Interestingly, in Sanskrit both George and James start with the same letter
ja ?
George=?????
James=?????
So he is still in the Uttarashadha constellation.

Now, I need to look at the markings in his feet to see the sign of lotus conforming with Scorpio ascendant. :)

Hi Mark & skyscripters Very Happy ,
I was hunting round on the net a while back & found this birthtime for Kate Confused I am not sure where I saw it now, sorry,so it may/may not be accurate. I am fairly good at rectifying nativities & have successfully done so on a number of occasions in the past with celebs, only to discover their times of birth at later dates & only being minutes out with one (Vanessa Paradis) & just over an hour with another Thumbs up
As astrologers/students(as in my case!),we should be able to look at her physical appearance & possibly work out whether this nativity describes her accurately Leery

Hi Saturngirl,

I wonder if it was actually on this very site and forum you first saw the 11:33 time?

Kate Middleton's time of birth was discussed 2 1/2 years ago in this thread on the marriage of the royal couple here on the mundane forum

http://www.skyscript.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?p=58990

A member called Alice McDermot asked if anyone knew the time of birth for Kate Middleton and came back a few days later with this post made on the 21st November 2010:
Alice McDermot wrote:
Here is a site that has traced Catherine Middleton's ancestry. It states she was born in Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading. http://www.wargs.com/other/middleton.html

The lass who found the site says that originally the birth certificate itself was published, together with a birth time of 11.33 pm, but by the time I accessed the site this had been removed.

Alice
Here is the birth certificate:

http://www.wargs.com/images/kate001b.pdf

As you can see no time is actually indicated. As a member called Astrea commented at the time:
There's either a piece torn out of the upper left-hand corner of the BC, or something covering up the NHS number; either way, it doesn't look to me like a space for a birthtime.
So we are relying on a time related by an anonymous person who claims the time was on the website link and subsequently removed. Alice McDermot never saw this time on the site but relied on the time the anonymous source claims to have seen on the website. That is all we have to support this proposed time unless of course there is another source corroborating this time.

I am not at all clear why a Hospital would ever bother to remove a time of birth from a birth certificate. Even for a new member of the royal family. A conspiracy to frustrate astrologers? :)

So what does Astrodatabank say? NB: ordering of sources by number is my insertion:

1. PT quotes BBC for date and place ("Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading"), no time (12 noon chart shown here).

2. Marc Penfield reports a birth time of 11:33 PM but when questioned said he had obtained it from another astrologer. The latter astrologer said he saw it on a British website but could not locate the website when questioned about it. This time is therefore considered unreliable until further evidence is shown.

3. Ana Rakovic gave 8:28 PM on AstrologyinSerbia.com website according to Paddy de Jabrun; no source. Rakovic also gave sister Pippa a time of 4:40 AM; again no source.

4. In late November 2011, Pamela Young posted the following on the Astro.com Forum: "Re Kate Middleton's birth time - in the book, "William and Kate: a Royal Love Story," by Christopher Andersen (New York: Gallery Books, 2011) it is stated on page 73:
Although they could not know it at the time, the Middletons took their biggest step toward the top rung of the social ladder on January 9, 1982. That afternoon, Caroline gave birth to blue-eyed Catherine Elizabeth Middleton at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading."
Maybe I am exaggerating the influence of Skyscript but it sounds very much to me as if the astrologer Marc Penfield got his time from may well have spotted this thread on Skyscript ( 'a British site ') and the post by Alice McDermott. Following this time of 11.33 seems to have gone astrologically viral on the internet. As no one has ever come forward to substantiate this time I agree with Astrodatabank that it is not reliable.

The Astrodatabank notes do mention the book by Christopher Anderson which specifically proposes an afternoon time for the birth and I would think that would be a more solid basis to start our enquiries.

However, I would rather not get too deeply into the task of rectifying Kate Middleton's chart on this thread. I have nothing against exploring this but this thread is specifically about the new Prince and his chart for which we all have timed data for!

If anyone wants to discuss Kate Middleton's chart further or propose a rectified time can I request you take the time to open a fresh thread on either the Mundane or General and Nativities forum.

Thanks

Mark

The birth of a healthy baby is surely a time of joy and celebration for any parent and their wider family. In the case of a royal baby the issue takes on a national significance as here in Britain the child will, if the monarchy survives, one day be heir to the throne, King and Head of the State. Hence this birth was heralded with exuberant enthusiasm in many parts of the planet beyond Britain and the Commonwealth in the wider world.

Beyond the pomp and pageantry though the role of the astrologer is not just to wallow in this kind of 'good feel' afterglow but to also use their skills to look at both potential and challenges in a nativity.

With that in mind I am sharing a link to a very interesting post on this royal birth chart put up by Anthony Louis on his blog yesterday. Anthony, raises some concerns about the health of this child based on the primary directions he has run to this nativity.

He particularly focuses on the periods under the age of 10 which he has identified using primary directions.

I confess from first seeing this chart I had a feeling of unease about this nativity. I looked at it with solar arcs but saw similar themes. There is not as much 8th house focus in the WHS chart which I use but Mercury is still Lord 8. Plus unlike Placidus, Mars is lord 6 (illness) in the WHS chart.

However, it seemed a bit to gloom and doom to get into that so soon. I am rather glad Anthony Louis raised these issues publicly and let the genie out of the bottle on this topic regarding these difficult early directions.

end of monarchy?

John Frawley said on facebook that this new baby's chart points to end of Monarchy!!! Can anyone see that? What aspects would point to that? Asc ruler is Mars, 10th sign is Sun and Moon opposes it and enters detriment of Sun.

Mercury is 10th ruler, and it is Void. I'm not sure what aspects suggest end of monarchy...any traditional astrologers, please help!

See , typically traditional and old fashioned isn't he.
Still on facebook.

I guess it is his and traditional astrologer's dislike for Scorpio as ascendant but not on MC :)

I do not think this would be the end of monarchy but if you look at his exalted Jupiter not being consistent with Protestantism, he may dissociate the Monarchy from the head of the Church.

In Jyotish, he seems to have his 10th lord in 9th and 7th lord in 10th, so this dissociation could be due to marriage. He has the worrying Sakata yoga where Jupiter is in 6/8/12 from moon and there is no cancellation. People with Sakata yoga simply run out of luck from time to time and then regain it.

Sakata= Cart and the wheel is elliptical rather than round, so the cart is sometimes high and sometimes low- a bumpy ride in short.

A feeling that I had at the first sight of this chart too, and which should be considered whether being true or not or being confirmed or not judging this chart more thoroughly.
At the first view:
The Sun is in the very last 1 minute and 16 seconds of Cancer (the same sign the father's sun is at the first 6 minutes). The son ending what the father had begun?
The Moon, ruler of the Sun's sign in opposition to him - king and people apart (the father has it in separating conjunction - king and people united, both in applicaton to the dragon's head, POF in his 1st).
Sun in the 8th (father in the 7th).
Mars, lord 1st (and 12th) in the 8th.
Mercury, lord 10th (and 8th) in the 8th.
Jupiter, in his own exaltation and lord of the 2nd and 4th in the 8th. Perhaps the king becomes too expensive and his fortune and properties are confiscated.

With Venus tightly conjunct Regulus in the 9th...?

Because, Regulus is in Virgo- the fall of venus.
The fixed star is moving and Venus has fallen-once again.
