I always check tertiary progressions and usually find them quite telling. What would you think of his stellium in 8th, Sun conjunct Algol, Moon and POF anaretic, IC and Vertex at 0?...
8th and 12th ruled by Venus
Uranus, IC ruler, conjuncting AC
Moira squaring the last degrees of 8th house

Thank you Viola for posting this chart. Can't comment on the tertiaries as no expertise on this.

As for eminence that is hard to judge. He did not not seem to do well in his career and seemed to live in isolation and yet was well-known and popular, with the people at least, if not the authorities of the church but my answer was too simple.
