Astrology-X-Files is back! As GR mentioned, Curt is redesigning the site and not all of it is back up yet - as of last night, the articles were still not there. But software information, sales and downloads are. It's great to see the site again.

Now I'm being blocked whenever I try to reach the articles through the link Yuzuru provided...it seems I've seen this thread a bit too late
And the texts are really great, there was so much to learn - I hope the new site is up soon.

There was a discussion on another board about this. Curt had the articles removed from the archive and from his site due to concerns of unauthorized copying.

Great...if that had been his main concern, he shouldn't have written anything in the first place
If we follow that 'logic', then Deb should delete her site,all the articles immediately, because it is the best astrological site on the net and anyone can read and copy to his heart's content.

But what if people had copied Deb's site, and then put the content on the Web or in print without attribution, claiming her work as their own? She doesn't then have the right to defend herself, because she "shouldn't have written anything in the first place?"

The world, including the Internet, is full of people who just want to take, and take, and take, and not give back even a small modicum of respect, much less money or some other means of exchange. Of particular note, the pernicious and frankly idiotic notion that "information wants to be free", which simply means "I want to steal anybody's intellectual property without by or leave, because the material has to get out there, man!"

well I dont entirely agree. I believe information does want to be free, however I also think that posting something without posting origins is not posting information, because the info came from somewhere, it is stealing of the accolade. It also interferes with one trying to find more info from the source. And source is important.

But then I suppose we all have differences of opinion.

I think when most people see something for free on the net, they take it for what it's worth, which in their minds is nothing. It becomes some other thing they can take, some other technique that they can add to their menagerie of foo-foo they think of as astrology.

If information wants to be free, then why is it such an expensive date?
