While the 1801 chart is the most popular chart used by UK astrologers I have also been an advocate of the 1927 chart for the UK for many years.

The late Irish astrologer Maurice McCann argued with some justification that the modern United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland has a chart dating from 1927 not 1922 or 1801.

I am quoting Maurice McCann here:
When did the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland legally come into being? It has generally been accepted that the time and date of the legal establishment of the Irish Free State on December 6, 1922
automatically created the new United Kingdom State as well. However, what came into being on December 6 was an all-Ireland state and it was not for another 24 hours that the Unionist representatives in Belfast petitioned King George V to allow the Six Counties to 'withdraw from the Free State', in accordance with a provision of the Anglo-Irish Treaty of 1921. So is c. 3.30 pm, December 7, 1922, when it is thought George V agreed to that petition, the birth of the new United Kingdom chart?

The answer is more surprising. Because Ireland, both Free State and the Six Counties were both regarded as Crown dominions, no legal changes as to style and title of the United Kingdom State were made until 1927.

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland was not born until an Act 17 and 18 Geo 5 c 4, known as the Royal and Parliamentary Titles Act, 1927, which changed the name of the state from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The new style and title came into effect at midnight on April 12, 1927. (See Vol 10, Constitutional Law (Pr2), p.70.)
While the 1801 chart still seems to resonate with UK events it arguably reflects a very different United Kingdom which still incorporated all of Ireland. Most people in Britain in 1801 had no right to vote (including all women). Women at this time also had no right to enter professions and had no property rights. Britain at this time was also in a very expansionist phase both economically and in terms of its Imperial power.

But as the old saying goes the proof of the pudding is in the eating. So lets compare the UK 1927 chart with the funeral chart for Queen Elizabeth.

Tr MC is also conjunct the 1927 Moon. Highlighting the emotional power of this moment for the British people and many millions across the world.

Tr Jupiter Rx (The ASc ruler of the 1927 chart) is smack on the IC which seems a very graphic symbolism for the national focus on this funeral.

Tr Mercury Rx on the UK 1927 MC. Mercury is Lord 10 by WSH and Lord 7 in the 1927 chart.

Tr Neptune on the UK 1927 Mercury. Highlighting a sense of loss but also a dissolution of an old identity personified in the late Queen.

This week as we commemorate the funeral of Queen Elizabeth, the Fixed Star Deneb Aquilae, Tail of the Eagle is the brightest star a couple fists to Vega's northeast (for skywatchers at mid-northern latitudes).
It is a Mars-Jupiter star indicating authority, a more assured feel for the job, and a better reputation thus gained in whatever office one holds. (Astrology King). This is the star rising in her chart.

Coupled with Jupiter at 49 to 50 arcseconds wide across its equator, nearly its maximum possible, as it nears its September 26th opposition. Jupiter this year is close to the perihelion of its 12-year orbit around the Sun. Jupiter isn’t always exactly closest to Earth on the day of its opposition. The juxtaposition of Jupiter’s opposition in late 2022, and perihelion in early 2023, brings the planet closer to Earth than it has been for 70 years. On the night before, Sept. 25, Jupiter makes its closest approach to Earth since October 1951, at a distance of 367 million miles. Not until October 2129 will Jupiter come closer! So, Jupiter is very bright in our sky!

The 'visibility' of the planets was an important factor for the Ancients.

Astrologically speaking, Jupiter is associated with 'official ceremonies'.
I find it interesting that the celebration for the Queen is happening with a near, very bright and visible Jupiter.... and the last time it happened with such magnitude was some 70 years ago when she was crowned.

Parans are used for the start of the day however there are no rules against looking at actual time, being the oldest astrology in the world.

The four angles are used with this, at the start of the day, however in the modern world there are three day starts being Egyptian Sunrise, Greek sunset, and modern midnight.

The name Saxe Coburg was changed to Windsor in London on 17th July 1917, When at sunrise day marker The Belt of Orion was rising.

I see Acts of Union has been mentioned, Royal Assent was given on 2 July 1800, using midnight day marker in London, Sirius is on the Nadir, please look to the right hand page of link at foot of thread section.

This came into force at midnight between 31st December 1800 and 1st January 1801, when Sirius was culminating in London.

I was watching live on the bbc when the plane arrived at RAF Northolt carrying the Queen's coffin on 13th September, it arrived at approx. 7pm.
My thought's on this was when the coffin bearers touched English ground in England was 7:05pm, quote below and link:-

It landed at RAF Northolt, in North West London, shortly before 7pm.
I have used Uxbridge as a point that is very near as shown below:-

I'm a friend of the world regarding beliefs, as long as the are not used in war and assassinations.

However King Charles III as defender of the faith of Church of England seems to be following Hermetic beliefs instead with electional astrology:-

Indeed, I did a lot of research on that chart many years ago. However, that is too much of a distraction in a thread exclusively devoted to the late Queen Elizabeth. I will open a separate thread soon on the numerous charts that can be used as significant for the British royal family in general.
