Thanks also, Susie, for your 3pm games analysis. Although you've said you'll only be keeping a watching brief on radicality this weekend, I'll just reply on the Sunday games you mentioned.

Chelsea vs Aston Villa - LOH Venus, LAsc Saturn - not radical

Venus rules the earth triplicity by day, so chart is radical.

Everton vs Newcastle - LOH Mercury, LAsc Saturn - dunno!

Mercury is same nature as Cap, cold/dry, so again radical.

Nine of the ten charts are radical but it's unlikely 9 faves or 9 home teams will win. Gem has been looking at the condition of the hour ruler and we saw in the Cluj/Chelsea game that the chart was radical but it didn't help Chelsea, probably because hour ruler Mercury was accidentally weak. We've also seen the hour ruler failing to perform when it was VOC.

When judging 3pm charts, I'd definitely need something more than the event charts, like looking at the club charts as Dan did.

I still haven't had a chance to look at the weekend charts properly but will try to come back later. Especially intriegued by what Ficina and Dan said about the Blackburn/Man U match.

I've managed to update my database with the exact start time of the games. Now I have 6331 PL games to analyze.

I've looked up on the AS position in signs and Home/Away team win.
And for Capricorn AS (3pm games for today 4.10) the Home Teams are more favourable to win or make a draw. If I lookup only for AS in sign we should have some 1-1 games results.

The interesting thing is that for Aries AS the Away teams tends to lose more games than in case of other signs. For Scorpio we have a strong trend for equal games...esp. 0-0.

That's very interesting. Capricorn AC favouring the AC team particularly makes sense if Satrun is in Virgo, but maybe not when he was in Leo...

Re Blackburn/ManU, the chart isn't radical but if they kick off 3,4 mins late, it will be, with Venus taking over as the LOH, while the Sun's influence as the LOH is rapidly fading and not very relevant.
I'll go for Man U win as a terribly biased person

As for Sunderland/Arsenal, without even looking at the chart, I can't imagine anything but Arsenal beating Sunderland, especially after watching their impressive display mid-week.

I've had a quick look at some of the 3:00 pm charts and I'm thinking in the same direction as Susie. Actually these look like very favourable charts, with Jupiter rising, Venus on the MC, and the Moon in the 11th applying to the sextile of the Sun. I give the ascendant and the focus of the chart as a whole to the home team, so I am going to assume that most of the home teams in the 3:00 pm matches do well according to their own standards and expectations.

BTW, since I know so little about football my baseline for predictions is whatever my husband predicts for the Guardian site. He makes no allowance for astrology, so these are purely 'rational' predictions based on his long time experience and interest in football. Then I tinker about with these according to how I think the astrological influences aid or hinder. At the moment my ranking is 2000 higher than his, which suggests to me that - overall - adding astrology into the mix really does help. The only motivation I ever have for altering his predictions is that it suits the astrology better, so if I end the season with a higher ranking than my husband then I'll definitely see this as an astrological success.

My statistics are from PL games between 1992-2008 and I'm not so sure that is related to Saturn in Virgo.

Well we agree on one-Blackburn

Sunderland, I have as16/10/1880 when they changed from Sunderland Teachers to Sunderland FC

The Arsenal date, I assume is when Dial House FC became Woolwich Arsenal. I use the date when Woolwich was dropped and the team moved to Highbury, using either the first game as Arsenal or the date when the FA gave approval to the name change.

Mercury takes on whatever planet(s) he is with (in this case the Sun), and also the sign he happens to be in ( Libra, squaring the sign on the AC). Combust Mercury in Libra is hardly cold and dry... doesn't this render the chart non-radical? On the other hand, I aknowledge that there's reception between them; Mercury receives Saturn in his domicile and Mercury in Satrun's exaltation sign but since there's no aspect between them, I'm not sure if this will work for the AC team especially with the Moon conj Pluto.
