I wish I had known about this search engine earlier. Afraid I did it the hard way by visually scanning hundreds of charts to find relevant hits! Its looks an extremely useful tool for this kind of research which I will examine further. Thank you. I will try your suggested link. Thanks again! 28 by Wolfie Hi, my ASC. is 4 cancer and my moon is 1 cancer. so, my moon would both be in the 12th and in the 1st? In trying to delineate my chart (medieval astrology) I believe my eating disorder would be shown by the moon (appetites) in the 12th (house of self undoing) - does that sound reasonable? 29 by james_m hi wolfie, a good chunk of astrological ambiguity can be laid at the doorstep of 'house systems'.. one can learn and guesstimate how different astrologers from different eras might have interpreted them and go from their.. it's a complicated mess basically.. however the 3 degree to an angle rule is embedded in ptolemy literature and he seems to have had a dominant influence down thru most of the ages... personally i would treat your moon as on the ascendant angle and 1st house in nature.. 1st house also pertains directly to ones health and moon is always going to pertain to one's health no matter what, but especially so when it is in cancer on the ascendant as i see it... any aspects to the moon will colour it accordingly and all the prognostic tools an astrologer uses will colour it further.. good luck getting a better understanding of astrology which will ultimately hinge on a number of factors - especially knowing your own chart and what it means to you.. 30 by fleur My tentative theory is that planets in the Gauquelin zones, behind the chart angles, even many degrees behind, show career in the deepest sense of vocation or calling, it is what we are drawn to. And planets on the angles and especially a few degrees past the angles, in the first, seventh, tenth and fourth houses, is how we appear, both in the sense of physical appearance and what we seem to be doing. I have also looked at these points using antiscia, and I think they work in this context too. Quote Sun Mar 20, 2016 11:29 pm
