Could it be that you confuse translation of light with a simple application?

The Moon, cosignifcator of the querent, perfects her applying conjunction
with Mercury by her genuine own virtue. That's it. She doesn't need any
other planet's virtue to do so, because she does not act as a translator of
another planet's light. In fact she acts on her own.

Similarly in Lilly's example in pp. 401, 402: a cursu vacuo ad statum perfectum.

I understand your point.

Mine is that Moon has two functions in this chart. As a significator of how things are going on she is VOC at time of question according to William Lilly. That‘s a bad sign and a testimony for nothing will happen as I wrote in my first posting of this thread.

As Deborah Houlding writes:
For the Moon to be legitimately described ’void of course’ according to the principle expressed in Lilly’s work, one of the following conditions must be present.

[…]

3. The Moon is within orb of its next aspect but it has already fully separated from its last aspectual contact.

First of all, a thank you for all who answered.

Second, I'll try to answer some of your questions:
Currently the situation is as I described it. That is, they are in the final stages of negotiations and the querent should reach a decision soon.
Things took very long as the management of the organization which leases the place changed recently.

J. Susato: Big thanks for your insights which seemed extra valuable.

About the moon being void, as the querent rented the place for the last 10 years or so, I assumed that voidness would show no change from default. Thus, that the contract would be resigned, even if the rent would be a bit higher. The default option, that is.
The aspect between Merc and Jup btw, has Jup in the dominant position which should be good for the querent.

And yes, I would say that moon being void is contested here for the reasons mentioned by the anti-void moon forum members.

As it was mentioned, the fact that mercury exalts L1 and in the domicile of the Moon makes the current difficulties with re-signing quite surprising.

Georgius: I'm actually visiting Austria (Vienna) on holiday from tomorrow till Saturday.
Are there any good astrological stores or museums with interesting astrology-related exhibitions in Vienna?
Thanks!

Hello

I studied horary astrology following William Lilly system, therefore Moon is not void of course in this chart. Additionally, on charts when the price of the lease should be considered (like in this case) we take into account ruler of MC, as the price. In this chart that would be JUPITER which also is L1.

Also we take into account the synodic cycle of JUPITER to check if the price is going up or down, and JUPITER is at the begginning of its synodic cycle, the sun is cancer (sign of exaltation of jupiter this could also be an indicator)

The MOON is going into an opposition with JUPITER (L1 opposition to L10 the price) This shows that the price is not going to be suitable to querents expectactions. Nevertheless, MERCURY L4 is also placed in JUPITER 's exaltation L1, so the querent is really interested in the property.
Mercury is applying to JUPITER and JUPITER receives MERCURY eventhough its a square aspect.

CONCLUSION: Despite the obstacles regarding the increase on the price, I think that the querent will take the lease, maybe they will come a negotitation.
I haven' t read any of the previous analysis, so I dont know if there is an outome already.
Should be taken into account that the price may still be increasing in the future, considering the current position between JUPITER and SUN
