As Biden is visiting my state of California today (19 June), it seems like a good time to post chart examples on his life. I’ll give examples of how I work in practice. This is not theory. First we need to have an overview of a time period. Astrologers have different ways of looking at a longer time period. I use the solar return as the ‘forest’ and how this chart relates to the natal chart. I also look at the Dasa and sub period forest. As most astrologers discover, we learn something new with every chart we study. It is always practice and discovery.

My first example is hindsight because I didn’t make a prediction for the last U.S. presidential election which Biden won. The forest is Biden’s 2019 solar return. This is tricky because Biden’s solar return is for the entire year, and the election date in early November is during the final few weeks of the year.



The emphasis in this solar return is certainly on the 10th house of public career because the natal 10th sign and MC are on the ascendant. Transiting natal 9th house lord Moon conjoins this MC. Of course this year emphasizes 10th house affairs because it’s a campaign year. Two benefics are on the nadir/IC: Venus and Jupiter. There is nothing specifically in this chart that points to defeat, but I don’t think the chart screams victory either.

For a clear answer it’s necessary to go to a tree in the forest, Biden’s last ennead of the year (October 11, 2020) which covers the election date. We also know that Biden was running Jupiter dasa and Rahu sub period at the time of the election. In Biden’s natal chart Jupiter, the planet of political success is powerful in the 9th house and vargottama, also in Cancer in the navamsa chart. Rahu is in Biden’s 10th house.



Although the ennead Sun is in the first house (cusps as centers of houses) it’s far from the ascendant. What cinches the victory is:

(1) Transiting Jupiter trine natal MC

(2) Transiting natal 9th lord Moon at the NG/MC closely trine Biden’s Asc/Venus/Sun on ennead cusp 2

(3) Moon at the MC/NG conjoins natal Pluto in the natal 9th house.

Three planets at the nadir are transiting the Sun’s star, lord of Biden’s 10th house. According to KP, these transits activate Biden’s natal Sun.

Natal Jupiter, planet of political success, is at the NG (zenith).

Both natal and ennead Moons are on angles. These Moon positions are primary clues to victory, especially since ennead Moon is conjunct natal Pluto in Biden’s 9th house. (The 9th was the house of kings in Hellenistic astrology.)

Back in 2020 I questioned this chart due to the ascendant being Biden’s 12th house sign, and Saturn at the nadir. But using KP these positions emphasize Rahu’s star (ennead ascendant, Rahu star in Biden’s 10th house), and the Sun (Saturn’s star), Biden’s 10th house lord on his natal ascendant.

At any rate, natal 9th lord Moon is partile conjunct an ennead angle, 7th.

My second example involves the present. Biden plans to run for a second term as president. This dismays many US citizens since they feel Biden is too old to serve a second four year term. This is why I was following Linchi’s resignation prediction so closely. So will Biden be around for a second campaign? We can first look at his current solar return (20 November 2022), the present ‘forest’.



Gemini rises in Jupiter’s star. SR Sun is partile trine Jupiter at the SR MC in its own sign of Pisces. Natal Jupiter is in the first solar house. These are very strong positions. Ascendant lord Mercury is weakly in the 6th SR house. Biden may be dealing with health problems the public is unaware of. Or this Mercury may simply be out of the picture as it is far from the angles.

Remaining with the angles, SR Moon is at the nadir in a Mars star, Jupiter sub. Mars is Biden’s ascendant and 6th house lord. Natal Jupiter is in an excellent position (9th house exalted in Cancer vargottama). As the KP sub is supposed to indicate good or bad effects, this lunar position taken by itself is positive.

Two question marks come from the trine aspects of 12th house Mars and 8th house Saturn to this angular Moon. These may be mute notes as SR Moon doesn’t closely aspect planets in the natal chart.

Overall a resignation isn’t strongly suggested during this solar year, and indeed Biden declared his intention to run again in April. At this time I haven’t looked at the remaining ennead ‘trees’ for Biden’s current solar year.

My next post will look at the ‘forest’ of Biden’s solar return in November of 2023, and one or more ennead trees for that solar year.

Here it is important that we can make forecasts as accurate as possible to the day even to the hour.

Linchi, my posts are not all about you and your methods. I'm explaining how I would go about attempting to judge timing and events in Biden's life, the president of my country.

My point is that if a solar return appears to reflect a good and smooth year for a person, then why look for precise timing for a negative or life-changing event that isn't likely to occur at all within that particular time period? Wouldn't looking for such an event simply be a waste of time and effort?

I'm splitting this post into two to make reading easier.

Part 1
Because Biden’s 2023 solar return is so drastically different from the last few years I decided that I should look at his remaining enneads (40 days each) for this solar year. There are three of them to come plus the current ennead which began June 9. This exercise is testing the ennead (annual 9th harmonic) chart. I’m thinking that Dr. Charak’s suggestion to study several solar returns at the same time especially applies to the nine enneads throughout the solar year.

9 June 2023 Ennead: If planets on the angles are considered to be the most important, this is a quiet chart with nothing unusual happening.



Natal Saturn is on the 9th cusp which suggests travel, and has already been in the news.Transiting Saturn is a few degrees from the 6th cusp in Rahu’s star along with the Moon which according to KP simply points to natal Rahu in the 10th house as being active. Ennead Mars on cusp 11 in Saturn’s star points back to Saturn.

21 July 2023 Ennead: A strong chart. Ennead Sun at the MC conjunct natal 9th house Jupiter.



Transiting Rahu in the 7th conjoins natal 9th lord Moon. The 7th is said to relate to foreign affairs in mundane astrology which may also apply to heads of state. Ennead Mercury on cusp 11 in its own star suggets routine Mercurial communication and activity..

1 September 2023 Ennead: Here we are seeing an interesting change.



High visibility for Biden because Jupiter is at the MC and near the zenith. But Uranus is only a degree from the NG/Zenith.

Natal Mercury is the key to this chart because transiting retrograde Uranus is in partile opposition to this natal position. Uranus is in Mars-ruled Aries in the Sun’s star and Mars sub. Mars sub (in KP said to determine good or bad effects) is ascendant and 6th house lord located in the natal 12th house. Natal Mars is on the IC in house 4, and the natal Ascendant cluster of planets is in the Ennead 4th house.

This Uranus transit then might activate health problems for Biden as Mercury is in the natal first house (the body in general) and is natal 8th house lord. There is no doubt that the angular Uranus opposition to natal Mercury dominates 40 day period of time. KP theory adds Mars emphasis.

Returning to Biden’s 2022 solar return we see that Uranus on cusp 11 is opposing natal Mercury, the same configuration that is now on ennead angles. Also the ennead ascendant lord Mercury is weakly in the 6th house with Venus.

Are the ennead angles clues as to when non-angular cuspal planets in the solar return chart begin to manifest? Is this one way of ‘progressing’ the annual chart? Then the 40 day ennead charts can be further broken down into 10 day segments or ‘decans.’ I have never worked beyond this decan division of the annual chart looking for exact event dates.

Part 2: Biden's Enneads and 2023 Solar Return

12 October 2023: This is the final ennead of the year, and repeats the pattern of the previous ennead.



Retrograde Uranus at the MC/zenith continues the partile opposition to natal Mercury at the IC/nadir. Transiting Jupiter is at the MC, but with a 7 degree orb. The natal cluster of ascendant planets ramains in the ennead 4th house with the Sun-Venus on the nadir.

In this ennead transiting Saturn has now come to the partile conjunction (7 minute orb) to natal Ketu (mean node) on ennead cusp 7. (And at this time Biden is running Saturn’s dasa and sub which began in September of 2022.) Both Saturn and natal Ketu are in the star and sub of Rahu. KP theory says that this conjunction will affect public affairs and visibility since natal Rahu is in the 10th house. Natal Rahu is also on the ennead ascendant, and transiting Rahu is also trine the ennead ascendant. Affairs of Rahu are MAJOR in this ennead.

We would expect 4th house matters to be emphasized since natal 4th house Ketu is angular in the ennead, transiting Rahu is in Ketu’s star, and the natal ascendant cluster of planets is in the ennead 4th house. Ennead ascendant lord Sun is only two degrees from the nadir. So we are seeing the natal angular Sun/nodal configuration prominent this month, activated by transiting Saturn.

I always wanted to make as study of solar and ennead charts of death, but never found the time. If Linchi or anyone else wants to look for a time of death, this is the 40 day time period I would suggest. According to Indian astrology, Biden’s lords of two maraka (death inflicting) houses, the 2nd and 7th, are angular. Transiting Venus, 7th lord, is on the ascendant while Jupiter, natal 2nd lord, is elevated near the MC. Transiting Saturn is only a few minutes from natal Ketu in 4th,

2023 Solar Return:
And finally Biden’s approaching sidereal solar return, 21 November, 2:55:49 a.m. in his birthplace of Scranton, PA. After seeing this chart, I went back to the final ennead of the 2022 solar return to access its seriousness, and added notes.

I also reviewed his 2022 solar return:



I focused especially on the 8th house Saturn and 12th house Mars trines to the Moon at the nadir. Yes, that configuration could in theory end a life, but it would be necessary to use predictive techniques to isolate the date.

Here is some work for astrologers who use the various methods of prediction. I have only looked at the final October 2023 ennead, and I’m not noted for correct predictions!

Solar Return, November 2023:



This 2023 solar return is not the chart of a head of state. Double Neptunes cross the asc/desc axis. Fagan school astrologers will tell us that an angular Neptune represents political defeat or invisibility in return charts. There are no other angular planets in this solar return. The natal ascendant complex is in the 3rd house ‘falling’ toward the 4th house at the nadir.

SR ascendant lord Mercury is in the 4th house of endings (cusps as centers of houses). Transiting angular retrograde Neptune is less than a degree into Pisces, a critical position.

Saturn partile conjunct (mean) natal Ketu in 4th has retreated from the 7th angle in the previous ennead to the 6th house in this solar return. It is no longer a central focus. I believe this solar return suggests that Biden is no longer with us, but I haven’t studied family charts in depth or taken any additional time with this question.

One added note about the importance of navamsa crossovers to the natal chart: I don’t remember if I have posted this before, but Biden’s natal 10th lord navamsa Sun at 11°24 Leo crosses to his NG/Zenith at 10°14 Leo. Biden has reached the highest possible political position in the world.

With the exception of Uranian astrology and Microastrology, no astrological school is able to determine with 100% certainty whether a positive or negative event will occur in a solar return.


" appears to reflect" is quite different from " will happen" or "will not happen"

I love it when astrologers make statements like " Planet X or Solar return suggests ..."
So that they have an excuse later when suggested does not happen.

In astrology, an event will either happen or not. The statements like "it could" or "it seems" or "it suggests" shows the unknowledge of the astrologers.
