13 by Ouranos What surprises me is that the tensions with Jupiter and my 9th house ruler (which is the Sun) dominate the picture. I had expected the aspects to be favorable instead of unfavorable. Hello Bymidten, What does 'tensions between Jupiter and my 9th House ruler' mean? Can you elaborate on your statistics? For winning a major prize, the natal and progressed chart have to be aligned. A natal lucky placement will be activated by Solar Arc. I have found the axis 2nd/8th House cusp (Topocentric) to be relevant in this matter. Say for example from your quote, Jupiter is transiting on your 8th or 2nd House cusp and the Sun is making a conjunction, sextile or trine to it, this would be very auspicious. And do you have a natal planet in aspect to this axis, 2nd/8th. And the 10th House has to be involved since lottery winners have to appear in the medias. Alongside, you can draw a listing of your natal chart degrees with - sums (planet A + planet B) - halfsums (planet A / planet B) - differences (planet A - planet B) - sensitive points (planet A + planet B - planet C) Blessings! Tensions 14 by Bymidten Hi Ouranos Tensions are afflicting aspects, which in my book are: - Opposition - Square - Semisquare and sesquisquare - both are expressions of the 8th harmonic - Semisextile and quinqunx - both are expressions of the 12th harmonic The opposite of tensions are so-called favorable aspects: - Trine - Sextile - the series of noviles: 40, 80 and 160 degrees - part of the 9th harmonic I am inspired by John Addey's book "Harmonics in astrology", when it comes to aspects. Each aspect represents a fraction, e.g. an opposition is 1/2, a trine is 1/3, etc. I am not using Solar Arc, only transits and progressions (primary and secondary directions), as I have described here: https://www.skyscript.co.uk/forums/view ... 785#124785 A lot of astrologers have theories about winning. I look for observations, statistics and experiments to either prove or disprove each theory. Because that's the only way to integrate astrology with established science. More details: For each date I made a win in the lottery, I have noted down all the aspects, which came within 20' of orbis. Each aspect is assigned points according to its weight. Finally I make a statistic with the results. An aspect with Jupiter could be transit Jupiter square natal Moon. An aspect with the Sun could be secondary Sun semisextile secondary Saturn. Whenever Jupiter is involved in an aspect, it counts in the Jupiter result. Whenever the Sun is invovled in an aspect, it counts in the Sun result. Then I create a control group with random dates and make similar aspect counts for the random dates. Finally I compare the results from the two groups. That's when I noticed how the afflictions with Jupiter and the Sun were prominent in the charts for the purchases of winning lottery coupons compared to the charts from the control group. These results are odd, because they do not agree at all with any astrological theories on the matter of lottery wins or speculation. Quote Tue May 30, 2023 12:16 pm
15 by Ouranos 'Tension aspects' are 'manifestation aspects'. They make things happen. And they will show up differently for everybody. In this regard, the nature of the planets is more important than the nature of the aspects. Say for example, you have Sun squares Jupiter (luck) and the midpoint falls on your Mercury (good news, success through speaking, travel, writing or trade) or Saturn (lost happiness) or Uranus (sudden luck). It all depends on each chart. Thank you for sharing. Blessings! Quote Tue May 30, 2023 1:17 pm
