 2014 1:28 pm
by amandaW whatever happened to Amelia? Confused Sorry. I thought I had the time and energy to cope with the stuff going on ( father's funeral etc.) but I didn't. So was just too busy and tired until now. Anyway- back to Shelley. I was going to comment individually on everyone?s responses but I think given the delay I?ll just post the facts and we can discuss them in relation to the responses, why they were right or not astrologically, afterwards. Occupation She doesn't have a high status job, not does she do anything related to social justice/philanthropy. She was a personal assistant to a board member/office manager. She used to work in the head office of an international group that was a bit of a federation rather than a highly centralised model. Although mainly based in the office in UK she had a lot of contact ( telephone/email and visits) from people from all over the world. She also from time to time organised international conferences. Even though she is very good at her work, she tends to lack confidence and feel underappreciated ( perhaps rightly given the nature of some of her bosses that I have also known). I think she would have liked more frequent visible status ? rather than be in the shadow of her boss. She certainly did best with lots of autonomy. But since 2003 she has had more insular jobs. For a while her jobs situation was quite unstable though she is more settled again now. She is currently a sort of legal secretary (a step down rather than up for her, due to a mix of confidence issues and circumstances outsider her control). But she isn?t afraid to do things her way as far as the situation allows ( at present she is in a quite restrictive organisation but still manages to introduce her own approach to some extent). Interests She did retrain in massage therapy (which she is also good at) but so far has failed to launch this as a serious ( financial) alternative to her day job. She used to be a keen fitness fanatic- cycling, gym etc but some injuries as well as poor finances have put paid to this. She is a vociferous reader of novels ? she used to particularly enjoy Stephen King type books. She now is also a keen social gamer. I know a lot of people who have taken up gaming on line ( myself included) but soon got bored yet she has really taken to it and continued some for a number of years and made real life new face- to-face friends from it. Other than that she doesn?t have a huge circle of friends but does have a few close ones. She likes animals and has volunteered at a shelter. She has also volunteered with old people and at a centre for the homeless one Christmas. She does spend quite a lot of time at home alone ( often online emailing and gaming) but this is a much due to financial restraints as anything else. Before this she was keen to socialise over a glass of wine, although I think more in 1-1 or small groups rather than big parties. She used to smoke ( for 20 years or more) but has given up now. Appearance etc. She?s relatively tall. But she does struggle with her weight particularly since she gave up regular exercising, and this makes her unhappy. She is definitely 100% female but she?s not into pretty stuff ? she?s much more a casual jeans and T-shirt type. Family Obviously she lives in a different part of the world to her family. But she is close to her twin. She has one other sister she doesn?t really get on with and is not especially close to her mother ( I think she got on better with her father but I?m not totally sure as they were always so far away). Relationships She was married ( when she was in her late 20s) but divorced some years later. I think it ended rather badly, and she lost touch with her ex-husband who is now remarried. She?s not really had a good solid relationship since, though she has had some on-off ones, some flirtations and some that have never totally got off the ground. I think she would like a good relationship but has more or less given up hope now. I think her tastes are quite conventional sexually, at least that is the impression I have had when she staked about men and relationships- but of course to some extent she is the product of a generation which didn?t encourage us to experiment too much or widely. She has no children. And I don?t think she had a particular desire for them ( although one can never be sure about this with people I think). Home She has lived in the same place for nearly 20 years. I would say there is nothing especially noteworthy about her home. It is more functional than presentational I suppose. As she lives in a flat she has no control over the outside of her building The only comment I am going to make on what other's have said is on fleur's remark about Mercury. It is strong but don't forget she's lived this out through being a twin.[/b] "The universe is full of magical things, patiently waiting for our wits to grow sharper" Eden Phillpotts Quote Thu Apr 03, 2014 7:18 pm

by Mjacob Thank you Amelia for posting the answer. I am sure we can check our own posts now and let you tend to your own affairs and your loved ones. Once things settle down though how about her twins chart? If you feel up to doing this again then please go ahead In the meantime though it sounds like you need a rest so go ahead and don't mind us Matthew Matthew Goulding Quote Thu Apr 03, 2014 9:52 pm
by waybread Thanks for the feedback, Amelia. Thinking back to your OP, do you see Shelly as a more Saturnine or Uranian type of person? Or something else? One thing I might note about Mercury is that it rules the hands, in addition to themes mentioned above. A lot of on-line hobbies (the Internet, after all, requires hand-eye coordination) are consistent with this dimension of Mercury-- as typing/word-processing would be if this is something she does in her job. Would you say Shelly has lived up to her potential? Or is this just some modern astrology wishful thinking? Quote Wed Apr 09, 2014 3:32 am
by amandaW A few minutes break from the endless personal sorting out.. just so you know I haven't forgotten this thread. Waybread asked Thinking back to your OP, do you see Shelly as a more Saturnine or Uranian type of person? Or something else? I chose her because I though she was a good example of the more Saturnian type. And I chose her rather than one of the other charts I know well as she had all the personal planets ( except Moon) there whereas others have them more scattered Would you say Shelly has lived up to her potential? No. I think she hasn't had many opportunities (despite the sun/Jupiter conjunction). But then I could say that about a lot of people. And come to think about it, given the limits of her occupation, she has ended up not to badly off asset wise - with a flat in a nice part of London. So there is protection there. Mjacob asked Once things settle down though how about her twins chart? I don't really know enough about her. She lives in yet another continent! I've met her a couple of times and know she also married and divorced in a similar way but a few years later than Shelley, but I don't know what drives her or her interests etc. Incidentally - I know another ( completely unrelated and male) person born that day who was also born in the Southern hemisphere ( different continent) and now lives in the Northern one so there is clearly something in the planetary alignment that makes big shifts in location when young very probable. perhaps it is that Sun with Jupiter? Or perhaps it is the Uranian influence afterall? [/quote] "The universe is full of magical things, patiently waiting for our wits to grow sharper" Eden Phillpotts Quote Sun Apr 13, 2014 8:01 pm
