How has the Norwegian weather been doing since April? As usual or better than usual?

My backyard was packed with snow in April. More than average. Partially due to the amounts coming off the roof, but not entirely.

As soon as Mercury station was over, temperatures have dropped dramatically in South, Eastern and Western regions of Norway. Hope it pick up again soon.

I noticed here in the tropics it went all hot and sultry ( as opposed to cool and dry as is the season) when Mercury was stationed and then we moved into the dry with its directness. There is a NZ bloke who uses the Moon to forcast weather web site is https://www.predictweather.co.nz/#/home/ but is mainly for down under - however he has a lot of really interesting info in regards to the Nodes of the moon ( as used in Bio dynamics) and weather events. Fascinating stuff

Finally we have some good weather forecast for tomorrow, but it has picked up already today and I have thrown off my T-shirt. Mercury 30Taurus. When temperatures dropped after the few Summer days around Mercury's station, I found myself wondering whether we would have to wait for Mercury to reach Gemini before there was a change. I hate to admit we actually did get two weeks with jackets and overcoats in wait for Mercury to get done with it's pocket back to Taurus.

I can't quite work out why temperatures rose while Mercury was stationary, but he was contained by the Sun and Mars, and it would be a natural result of quiet in the atmosphere at this time of year.

Currently, Venus conjunct Mars is what Al-Birmumi and then Coley refer to as an 'Opening of Gates'. Venus in hard aspect to Mars is considered to provide moderately good weather, according to Coley. Sz?ll?si say Venus is pleasant, yet damp. Mars is hot and dry, and may add energy. Trouble is, of course, that this has to be related to locality by ingress, lunation or other.

We live by the sea in the inner Oslo-fjord and little (and low) water levels in the fjord is an indication of several days with good weather. This is because the high atmospheric pressure presses the water away. When the water level again rises (apart from the normal fluctation of low and high tides) then you know that the air once again is changing and humidity is on the way.

From end of June till first week of July Venus and Mars will be in square with Jupiter (and Neptune). Maybe the weather will be less stable than this conjunction might indicate .

The solar ingresses to the cardinal signs Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn are termed temperature charts and considered most important for judging the weather the coming season. Here is the chart for the Summer solstice as viewed from Oslo, which gives the chart a local relevance. For the point of discussion I will attempt to give the chart a reading, although I admit I do not have a lot of experience in this field of astrology and am by no means certain where the chart will take us.
The expected weather is primarily judged from the ascendant, the 4th house and it's significators. A fixed sign on the ascendant is due to give stable weather, although considering Leo on the ascendant of Oslo maybe excessive heat and violence.

Libra is on the 4th cusp. The most prominent feature of the chart then being Venus' very tight conjunction with Mars in Taurus. This could be scorching. Taurus as a fixed sign and being the detriment of Mars could add heat, violence, fire and thunder. Forrest fires are a common problem in Norway during the drought of the Summer. The South would be particularly vulnerable due to the conjunction of Venus and Mars in an Earth sign and in the 10th house.

However, one of the most predominant positions in the chart is probably Mercury at 8GE28, who is on the midpoint of Asc/MC. The importance of the Mercury is also emphasised since it receives the application and conjunction of the Moon. Mercury is of his own nature cold and dry, but then interchangeble in connection with other planets. Mercury could be due to provide changeble weather accompanied with strong winds.

In conclusion I think the chart shows changeble yet dry weather, tending to the extremes with heat and violence. Maybe there will be that Summer storm that everyone may talk about. There will be the seasonal thunderstorm with the danger of fires in the south. Agricultural land and household animals could be endangered.

That tight conjunction of Venus Mars is indeed interesting, finally that 'endless' Venus Mars conjunction comes to an end. The Moon joins them friday they are at about 45? from the Sun and about 1 day before Mercury is 22.5? from the Sun, so inbetween. I wouldn't have mentioned (or noticed) this extremely and probably insignificant aspect if it wasn't part of the pattern.

In the chart Venus and Mars are close to 15? Taurus, the place of the Sun at the Beltane festive day. The New Moon close after the solstice is also interesting.


The ingress chart for Utrecht (center of the Netherlands) gives
MC 1?17' Aries and Asc. 27?35' Cancer. Especially the MC attributes to the planetary positions. For the Netherlands I'd go for the heat but rather a moist heat than a dry heat, still maybe without much rain, apart from when Venus/Mars square Jupiter?
