Re: Some Incomplete Thoughts-unrelated to astrology 13 by Jakob A friend told me that she was with her partner on motorcycles in St. Petersburg, Russia's second largest city with almost 6 million inhabitants. She said that it was a very beautiful and above all clean big city, where it happened to her for the first time that she had the feeling that she could walk through the city alone as a woman after midnight, without fear. Such a thing would be unthinkable in Western European cities, which are usually not only unsafe, but also dirty. Quote Sat Jun 15, 2024 10:08 pm
Re: Some Incomplete Thoughts-unrelated to astrology 14 by Wei James and Jakob, Thank you all for participating in the discussion. I would like to apologize; I feel that my thoughts have been somewhat disorganized lately. Last night, while I was studying the periodic table, I felt like I had an "epiphany". :-P Reflecting on my high school days, I realize that I didn't really understand what the periodic table was or why it was so important. I just found it frustrating to memorize so much information for exams. :-D There are so many things in this world that we do not understand and so much information that needs to be processed. Re: Some Incomplete Thoughts-unrelated to astrology 15 by Jakob Dear Wei, what is the purpose of this topic, what is the direction and goal? I got the feeling posthumously that my first post didn't match what your intention is. Jakob Quote Sun Jun 16, 2024 8:40 am
Re: Some Incomplete Thoughts-unrelated to astrology 16 by Wei Jakob, This post does not have any specific goals or directions; it is simply a collection of some thoughts. If I had to state a purpose, it would be to hear different opinions. Your responses have enriched my knowledge and experience. This has completely fulfilled my purpose. Thank you! :-D Working at the airport was once my dream. My previous job was a foreign trade assistant, and I feel that I enjoy working in the transportation/logistics industry. However, in the future, automated warehousing will probably replace human staff. Quote Sun Jun 16, 2024 1:13 pm
Re: Some Incomplete Thoughts-unrelated to astrology 17 by james_m jakob i have never read havel, but i know who he is.. maybe we could look at his chart and get something from it?? https://www.astro.com/astro-databank/Havel,_V%C3%A1clav i am not sure of the importance of neptune moving into tropical aries... some people believe strongly in ingress relevance.. what do you think it means?? a big cloud of confusion will become that much more apparent?? wei that's fine! i liked what you said here - "There are so many things in this world that we do not understand and so much information that needs to be processed." and we can't understand or process them all either... Nowadays, when I read news/posts/articles, I tend to check the author's nationality and the website's stance. I strongly dislike Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and I don't have any particular fondness for the United States either. James, I have a rather pessimistic and negative view of humanity, even though I am human myself... However, I would like to say that China's electric vehicles are impressive. In the past, the air pollution in my city was very severe. This time, when I went China I was pleasantly surprised to find that the city's air quality had improved significantly. The streets were filled with electric vehicles, and I hardly saw any gasoline or diesel cars. (I hadn't been China for nearly five years due to the pandemic), (In 2023, I briefly went back once, but I got sick as soon as I returned China and didn't go out much. This time, I went China and went out almost every day. However, I still noticed a bad smell in the air, which I think is due to the city's sewage system not being fully developed. ) I think that car exhaust has a serious impact on air pollution, which can adversely affect people's quality of life.Especially in densely populated cities like those in China. The city I'm in, Changsha, is considered a major city in China. Quote Sun Jun 16, 2024 2:52 pm
Re: Some Incomplete Thoughts-unrelated to astrology 19 by james_m roger boyd is the name of the author.. it is from the uk, but lives in canada at present... i strongly dislike the usa's invasion of ukraine, so we are even.. https://www.thepostil.com/1993-the-barr ... e-ukraine/ https://www.thepostil.com/wp-content/up ... n-1994.pdf i am not sure how the future is going to unfold, but i would like to remain positive... those who are ignorant of the past, are bound to repeat it... yes, i get the impression the new vehicles coming out of china are definitely a cut above.. i suppose this explains some, perhaps all of the new sanctions imposed on buying vehicles from china... when the competition is better - find another way to get rid of the competition! i am not sure what else explains it.. is air pollution bad in the city where you live - changsha? thanks.. Re: Some Incomplete Thoughts-unrelated to astrology 20 by Wei Thank you. The information you've provided has helped balance my thoughts and understanding of the world. James, I feel you are a person of justice, someone who values peaceful and fair interactions between people, and dislikes one group exploiting another. I'm not sure if I understand your thoughts correctly, but I feel similarly. Last edited by Wei on Tue Jun 18, 2024 9:45 am, edited 1 time in total. Quote Mon Jun 17, 2024 4:12 am
Re: Some Incomplete Thoughts-unrelated to astrology 21 by Jakob Dear James, Vaclav Havel was probably the politician who impressed me the most. He was a man of high consciousness. Slovakia's independence from Czechoslovakia was peaceful because of him. His horoscope with ASC beginning Aquarius is interesting. There's Pluto today. My greatest affinity for people and fateful days lies at the beginning of Aquarius. He was also a very good writer, absurdist theater like Samuel Beckett. He wrote a lot about human alienation, which is the cause of today's problems. It' s worth dealing with his thoughts. I can imagine that with Neptune in Aries the current power status quo will be dissolved. Jakob Quote Mon Jun 17, 2024 6:31 am
Re: Some Incomplete Thoughts-unrelated to astrology 22 by Jakob Here in Germany, a woman was convicted by a court last summer for publicly speaking out in favor of Russia in the Ukraine conflict. The death of dialectics is the birth of dictatorship. Quote Mon Jun 17, 2024 9:53 am
Re: Some Incomplete Thoughts-unrelated to astrology 23 by Jakob Vaclav Havel said, among other things, that in the Eastern Bloc there was a compulsory use of the terms. One example was the word peace, which was very often used (misused) by politicians of eastern dictatorship. Today, something similar is taking place in Germany, a pattern that was familiar from the GDR. The word democracy is used inflationarily, in contrast to Russia, but also to the opposition in Germany. Re: Some Incomplete Thoughts-unrelated to astrology 24 by Jakob A few weeks after the German federal election, I was on a one-week training course in southwest Germany. In the process, I met a man who had been traveling all over the world as an international election observer for several decades, I mean for the OECD. Finally, I asked him in which countries there were the most problems in elections and where they were most orderly. He said it is traditionally cleanest in some African countries, where each ballot is photographed in front of a witness and then stored digitally. He also said that every country in the world would publish in their media that their own elections would be the cleanest. I asked how it was going in the West and especially in Germany. He said there were always problems. But these countries finance the election observers. He had been in cognito at the election in Germany that had just ended and had reported the irregularities there, which would actually have been the task of the poll workers. But they didn't dare. I then asked him in which German constituencies there were most often legal problems. He said that of the 11 very serious offenses of the last election, 10 constituencies had a majority of the Social Democrats. Quote Mon Jun 17, 2024 10:23 am
