Not every word that is not the truth is a lie.
But even the story that is told,
could be a lie without saying a lie.

Between 1996 and 2012 I lived in Frankfurt. There are small shops called water houses. Kiosk for the street sale of tobacco products, newspapers, sweets and odds and ends. Sometimes people working after work or pensioners stand there drinking a bottle or two of beer and chatting with each other.

One of these shops, run by a German for many years, had a surprising change of ownership one day.

The new owner had recognizable Arab roots. Until now, Arabs had not been active in this business segment. It was June or July 2001.

I only reflected on all these things in retrospect of the events.

I do not know if you are familiar with the phenomenon of you posthumously noticing how much of what you perceive unconsciously is retrieving in your inner memory, even though you are not really reflecting on it at the time of the event.

In 2011, two US soldiers were killed by a man from Kosovo at Terminal 2 of Frankfurt Airport. They had just returned from a military mission in the Orient.

When the attack was being investigated by the media at the time, a colleague who worked with me in the office at the time and lived near me approached me and asked me if I had ever noticed the house near us, where the perpetrator had always gone to pray. He was a muslim.

The house was about 500 meters away from us and I suddenly realized that I had unconsciously noticed it before during walks. Because there had originally been a newspaper shop there and one day the house seemed to be used only privately. At the entrance to the house there were a few steps and suddenly there were always several pairs of shoes.

I had apparently somehow noticed the situation with the shoes on the steps and found it strange, but I hadn't consciously reflected on it. It was only after my colleague's story in connection with the assassination attempt at Terminal 2 that I understood the meaning of these shoes that Muslims take off before entering their house of prayer.

Back to my actual story. The water house got a new owner in June/July 2001, strangely enough an Arab one, and in September there were the attacks in New York.

In the neighborhood where I lived, there were also many Americans, consulate staff, employees of the US airbase, etc. Three days after 9/11, a building of the American kindergarten burned down in my street. There was no media coverage of this fire, although it would have been something for TV news, so soon after 9/11. Wasn't the media allowed to report this. You didn't have to be an expert to see that it almost certainly had to be arson while watching the fire. I was at home at the time, it was Friday, and watched the building burn down.

About four to six weeks after the attacks in New York, the Arab owner of the small shop was suddenly gone again. It got a new owner. In addition, an old van was parked opposite the burned down kindergarten building for weeks without the police being interested, which was unusual, because it was nor allowed to stand there. The van looked a little strange and outdated and had curtains on the windows so you couldn't see inside.

When I saw the main attacker of the Twin Towers in the media after the attacks, Mohamed Atta, I immediately thought: I know him, I've seen him before.

What is truth?

Good morning everyone, I want to address the question again.
From the very beginning, I actually saw this not from the perspective of those
who are discussing an issue or an event that is brought to our attention
second or third hand, but from the perspective of someone who knows the matter first hand,
so to speak, and is now astonished, why the published versions do not correspond to the facts.

Because whether you can get closer to the truth by looking at so-called alternative sources seems rather absurd to me.
In Germany, the news usually always come from the same sources. Here we have the dpa, the German press agency.
It is of course fair to ask where they get the information from.

The question about alternative sources or facts is often nothing more than a question about different points of view,
of an ideological nature. If you ask Fox news, you will get a situation presented differently
than if you ask the German taz (the most famous German daily newspaper with a politically green outlook).

One example of how tricky this question about truth is: There was a scandal
in a neighboring community in the 1990s. Suddenly, employees of large media companies were
in the village almost every day and attacked the citizens with questions about the event.

This was the main topic in all German media for weeks.
According to all media, the village was a Sodom and Gomorrah, as we say metaphorically here in German.
A place of sin. It was said in the media that many citizens of this village are perpetrators
of child sexual abuse and that everyone hides the crime of the others.
In Germany, people say that such a media scenario is like chasing a pig through the village.
I don't know if you understand this metaphor. The media emotionalizes an issue so much
that it is no longer about the truth.
It's then just a matter of leading the person you've chosen to be the witch to the pyre.

When the matter was no longer so interesting for the media because all emotional cards had long been played,
a trial finally began against numerous perpetrators chosen by the media.
The court verdict came about 2 years later: only one woman was convicted,
who sent her 17-year-old daughter into prostitution to supplement her cash-strapped household budget.
The question that arises not only here... Is astrology able to recognize the true facts right from the start
or does it tend to interpret the made-up story as truth. Is astrology accurate enough to distinguish truth from lies?

A fitting anecdote to end my text: At the beginning of my astrological studies, in 1988,
I once visited a fortune teller. A fellow student told me about her. She and her friend had visited
the fortune teller out of playfulness and curiosity and were surprised at how much truth she said.

Since I was primarily interested in astrology and she also acted as an astrologer, I told her this and gave her
my data for the horoscope. We agreed to meet two weeks later, where she would give me her interpretation.

A few days later she called me and said she couldn't carry out my order and didn't want any money for her previous efforts.
When I asked why, she said that what she saw as a clairvoyant when she first contacted me
did not match what she saw in my horoscope.

I later learned that the time of birth that my father gave me and that I told the clairvoyant
was two hours earlier than the actual one.

There is no structural difference between reputable and dubious sources. There is a difference between private and public, between Diogenes and the rest of the world, so to speak. I even go one step further. There is not even a structural difference in the truth of the report between democracy and autocracy.

very interesting stories... i liked the one of your visit to the lady in 1988 followed by the realization that your father had mistakenly given you a wrong time to submit to the women.. that was interesting... your post reminds me of something of an article i read a number of years ago.. https://swprs.org/the-propaganda-multiplier/

maybe you'll get something from this article... i also liked the analogy you used of 'chasing a pig thru the village'... i understood that quite well.. thanks..

Last autumn I spent six weeks in rehab, where one evening I had a conversation with a doctor from Iraq. I led the conversation on the subject of the US war against Saddam Hussein 20 years ago. I told her that here in the West the thesis was that the war began in March 2003, 20 with US air strikes on her country and ended on 2003, May 1 with the victory of the US and its allies.

I told her that I would argue that the war had ended months ago before March 2003, what she had to say about it. She said it was right what I was saying, why I knew that, she asked. I said that I had my office with a view to an important US airbase and that you there always know when there is war of the US army and when it is not. The war had already taken place six months earlier, in the late summer and autumn of 2002. She confirmed this.

It was 1985, when I had a job for about a year in the vicinity of the Damascus Gate and the King David Hotel in Jerusalem, when one day I heard the voice of Arab youths outside: "One dollar-one dollar-one dollar" as if they wanted to sell something for one dollar. When I asked my American friend what that meant, he said that the Arab boys threw stones in front of cameras for European and primarily German TV stations, get one dollar for one stone, to play the Palestinian resistance against the "Israeli apartheid state" (how they call it). I wasn't in Germany at that time, but I assume that German press people didn't travel to Israel because of such videos in order not to broadcast them on TV. But of course I know such kinds of programs. The first intifada began two years later. As an astrologer, can you recognize when videos are staged fakes in order to suggest a certain opinion to the audience?

An essay worth reading.

In German there are different words for thingness (Realität— reality as world of things; from Latin res) and something which maybe expressed as activity in English (Wirklichkeit— that what has impact). In my opinion truth is neither Realität nor Wirklichkeit because also lies have impact and Realität are just things.

I think it was Friedrich Schiller and later Sören Kierkegaard who said:
Reality = coincidence + necessity (Wirklichkeit = Zufall + Notwendigkeit) .
But isn't this a different question?

I don‘ t know. In German truth, reality and activity is mixed colloquially.

Hello Georgius,
In German there is a difference between the words Realität and Wirklichkeit.
But no difference is made in everyday life.
This is often the same in other linguistic matters.

What I wanted to say with my last post.

This topic is about the question of the extent to which we do not fall
into the illusion during public events that the stories we get told
actually turned out differently,
but astrologically we usually interpret the wrong version and
see it as correct, what consequences that has.

It may be weighted differently from country to country.
But Germany primarily has an opinion press and not an information press,
because the citizens should not primarily be objectively informed,
but should be educated to believe in the true faith.
This is the more political level of consideration.

Another level is that we never get information about an event from our own,
but only if we ourselves were the observers.

Source A wasn't there and neither was Source B. I had more detailed knowledge
of a scandal in Germany in which all the information went through the
press office of the Federal Criminal Police Office, but they had their own interest in the case.
Nobody in the press asked good questions.
