Interesting question. According to wiki (not always the best source of information), London was founded by the Romans in AD43, but a large wooded structure found there dates to back to 4500BC.

The best bet is to refer to Campion's Russia horoscope theory - your guess will be as good as anyone else's!

Maybe so but astrologically I think it is the founding of the Roman town of Londium that counts.

Despite intensive excavations, archaeologists have found no evidence of a prehistoric major settlement in the area. There have been scattered prehistoric finds, evidence of farming, burial and traces of habitation, but nothing more substantial. It is now considered unlikely that a pre-Roman city existed, but as some of the Roman city remains unexcavated, it is still just possible that some settlement may yet be discovered.

Sadly, we have no record of any astrologers on the job at the time. We dont even know the season , let alone the date or time the town was founded.

But the idea of a strong Gemini influence in the chart of London has long persisted.

Interestingly, there was a total solar eclipse in Gemini in 46BCE.

That is an interesting thread. I didn't know that Lilly himself used 17 degrees Gemini 54 minutes as the Ascendant for London.

Which could give 13 degrees Aquarius as a Midheaven.
