Re: Timing Solar returns 13 by Greg Young Interesting thread, I would just add to take note of the cusps (esp. Placidus) and any planet on the cusps as they possess added importance to the house it is moving into. Quote Mon Jun 24, 2024 1:00 pm
Re: Timing Solar returns 14 by Lyn No matter which additional charts you use to understand the person's life and past and future....FIRST you need to see a natal chart and also to be able to read it effectively and accurately. But when reading the Solar Return chart, it's important that the SR chart be looked at alone....and not with the it's planetary positions inserted around the outer circle of the natal chart. In the initial reading for the client, you should get to know that person so that additional information makes sense and fit's IN with the way the person is living their life. Also: the best way to find the accurate SR is to use a service like Astro.com....which generates all types of charts extremely accurately. LYN The universe doesn't care if it inconveniences you. Re: Timing Solar returns 15 by Zosma I am confused ? Reading over & over The new Solar Return by Merriman Page 14 where he used an interesting technique to illustrate how his partners meeting was predicted via his Solar return chart. He counted the days to his chance meeting which resulted in his marriage partner & then converted the number of days into the equivalent number of degrees & used this number to forward his MC by the equivalent degrees Then looked to see where his Ascendant fell as a result, & this activated exactly his Solar returns Jupiter in the 7th house. I am trying to work out is this the same as using mean quotient progression,it seems not as this would progress at a different rate & doesnt give the same results Or am I missing something?I had always assumed they were the same, . Returning to my solar return chart for this year I notice that the chart is a locamotive shape with Pluto leading ruling the eighth house with Venus & Mars & Saturn. In this year Saturn is Profected ruler so I give him more weight he is on the MC but burnt by the Sun & in the difficult 8th degree. So in my natal Saturn rules 4th & 6th house, Indeed on the 3 April our pet cat of some 20 years passed he had been unwell for sometime Saturn in the Suns rays. On the 14th April my father passed after a long life of 99 years & 3 months Saturn in Pisces died in his sleep. This all occured around the solar eclipse on the 9th April in my eighth house. I knew looking at this chart that my father would soon pass as the Asc & moon fell in natal 11th ....8th from 4th.... & quite soon after my late Feb birthdate. So Pluto leads the return chart in the SR 8th now we are selling his estate & dealing with inheritances, So if I use Merrimans technique death of Father 55 days after birthdate adding this to MC by adding 55 degrees to SR MC the Ascendant is almost exactly opposite Pluto.but progressing the chart does not give any meaningfull connection.
