Planetary Alertness and Moods 13 by delaforge Varuna, I will study your email and come back to you on the avasthas. Most interesting, by the way. But for now I will address your question about rectification. I did not knowingly use any Vedic method of rectification - so we're probably at this moment in the wrong forum! I used Bailey's Pre-Natal Epoch, a development of the Truitine of Hermes. In the early '70s, I tested the pre-natal epoch. A friend of a friend was one of a pair of twins. I asked for the birth data and an approximate time. Thus, if the recorded birth time was 7:50, I might be given an indication that the birth was between half past seven and eight, or between a quarter to eight and eight o'clock. I worked on the data given and came up with a time just over a minute wide of the recorded time. Then later, when I needed to know the birth times of a set of female twins, I resorted to the same method, even though by that time I was immersed in the study of Vedic astrology. The rectification moved both birth times forward by approximately two minutes, giving the later-born woman a different ascendant to the earlier-born one. The women are different in appearance and have had very different lives, which one would expect if one had an Aquarian ascendant and the other a Piscean ascendant (which is what the results of my rectification showed).
