The bottom line is that the solar return indicators are not good for this year as a whole, so no great success is to be had in any field.
Wonderful, just wonderful.

Do you think Saturn inconjunct my prog. Sun is partly to blame for that?

And I thought the Grand Water Trine of 2013 would be beneficial for me.

In classical astrology, inconjunct is not an aspect - it designates the lack of one, actually. It's called aversion, "the loss of sight" between the planets.

Success or the absence of the same cannot be boiled down to a single aspect/constellation. That's not the way astrology was conceived to be understood and its principles applied in delineations.

In your solar return chart, there is a preponderance of pretty negative testimonies, which involve both natal and profected/solar chart lords of the ASC/MC and that, along with natal chart indicators, is what led me to the conclusion I've presented.

However, I wish you much more success than indicated by the solar chart for this year :'

Is this even possible? Have you ever seen something like this happening?

I still don't get how all these elements (horary, solar, transit, prog.) can make a fitting picture with all these contradictions and different angles. I just made another horary, asking what will happen in my life this year. And teh ressult is confusing.

Let's wait and see if it's possible or not. I don't think(for the time being at least) that stars "control" human life in its entirety.

Well, that's a matter of learning this art, practicing, etc so what puzzles you, makes a pretty clear picture for someone like me ;)

I don't use secondary progressions. There are more than enough other predictive tools&techniques to work with, and I don't remember having missed anything important in delineations by ignoring them.

What is interesting for this year's indicators is their consistency, i.e their testimonies point pretty much in the same direction. One doesn't see this very often, but when it's there, it designates something very important by stressing particular themes in solar return chart - as I've already explained in my analysis.

One benevolent piece of advice - one does not find reliable indicators of success (reliable indicators for anything, generally speaking!) by repeating horary questions on the same topic in so short period of time.

Horary doesn't/cannot 'work' that way, trust me :)

I just don't like the idea that I am imprisoned by my own fate and there is nothing I can do about it.

No matter what direction I will go. Makes me feel like a caged animal. Maybe I should have never asked about all this.

What about constellations like the Grand Water trine? Is this a too general aspect to have any kind of impact on me or another individual?

hi veritas,

working with astrology might seem like working with a double edged sword sometimes.. fate verses free will is an ongoing discussion amongst astrologers and it hasn't been resolved! we are bound by our thought processes, or freed by them depending on how you look at all this.. you've been given lots of feedback from different folks here and all of it has been well meaning! take what you like and leave the rest! if you didn't get the answer you wanted, then maybe you have come to the wrong place!!

That's true but it wasn't meant to be a criticism to your answers. I am glad I got so many different POV.

But you are right, I expected better things this year.

No, I don't think I have come to the wrong place. Quite the opposite.

You might appreciate Lee Lehman's thoughts on this matter (http://leephd.blogspot.co.uk/search?upd ... 4:00-05:00).

Horary "works" because it is the measure of how things will unfold in the absence of free will. Thus, horary is not an opinion about free will, but about how people operate when they themselves have abrogated free will.

If you really don't like the direction in which your life is taking you - change direction. The trick is knowing the direction life is taking you; and that is where astrology, in all its various forms, opens a window into our future that is otherwise hidden.

Thanks for the link and the quote,Geoffrey. I have seen how horary chart change their result depending on the choices we make.

When I made the horary about my political party it had an early ASC, telling me the matter was too early to decide. Two days ago, another astrologer made a horary chart asking the question and the moon was void. Telling me I won't do it.

So yes, horary definitly is changable according to our will BUT I was more refering to my solar chart, which has a rather negative testimony as Goran made it quite clear and unfortunately he is very accurate.

My statement about "animal in cage" was more the entire scope of astrology, natal, horary, solar, progr. etc.

And as far as I have learned in recent years learning astrology, you can't change the outcome only so much.
