Goodie, Taurian! This will be an interesting match! :)
You give the guests, who are the favourites, the ascendant. Personally, I would like to keep Waterford on the descendant. Venus at 0GE25 is sitting on the 7th and could do it for the guests. Mercury rules both the 10th and the 7th and is the Lord of the Hour. Mercury casts his antiscia to 26GE04, hence, the Moon applies to aspect (by opposition) with the lord of the hour before arriving at the sextile with Jupiter, L1. There is this question of the opposition, but then Mercury may offer the moon some merit either from Cancer or his own sign Gemini. POF is sextile the Sun, which supports the idea of the favourite getting it - but experience is beginning to tell me to go with that testimony that is most exact and accurate.

Yet, we still agree! Go, go Waterford! :D :'

Sligo Rovers - Drogheda, 20.00 BST Sligo
Odds: 2,15 3,20 3,00
Asc 16SG03 MC 22LI04 Moon 26SG28 POF 28TA38
Day Sun, Hour Moon - Moon in the same sign as the asc.
The aspect that excites me most with this chart is the fact that the Sun casts it's antiscia to 16GE07, which is exact on the descendant. POF is closest by sign to the infortune Mars (closer by orb to Venus, but who is in the next sign) so I will be following Drogheda.

Longford ? Waterford 1 - 3 ! Brilliant Taurean! :'

Sligo Rovers - Drogheda 2 - 2
Drogheda didn't quite do it. Not quite my weekend, unfortunately!
Never mind! Great learning! :)

Monday July 6:

Brann - Fredrikstad, 19.00 CST Bergen 60N23 5E20
Odds: 1,70 3,60 4,85
Asc 28SC42 MC 5LI35 Moon 7CP21 POF 20TA47
Day Moon, Hour Jupiter - square Mars L1. signs of short ascension.
There is really nothing in this chart except that tight aspect between Jupiter and Mars. Brann are the better team. They should win, yet the draw haunts me. :-?

Thx :) we were both right about Waterford. :)

Re Sligo, it?s an interesting chart! And you were definitely on to something because you ?took the victory away? from the favorite home team, and you were right! My additions to that chart: being home and favorite, we should give the asc to Sligo, without much thinking. Thus I was looking for testimonies for the away team, practically good ?stuff? to Mercury. Well, part-of-spirit-day is conjunct Mercury 0deg35, and Mercury is home, in the 7th house. Not in Gemini, he is in the Cancer part of the7th house, but still home.

Norway Tippeligaen
SK Brann ? Fredrikstad (Bergen, 19:00 local time)
Odds 1.61 / 3.80 / 5.50

Asc 28SC12 / MC 05LI36 / Moon 7CP21 / POF 20TA47
Day of Moon / Hour of Jupiter

This match is worth to analyze IMHO. You can give the asc to the home favorites, although L7 Venus' ess dig is better (Mars 1, Venus 3) thus giving the desc to Brann is plausible as well. L1 Mars is practically conjunct Algol  although probably it doesn't matter in our case. L7 Venus is home in the 7th house, near the cusp, will leave this house soon. Interesting aspects: Jupiter (LHr and fortune) square L1 Mars 0?07; part-of-spirit-day trine MC 0?00  ; part-of-sudden-advancement sextile L7 Venus 0?29.

Great! :' You might not have notived but I added this match to my previous post. As I was editing my entry, you posted yours. But now we have both looked at it. Super! :D

I am finding it interesting and curious that the favourite can be given both the ascendant and the descendant. That doesn't really give the other team a chance does it. :-?

Imagine 22 players all playing one way! :lala

Brann - Fredrikstad 2-1!! Well done, Taurian! :D

Wow, was that an exciting finnish. It looked like it was going to end 1-1, then Brann got their 2nd goal 2 minutes into overtime! Straight afterwards Fredrikstad were close to equalizing before Brann missed an open goal in the last seconds of the match!

Picking matches like this, Taurean, is all there is to it! :'

Yes, nice game indeed. :)

I would like to be sure who-was-who. I found a video on YouTube of an earlier Brann-Fredrikstad match. Brann was red-white, Fredrikstad white-red. Because of the red shirts of Brann, I give them the asc. (Did you see the match, Andrew, were they using the same colors today?)

And if we know who-was-who, there's an other question. Jupiter, LHr, and fortune, square Mars. What does it mean? Did it help the Mars team (because it's an aspect, that's it) or did it set back the Mars team (because the square is told to be a bad aspect)? It's hard for me to decide! Maybe it was helping them because they have won; but maybe it was an obstacle for them because they had to work so hard, and scoring the winning goal so late etc. which is a bit surprising from these strong favorites.

Yes, I saw the last 10 minutes. Hell, no.! They were not wearing the same colours. What a mess that would have been. No, Fredrikstad was in dark blue - almost black.

If they had had whistles hanging round their neck, confusion would have been complete. :brows

Four games in the Norwegain Cup. The same starting times 19.00 CST but in different locations. It makes you appreciate how longstretched Norway is. Any telling?

Alta ? Molde, 19.00 CST Alta 69N55 23E12 in the Arctic ? Check the angles!
Odds: 5,50 4,00 1,55
Asc 22SC18 MC 26LI55 Moon 0AQ57 POF 6GE36
Day Mercury, Hour Saturn ? same triplicity as Mars
Moon to trine Venus who is L7 and L10.

Sogndal ? Aalesund, 19.00 CST Sogndal 61N11 7E14
Odds: 2,50 3,40 2,60
Asc 29SC28 MC 9LI39 Moon 0AQ57 POF 13GE45

Stabaek ? Lillestr?m, 19.00 CST, Oslo
Odds: 1,80 3,50 4,25
Asc 3AG27 MC 13LI37 Moon 0AQ57 POF 17GE45

Vaalerenga ? Mjondalen, 19.00 CST, Oslo
Odds: 1,25 6,00 9,00
Asc 3AG27 MC 13LI37 Moon 0AQ57 POF 17GE45

Venus, L10, is 3GE41 and on the descendant in the Oslo games. It will be interesting to discover whether this fortunes the home team favourites or the guests. Note that in these games POF is also square Saturn at 17VI11 so this may open for suprizes

Alta - Molde 0 - 1 ! :'
Sogndal - Aalesund 0-1
Stabaek - Lillestr?m 4-0
Vaalerenga - Mjondalen 3 -1

I won money by backing Molde. I didn't dare put in a combination with Stabaek and Vaalerenga, but they had no problems. Venus, L7, angular on the cusp of the 7th being more exact than POF square Saturn. I don't quite feel I am the Master of planets on the cusp of the 7th yet.

They confuse me. But we will keep collecting material.

Two opportunities to test planets on the cusp of the 7th from Iceland on Thursday:

Fjolnir - Stjarnan, 20.15 BST Reykjavik 64N09 21W51
Odds: 2,70 3,30 2,30
Asc 28SC43 MC 16LI00 Moon 13AQ53 POF 24GE54
Day Venus, Hour Moon - radical.
Mars, L1, is 28TA22 and sitting on the descendant.
POF at 24GE54 is cloesest trine Jupiter at 26AQ04.
Stjarnan have had problems winning away-games, but this is their chance to capture the points at a fair price. The Sun (Stjarnen=the star) is square the MC, although slightly wide compared with other indications.

Hafnarfjordur - Fylkir, 21.00 BST Hafnarfjord 64N03 21W56
Odds: 1,30 4,75 7,75
Asc 5SG11 MC 27LI56 Moon 14AQ15 POF 1CN42
Day Venus, Hour Moon - in same sign at Jupiter, Lord Asc.
Hafnarfjord seem to be winning everything at the moment and although there opponent is worthy of respect, seeing that the Lady of the Hour is in the same sign as Jupiter, L1, it will be difficult to topple the home team favourites. Even though POF is opposite Pluto at 1CP33, but then maybe this gives some startling result or action. Venus, L10, is 4GE55 and is angular, sitting on the 7th, which is comparable to the two cup matches in Oslo the previoius day.

I am going for a double. 8)

I would bring up an ?old story?. Cork City ? St. Patrick 0:1. Cork, Ireland, 2009.07.07. 19:45 local time. (Asc 17SG17.) The underdog has won (and even away from home!) that's why this chart is interesting for me. I gave the asc to home favorites Cork, and see no reason to allocate the asc to the guests. One reason of this surprise victory may be POF being in the 7th house. Although I guess it's not rare, e.g. in case of the 4 Norway Cup matches which were analyzed yesterday, POF was in the 7th. The only difference I see is, in case of the Irish match POF is relatively close to the desc, 4?15 degrees (not too close, I admit), in case of the Norwegian matches the distance is much bigger.

My point is, POF sitting on the asc or on the desc may be important and worth to record and analyze.
