Where to locate a "seminar on spiritual development&quo 1 by ChrisB Hello, Could you please help on trying determine where to locate a seminar on spiritual development? The question was "If there will be at least 50 people who whould sign-in for the seminar?" From one side the "50 people" requirement is a request from the person who would arrive from abroad to give the seminar, but from another side the querent's only will is to organize the seminar so people have the opportunity to attend it and get the knowledge. Thank you very much for your suggestions. Regards, Chris Quote Sun Dec 11, 2005 7:40 pm
Where to hold seminar 2 by voyagergirl I would use the 11th house as the significator for a large gathering such as this. Since it involves spiritual matters, I suppose I'd look at any aspects involving the 12th house and Jupiter too. Quote Sun Dec 11, 2005 9:27 pm
by yuzuru There is controversy if the 11th house can be used for gatherings, and I REALLY would not use the 12th house of self-undoing for "spirituality" issues, unless maybe in the case it is a seminar about wicca. The real house of spirituality is the 9th, and also is the house of higher studies (for a seminar maybe the 3rd is also important) and of travels (the guest is from overseas), 2nd would show if there is possibility of profit, 7th the public in general. But I would suggest that an election is more apropriate than an horary for this issue. Yuzuru Quote Sun Dec 11, 2005 10:08 pm
by granny_skot Good Goddess and the Greybeard, why would you consider Wicca in the 12th? No Wiccan would, the 9th, Divination, Education and Travel. Granny Quote Mon Dec 12, 2005 5:06 pm

by yuzuru granny: actually I was kind of kidding :-) but some very strict catholics like Frawley really thinks all forms of witchcraft, even white ones, are 12th house issues. I personally think it would be 3rd house issue, the house of the goddess. Yuzuru Quote Wed Dec 14, 2005 3:36 pm
by Sue Witchcraft is traditionally 12th house and I don't believe there is any differentiation between good and bad. I'm not sure being a Catholic has anything to do with it. Quote Wed Dec 14, 2005 8:17 pm
by ### Witchcraft is traditionally 12th house I believe that was Lilly's introduction, or it at least comes from his times - which actually was at the tail-end of what we call traditional astrology. Quote Wed Dec 14, 2005 8:44 pm
by yuzuru I'm not sure being a Catholic has anything to do with it. Not to offend anyone... is that I just finished Real Astrology, and I am pretty sure it does :-), Frawley doesn?t seen to like the paganism very much, and in an interview in this site he himself said that sometimes his religion fights with his astrology, that?s my quote. and I don?t know, but for me wicca is not exactly witchcraft, but a neo-pagan mixture of elements, so witches are still 12th, but I like to think of wicca as 3rd :-) Of course is just an idea, there is no practical or philosofical importance at all :-P Quote Wed Dec 14, 2005 10:48 pm
by ### Modern Wicca as a religion, spiritual practice or philosophy ? 9th house. Seventeenth century idea of witchcraft as hidden and (usually) harmful workings ? 12th house. As a gimmick for being noticed as not part of the usual crowd ? 1st house. Quote Wed Dec 14, 2005 11:14 pm
by Sue I agree that the assigning of witchcraft and witches was seen by Lilly as a negative thing. The 12th house, after all, is a negative house and we cannot equate it with spirituallity. When I said there was no differentiation between good and bad I was not referring to spirituality or whether witchcraft is bad and Wicca is good. What I was thinking was that the 12th house is also the house of secrets and all things hidden. I would still put secret occult groups, such as Wicca, in the 12th house. According to a friend of mine who is doing her PhD on Wicca, it is not really different from many of the practices of the past that were considered to be witchcraft. There is still the secretive element of these practices. Alchemy was very much like this and I would put it in the 12th house too. Not to offend anyone... is that I just finished Real Astrology, and I am pretty sure it does :-), Frawley doesn?t seen to like the paganism very much, and in an interview in this site he himself said that sometimes his religion fights with his astrology, that?s my quote. This may be true but it still didn't cause him to place witchcraft in the 12th house. It was already there. Quote Fri Dec 16, 2005 1:43 am
by ### There is still the secretive element of these practices. 'The secretive element' is very different in spirit from things which are secret and hidden. It doesn't even sound much like the 12th. It sounds like 9th house spiritual practices which have secretive elements. Quote Fri Dec 16, 2005 2:39 am
