I was looking forward to this event, but with Mercury retrograde I covered 1300km in car with a defect alternater the last week and ended up covering the distance with 3 car-batteries that had be rotated every 170-250 km. (That is cutting a long story short!) Now I have guests from the Polish Astrological Association of Warsaw and most of my time and attention is going to entertaining them and showing them the sights. Hi, regarding this match I have a point of view about the method to take and is color kits to the ASC and DSC but I am not sure if is right. I would like very much to hear your opinions.

There is nearly no potential for a draw if we consider the condition of the moon, except that Mercury (Moon dispositor), is Rx.

The problem arrives when taking which angle to wich team. As I see, and by default, the DSC is Uruguay and ASC Italy.

DSC - Taurus - Venus are associated with white both sign and planet.
ASC - Scorpio - Mars are might not be associated with blue kit (Italy), but sure the bule is the intense color in this match.

If ASC is Italy, then the applying trine from POF to the Moon would sugget that Italy will win. I do not know if POF applying Venus by trine could be taken in account. If the answer is yes, then I am lost.

If we consider Mars (Italy) and Venus (Uruguay) conditions what I can see is the following:

MARS:
- Detriment and accidental debility for being in the 12th, but house cusp in another sign.
- Mars dispositor (Venus) in the 8t house.

VENUS:
- Accidental debibility for being on the 8th house cusp.
- Venus dispositor is in the 8th house in Rx (Mercury) 2 degrees apart form the 9th house.
- POF applying Venus by Trine.
- Conjunction with the moon is separating on 1 degreee...but is the last aspect so (??)

If we consider Almutens essential dignities, Mars socres - 10 and Venus +3.

I tend to think that even Venus being in a better conditon than Mars, and taking in account that POF is applying the Moon, Italy will win this match.

On the other hand if we associate White - Uruguay with the Moon and Blue Italy with Jupiter (even in conjunct to MC), probably, Uruguay will win.

I do not know which way to go.

Do you have any considerations/takes on this match?

As you say, assigning significators is difficult, and even when we have done that, there are a number of possible interpretations.

The first problem is that in competitions like this there is no strong concept of Home and Away teams, and here there is no clear favourite. To make things worse, at the start of the competition, Italy was favourite to win this match, now (probably because of Italy's and Uruguay's relative performance so far) Uruguay are just favourites.

I think this makes us look very seriously at the colour associations of the kit, as Janis has championed. That would give us Jupiter for Italy (Blue) and either the Moon (white) or Venus (pale blue) depending on which kit Uruguay wear. Fortunately the Moon and Venus are both in H8, which simplifies matters.

Jupiter in partile conjunction with the MC must be a powerful testimony for Italy. Moon and Venus both in H8, and on the cusp in the case of Venus seems to tell against Uruguay.

Jupiter is disposed by the weak Moon, but we might have the significator of Italy disposed by the significator of Uruguay. In addition the PoF is applying to the Moon - Venus conjunction.

Mars is L1 and Lord of the Hour, but it is not clear which team this represents.

It seems to me that this is a mess I don't think the indications are clear and so my advice would be to avoid the match. But if forced to make a prediction I would note the above and also that the Asc is in the first degree of a sign, a position that I have noticed often causes a volatile match. It could go either way, and so I suggest a draw.

Thanks GB. Sure is a little bit tricky. I do not bet is just for fun. BTW Uruguay is 100% white kit on this match for sure. As you probably noticed, there could be different results if you assign significators to the ASC/DSC axis, or if you choose planets that have not relation with this axis. In this case If we take ASC/DSC axis Venus might be Uruguay and Mars might be Italy (explained next paragraph). On the other hand If I don't not take the axis, then Italy is Jupiter and Moon is Uruguay.

Personally I tend to think in my liittle experience, that it would be appropiate to use the ASC/DSC axis, just becasue this axis talks about "appearance" and we are talking about the kit colors. So in this case, even Italy blue kit, have not to do with Mars or Scorpio, is no doubt that is the "intense" color of the two teams. On the other hand, Uruguay is white kit that goes well with Venus and Taurus just becuase is the "soft"color.

If other members, would like to share their thoughts on this chart, it would be great.

Hmm it was a win for nigeria yesterday as i predicted when i cast a chart for the match but i came across placement which somehow occurs repeatedly.moon was L7 depositor(mars) .saturn was L1 mars was L4 venus was L10. pluto seat on the ASC axis which caused them to loose bosnia (2)another chart about a month ago venus was L1 and L10 mercury was L7 and L4 (3)when moon is the ruler of a sign use it depositor in this case moon was L7 in it own sign cancer i left the chart. Any explanation on how this placement of planetry dignities

I said I would respond to Janis's comments on predictions and techniques/analysis, which brought me on to thinking of the myriad of methods used by everyone!

I'm sure I've missed some out!

My techniques are experimental and have said what I was doing previously during the last Premier season. This World Cup is an opportunity to try out something different and see what happens.

I am content with the predictions, whilst trying different things out, particularly where there are games with similar charts producing different results over a few days.

Thanks should go to the regular contributors/moderator on these pages for encouraging clarity of prediction and encouraging discussion of techniques.

There are other Forums which seem to provide continual congratulations on predictions when comments such as 'watch for x aspect/house position' with no clarity or prediction made, or the result will be either team A or a draw. Whilst these observations appear to produce a flow of congratulations when looking at definite predictions others results are no better than mine.

I suppose I'll be my own harshest critic, even if (or when) I get 90% plus correct. Last words- please predict and say something about technique, we are all here to learn and you are doing no worse than anyone else.

With Regards to Assigning methods, my focus is based on assigning colors to the Lords of ASC/DSC. So after casting a chart, i go to see the jersey colors for both home and away. Imaging team A is playing home and gets to wear white and team B's away kit is also white then obvious team B has to wear its home jersey lets say red though its playing away.

But sometimes The color assigning does not reflect the particular planets involve and this makes it very difficult. But then also i look to see which house moon is then i see if i can make my color out of that house to suit mostly ASC.

On other occasions assigning based on odds do works. i check to see their position on their league table to see the gap between the favorite and the underdog. if its about 3 gaps then i might assumes its had to give someone a favorite and the other underdog. But then if its a big gap then im sure to assign the team on top as the favorate L1 unless L7 has crucial testimonies backing it.

All in all i sometimes do not get things right and i believe there's always things to learn and to put into considerations.

Today is USA vs Portugal for the G Group at 18h00, local time. Portugal is the favorite with the odds at bwin.com at 1.9 vs 3.6 for the USA (3.7 for a draw).

I use the system where the team that does the kick-off gets the Ascendent, and the other, the Desc.

Here is the chart: The Asc is ruled by Saturn, somewhat debilitated by being Peregrine and Rx. However, it gains some strength by being in the 11th, which is an accidental dignity.

The Desc is ruled by the Moon, which is in its Exaltation, Triplicity and Term, with a score of 8 points according to Lilly's system. It is also in the 5th which is a good house. However, it is applying for an opposition with Saturn (which is an accidental debility) and it is slow. But the opposition with Saturn can mean the match, so one should consider that..

In general, it seems that one of the teams is clearly better prepared (Moon, because of the essential dignities). However, the accidental dignities for both rulers are quite balanced, which may bring a very "balanced" game, or even a draw.

I don't know how much the difference between the accidental and essential dignities implies, so, I'm voting for the team at the Desc. So, the team that does not do the kick-off is the team that has the most probability of winning..

(If it is the favorite at the Desc, I guess one can bet almost without a doubt, since base statistics says that favorites win 55% of the games. If it is not the favorite, I don't know how much surprise it can bring, but I'll bet anyway)

I actually bet a win or draw for belgium at odd 1.25 my reason was belgium has fovourite had more chances of wining and since it was might draw, i gave belgium win or draw
