POF square Saturn: 1?43. (Is it a testimony against Italy?)
I am so glad you asked. Saturn is an underdog planet. Yesterday we had a game bewteen South Arabia and North Korea that let down the beans, since the game ended 0-0. Most of us thought SA would get it due to Saturn, L1, sextile the MC, albeit through signs of long ascension. This sextile aspect did not grant victory for L1, but resulted in a draw.

Saturn square POF through signs of L.A. today did not result in a draw, but proved an advantage for the underdog. It's something like that.

Does that make sense? :brows

Well, my alternative method of allocating the strongest sig to the fave appears to be working ok so far.

When you think about it - it really does make a lot of sense. It's a good move.
Thanks for the vote of confidence, Deb. Already I can see obstacles approaching for this method though. For example, when Sun goes into Cancer, both it and Saturn will be peregrine. I suppose I could look to their dispositors but that might be a step too far. I shall continue experimenting.

Another problem will be when there isn't a clear favourite, but then this will affect all methods of allocation which involve the favourite.

This is an 'IF' question that certainly has more to do with football than astrology, but WHAT would have happened IF Brazil had scored one less goal against Italy? Then Italy would have advanced due to goal difference. Or if USA had scored one less goal, the Egypt advances for the same reasons? However, the goal diff between Egypt and Italy would have been equal. Italy would have advanced with 0-2 in both games!

So much decided by someone elses performence! WOW! :-T

Agreed. No sign of the underdog upsetting the very short-priced favourite. In addition to hour-ruler trine Asc, there's Saturn L1 trine POF(night) or POSp. I shall watch the game on TV, although it looks like it will be very one-sided.

I was very impressed with USA - they scored two good goals and defended brilliantly. I've no allegiance to either side but it's always exciting when an underdog wins like that - even when I've predicted the exact opposite!

I couldn't see any reason for giving USA the Asc but the chart makes more sense that way. Even so, I would have expected to see a really stunning testimony (or testimonies) to indicate such a huge upset.

Anyway, well done USA! Looking forward to seeing them in the final.

Yes, me too, and it's very important, IMHO. There should be something in this chart! And it would be nice, if, using astrology, we could more or less foresee such huge upsets. I will thoroughly analyze this chart if I have time. :) And the chart of Italy-Egypt too, surprise result, similar colors (one team white, one team dark). Although this latter may be useless, as Andrew did predict that surprise :) but I still don't understand that result "astrologically", just like the Spain-USA. :(

I have read somewhere, an article of an astrologer, she claimed that using astrology to predict sports is generally OK, but we shouldn't underestimate the free will and efforts of the participating individuals. I don't know what to think about it. At first sight yesterday's game may be an example of this. But I think it's not! The Spanish had lots of chances, shots, corners, and while I give much credit to team USA and especially its goalkeeper, I say that the Spanish were doomed yesterday. E.g. shots from distance, when the ball bounced back from the keeper, the ball could have easily gone to Spanish players (creating a huge chance with empty net) but no, the ball "decided" to go to US players.

POF is conjunct Uranus, however, I have not seen this perform as a testimony of the underdog earlier. In my opinion Uranus seems to fortify the favourite, unless in an unfortunate aspect. The angular Moon is the most accurate and therefore obvious factor of the chart. A luminary in exact aspect with an angle has been a token of the favourites on previous occasions. However, I am not sure the odds truly reflect the balance in the game. There is nothing worse than loosing a multiple bet on grounds of a game that was poorly priced anyhow.

Multiple bets are a bad technique anyway. For example, the odds of winning a 3-game combo bet are 12.5%.

Since Brazil is the away team and DSC Leo relates more to the yellow jerseys I would go for the Brazil in this one. Moon falls just inside the cusp of the 7th -- they should win.
