Wicca grew from a desire to revive witchcraft. The guy who initiated it, I think his name was Gerald Gardner, did so because he didn't want to see witchcraft disappear. I read some of his writings quite some time ago and I can't remember a lot of it but I do remember that he talked about covens, spells, and the need for secrecy. I went to a Wiccan 'ritual' once at the invitation of a friend. To me it was much more 12th house than 9th house. It made me feel very uncomfortable and I am not easily bothered by things of this nature. It is very different from a seminar on 'spiritual development', which I would place in the 9th house.

I do agree with you, however, that there are secret aspects of spirituality that still belong in the 9th house.
