Debt question...

OK so I am still pretty much an amateur... I drew a chart for the question...

Will I get pay off all my outstanding debts this year?
Image
The equation looks like this...

I am the querant so I am ASC= Aquarius represented by Saturn which is in the 6th house of work in Leo. So I am disciplined work with pride...

Money is represented by the 2nd house... which is in Aries represented by Mars in Taurus in the 3rd house of communication... So Money is aggressive communication with stability.

Work is represented by the 6th house... which is in Cancer represented by the Moon in Gemini in the 4th house of the house... So Work is mentally agile home-related (real estate) with emotional connection.

Mars squares Saturn which tells me that I will have conflicting issues with work and communication... that concerns me. That is a definite no to my question.

The moon's last aspect is an inconjunction with pluto. Which tells me I will be in debt for a while longer.

Ok... so here's where my life is at right this minute... I am a graphic designer. I am applying for a new job that will free me up in the daytime to work on a real estate magazine targeted at a specific audience that I am a part of and has been neglected. I am funding the project myself. I have set up this type of publication before so know exactly what I need to do. If I keep it small, I can do all the moving parts from soliciting advertisers to designing the pages to distributing the finished product.

How indepth do I read this chart? My question was will I get pay off all my outstanding debts this year?

A no answer makes sense since I will probably accumulate more debt by doing this project. But I didn't expect to see so much of the actual details of my life in the chart! Dang!

So I ask you, horary students... should read further into the chart that maybe my project may not be successful or did I just make my question to limited?

Thanks,
Michele

Hi Michele,

I'd say the short answer to your question is no, you will not get to pay off your debts. In fact, I'd say that things may get worse before they get better. Your significator, Saturn, is in detriment, retrograde, and in the 6th house. You are in quite poor shape. Your money, Mars, is also in detriment. There is a separating square between you and your money, so you are losing money rather than gaining it.

I would use the 10th house, and therefore Jupiter, as signifying the business you are planning on. It is the 10th house rather than the 6th that we look to for career matters. Jupiter is in the 9th house of publishing, relevant to your work. However, there is a partile opposition between Mars, your money, and Jupiter, your project. It may end up costing you more than you imagined.

The Moon is applying to the Ascendant but has no aspect to any of the traditional planets and will not aspect any before it leaves its current sign. So, it is close to being VOC, depending on whether you accept an aspect to the Ascendant as negating VOC. Some people do, others don't.

If you are looking to other people's money to help you out of this, e.g. applying for a business loan, things don't look too good there either. Venus, the significator, is in the 12th house, retrograde, and combust the Sun.

So, I'd say your assessment is correct. It looks as though you may accumulate more debt with this project. Sometimes, you need to spend money to make money but I'd say that this is warning against getting in over your head. So caution is definitely required.

Sorry. :( Good luck with it though. Having published magazines before, I certainly know what hard work it can be for little reward other than the satisfaction of a job well done.
