a chart for closing time of the election at 4pm - for taipei - the capital has neptune on the midheaven and mars on the descendant - not a great combo of planets to be sitting on angles..also moon is at the approx midpoint of pluto-saturn too, another interesting set up.. i'd compare it to any national chart for taiwan, but it appears nic campions 2004 edition of world horoscopes has no entry for a chart for taiwan... do you have one??

thanks for taking the time to try to help me understand what you appear to know much more about - the idea of taiwan as a separate country, as opposed to a province of china and what you base some of this on.. i don't know the history and without that, i am basically looking in the dark... if one had a national astrology chart for taiwan, along with actual birth times for the candidates, they could perhaps make some headway... having the opening and closing time of the election polls is very helpful, but again - without actual birth charts for the candidates - one is fishing in the dark...

as for the fellow who has a lot of similarities astrologically with the election day transits - it is hard to know what they might imply without an actual chart for him as well.. obviously he is a successful business man and in a powerful financial position which generally favours those seeking political power in the west.. i am sure it is something similar in taiwan too, but again - i don't know how things work in taiwan or china...

i hear stories from my friends who live their - one a canuck who has been teaching for the past 13 -14 years, and the other a person born and raised in taiwan.. they are both smart and gave me the impression they recognize how what we hear about in the western press is not a good reflection of how taiwanese are processing what is happening in taiwan....

regarding the picture of the 4 men shaking hands together it gives a time of 1- 2am which is obviously not the time the picture was taken in the location it was taken as it is daylight... so even getting an actual time for that picture is a huge game of guesswork.. it would be helpful to know the location and actual local time of it though, as perhaps some astrological conclusions could be drawn off of it..

In Chinese tradition, there used to be a practice of recording birthdays based on either the solar or lunar calendar. However, birth certificates are now commonly used, though they cannot be freely accessed. In Taiwan, obtaining a birth certificate requires personal authorization to visit the household registration office for inquiry.

Some of my additional thoughts are as follows:

In 2016, I successfully predicted Trump's election as the President of the United States, but truth be told, I was just a blind cat stumbling upon a dead mouse! (I happened to make a fortunate prediction).

At that time, I had no understanding of the U.S. electoral system and was completely unaware of the electoral college voting system.

I had thoughts and plans to organize the electoral systems and rules of each country and region, but currently, I don't have the time.

I believe it's crucial to first understand the real-world rules of the game (common sense), then align it with astrological insights, and finally, add a touch of personal intuition (or collective unconsciousness). This way, we might have a better chance of foreseeing future developments.

Regarding the differences in Eastern and Western cultures and perspectives, I feel that I have some understanding.

Perhaps my observations are quite one-sided and superficial (possibly based on stereotypes), but perhaps things are just that evident.

From the Eastern perspective, Westerners are seen as tall and imposing, liking fair and open competition, enjoying discussing matters openly, and engaging in debates. Easterners may have a certain "fear" of Westerners, leaving behind the stereotype of Westerners being proud and arrogant.

From the Western perspective, Easterners are perceived as unpredictable, hard to understand, often not clear about their thoughts. It is not entirely unjustified for Westerners to have such thoughts, as the Eastern approach to life and rules is to "conceal oneself," preferring to handle things behind the scenes. This might be because Easterners are "physically smaller," and survival and victory in battles require the use of hiding and surprise attacks. There is a humorous saying here that Easterners are like small hobbits in the eyes of Westerners.

In the natural world, the first impression is often about evaluating each other's physical stature.

Returning to our topic, political elections.

In Europe, it is possible to form a coalition government involving two or more different parties, as exemplified by the cooperation among the Social Democratic Party, the Green Party, and the Free Democratic Party in Germany (2021). However, in Taiwan (with an Eastern culture, especially since the Kuomintang is a traditionally Eastern cultural party), forming a coalition government is not easy. This is because of differences in culture and habits of dealing with affairs. People are not as open and transparent, not as willing to clearly state their responsibilities and interests on the table, and explain them straightforwardly.

In the 2000 Republic of China presidential election, the first-ever party alternation occurred, and Chen Shui-bian of the Democratic Progressive Party was elected president. However, his party, the DPP, did not secure a majority in the Legislative Yuan. Instead, the opposition Kuomintang (KMT) and the newly established People First Party controlled the legislature, resulting in a situation known as "small in power, big in opposition." In the early days of Chen Shui-bian's presidency, in an effort to address this situation, he appointed Tang Fei, a member of the KMT, to form a cabinet (Tang Fei Cabinet), aiming to establish a grand coalition government. However, the KMT declined the invitation. Following the issue of the Fourth Nuclear Power Plant, the Tang Fei Cabinet resigned en masse, and the idea of forming a grand coalition government collapsed. Subsequently, Chen Shui-bian formed a "minority government" for the remainder of his term.

i think when it comes to understanding the eastern, verses the western perspective - these ways of dividing don't go very far.. in fact, people are people no matter where they reside... yes, there are cultural differences, but with regard to power - political power for example, there is a huge amount of manipulation and playing on peoples perception thru the use of propaganda and etc. etc.. one would have to be exceedingly bright to navigate all the pitfalls in trying to understand any of it... i guess what i am trying to say is i think your viewpoint on westerners is very subjective and also full of western type stereotypes that are flat out wrong! i thought i would say this to you ( as a ''westerner'') to try to steer you back to staying focused on the astrology.. that is hard enough to as it is, without trying to generalize the psychological differences between east or western cultures! with the best of intentions - please continue! cheers james

Mars is at 29 degrees in Scorpio, and the Moon is in Aries opposing Venus in Libra (Node axis Aries-Libra). There is a square aspect between the Sun in Sagittarius (the joint government and public) and Saturn in Pisces (cowardice and hindrance).
