Ficina
Thank you for your thoughts.
Although I was pretty familiar with JF's method as I said, I'm a bit confused with some of the things in the book. Regarding Liverppol, that was the second 'freak result' in a row. I was curious how that happened with the kind of squad they have, not to mention the actual event charts .

Andrew
I'm sorry I thought what you said(POS square Moon) reffered to Rafa Benitez. JF would say that would be a testimony for DC team, or rather underdogs, though I'm not sure I'd agree.
Ficina, I've been replacing where JF refers to as underdogs with DC team--- do you think that's all right??

I don't see anything in the chart that Villa can overcome ManU either. The most interesting chart in FA Cup rounds at the weekend will be Stoke City(odds: 3.00) / Newcastle(2.20). It looks like Stoke have a good chance to me...

Stoke beating Newcastle - that would be a fine prediction. It would be a help for me if you quoted some of the astrological details that lead me to your deduction. Then I can follow your line of thinking, rather than taking it from the flip of a coin.

I had to look around to find 'Stoke', actually. There not in the Premier League, League 1 or League 2. But they appear to be doing quite well in the Championship.

The calculation I did for the Stoke-Newcastle game gives me an Asc in early Leo. What are the testimonies?
Thanks!

That's all right when he's referring to L7 or L4, but not when he's talking about aspects between Moon and PoF. So for example if the away team (Desc) are the faves and we have Moon square PoF, then that would favour the underdogs, who are the Asc team. Does that make sense? Basically the faves are the faves regardless of whether they are Asc or Desc.

I can't see Villa winning either. They have home advantage and the Moon is technically VOC, so the best they could hope for would be a draw.

Moon opp Mars (L10) looks good for Stoke. They have home advantage and Newcastle aren't odds on. Gem, do you actually understand decimal odds? They are completely alien to me :-?

16
OK - so Moon opposite Mars, L10, is good for the underdogs. And wouldn't Sun, L1, square the MC through signs of short ascension also be favourable?

Since it is a nocturnal chart, I have PoS(n) at 11CN38. The closest aspect this makes is the sextile to Saturn through signs of long ascension, which would not be an advantage for the favourites, before considering whether Saturn should be given special significance as L7 (in regard to its aspect to the Part) or not.

Yes it makes sense, thanks Ficina, as always.

 I'm not sure if I do actually but the way I understand them is much easier for me to work out how much I'll get than fractional odds. As a pound-stake person, if I put money on Stoke in this case, I'll get ?3 minus ?1, and if I put money on NC, I'll get ?2.20 minus ?1 (I can't be wrong, though!). It's a mystery to me how people who use fractional odds can work out possible profits instantly.

Andrew
There aren't actually many testimonies for Stoke: POF sextile MC ruler and antiscion-Sun(their sig) is conjunct Part of Success. Then I don't see any testimony for NC. Anti-Satrun(their sig) is in the MC, meaning they are under the power of Stoke. The pressure is definitely on NC. They have been out of form for a while and their manager Alladyce'll probably get a sack if they're beaten by Stoke.

Villa are a very good team and I think ( not astrologically based) they'll play well today.

I've never looked at these kind of aspects, Andrew, so I can't really comment. Gem was looking at something similar in the 2nd Jan charts.
I have PoS(n) at 11CN38
I have it at 17 Cancer. Asc is 7 Leo.

Many thanks for your explanation of decimal odds, Gem. That certainly makes it clearer :)

I'd got a great combination with Wigan, Leeds and ManCity
Sunderland - Wigan 0-3
Leeds - Northampton 3-0

but then City couldn't put the ball in the WestHam box :(

WestHam - ManCity 0-0
What a pity - the combination would have paid 20:1...

There were a few suprizes today - Didn't Coventry do well beating Blackburn 1-4!!? But Birmingham loosing for Huddersfield?
What on Earth were they thinking??? :-sk

--------------------------------------------

The Villa-ManU game was right, of course 0 - 2
But it took them 80 min to make up their mind. 8)

I hope Arsenal and Liverpool don't muck up tomorrow.
I have two multiple bets from today with Wolves, ManU, Leeds and Chelsea all coming through. Ok, so I threw in a combination with Stoke beating Newcastle, too.

I will still be drying tears over the draw between WestHam and ManC, which cancelled profits on Wigan+Leeds :-cry , but it would be nice with a good, solid win on Sunday!

I also put Derby to beat Sheffield Wed.
Seeing that 19GE02 was on the asc, Mercury, who is L1, is in an exact trine with fortuna. Mercury is also in mr with Saturn, who is L10

As several Premiership clubs were beaten by lower league clubs ( Everton and Bolton lost too), it won't be as embarrassing as feared if NC are to be beaten today. Judging from the charts, Arsenal and Liverpool should be fine.

Hope your tears are dried up now, Andrew, and good luck with your bets :)

In the 2pm games today Moon is conj antiscion Jupiter (L7) and I'm wondering how helpful that will be to the away teams. Arsenal are odds-on faves so they don't need any help, but how about the other two underdogs? As we have seen, premiership teams can be beaten, and Fulham and Derby aren't exactly two of the best! Perhaps a draw? What do you think?

24
Yes the 2pm charts are very interesting. There are mixed testimonies, aren't they? The one you mentioned favouring the Jupiter team, but the Moon is applying to Mercury(AC team). According to JF, that favours AC team. I also note the anti-POS at 19 Gem is exactly on the AC in the Derby chart.
How will they pan out?
