by ModWasp Andrew Any more thoughts on Ivory coast? According to Campion's World Horoscopes book, it has a Taurus ASc and a Leo Sun. To confuse matters further, they also play in Orange gut tells me Taurus. Also, how about Chile? Aries? They play an exciting, attacking game and they're not afraid of putting the boot in either. In the 5 april 1818 chart, they have Sun, Moon, Mercury and Venus all in Aries. Chillies are hot and dry, are they not? Columbia have Sag Sun and Neptune conjunct on the MC - Sag. Quote Sat Jun 07, 2014 9:32 am
by Andrew Bevan My experience with towns, nations and planets alike is that they have a sign for their rulership (natural domain) but also for their exaltation. If you look at the discovery charts for the outer planets you will discover that the sign for their co-rulership is always found on the Meridian (MC or IC), while the sign associated with their exaltation is ALWAYS on the Asc. Regarding Ivory Coast, Taurus is a good shot! Don't bother about the Sun sign. Other things we can check out as we go along. Teams and atheletes often perform better and may even appear invincible when the Moon is in their natural sign. When the Moon was in the opposite sign I even saw examples of where Olympic favourites didn't even make it to the starting line. http://www.astronor.com Quote Sun Jun 08, 2014 10:27 am
by john I've had chance to look at the first games for each of the teams (16 matches in total). On the basis of identifying the favourites, I am at 9 favourite victories, 5 draws and 2 underdog victories!! How close this turns out to be, time will tell. Whether I get the correct draws and shocks in the correct order also remains to be seen. No doubt individual games will be discussed near the kick off times. Quote Sun Jun 08, 2014 7:09 pm

by Janis Valkovskis The World Cup is on the way. According to the bookies Brazil has the best chances to win the tournament outright. They are priced 4/1. They are followed by Argentina 5/1, Spain 7/1, Germany 7.5/1, Belgium 21/1, France 23/1, Italy 26/1, Portugal, Uruguay and England all 29/1, Netherlands 34/1 and Columbia 41/1. Other teams are unlikely to win the tournament. Bookmakers, tipsters and the folk in general agree that Brazil, Germany, Spain and Argentina are supposed to reach the semi finals. Well, we shall see. Many fancy of Brazil ? Argentina final. According to the draw it is possible only if there are no upsets on the road and both teams top their groups or both finish as second (which is quite unlikely). If one of them finishes second, they are supposed to meet in a semi final unless knocked out at an earlier stage. Brazil ? Germany final is possible only if one of them fails to win the group and it is not knocked out at an earlier stage. If they both top the groups or finish second (quite unlikely) and there are no upsets on the road, they are destined to meet in the first semi final. Brazil? Spain final is possible only if both top the groups. If one of them fails, they will meet in the round of 16. Argentina - Germany final is possible only if they both top the groups or finish second (quite unlikely). If one of the fails, they will meet in a quarterfinal unless knocked out earlier. Argentina ? Spain final is possible only if one of the fails to win the group. If both top the groups or finish second (unlikely) and there are no upsets on the road, they could meet in a semi final. Germany ? Spain final is possible only if both tops the groups or finish second. If one fails to top the group, they could meet in a semi final unless knocked out earlier. According to my current modelling, I think that Brazil will meet Germany in the first semi final. Argentina may reach the final if they manages to go trough a semi final (provisionally the game between the winner of the game 55 (most likely Argentina) and the winner of the game 56 (provisionally Portugal which I favour to Belgium), played on July 5, 13:00, Estadio Nacional Brasilia). Well, astrology is supposed to give an edge who will win outright. I will not post the chart but will provide standard details for identifying the chart. The final is due on July 13, 16:00, Maracana 22 S 54 43, 43W 13 49. The game is played on Sunday (Sun); the hour is ruled by Moon. ASC 03 CA 33, MC 22 VI 45, POF 22CA 20, Moon 10AQ 04. The chart is not radical. The luminaries ruling the time are in conflict with the Moon, lady of hour and dispositor of POF being in Aquarius, the sign of the Sun?s detriment. Moreover, they are in aversion (the Moon in the 8th from the Sun) which is an indication for an upset if there is a favourite. However, there might not be a one. We have Capricorn, a southern sign rising. Virgo, a south western sign, is culminating, followed by Libra, a west southern sign. If Brazil reaches the final, the chart, in my opinion, is not very telling that they might win. Apart from Virgo (the sign ruling over Brazil) on MC, there are no other testimonies. Mercury their natural significator is angular but setting. It is direct but slow and void in course (joined to none). MC ruler setting is not descriptive of triumph but rather it is a testimony for an upset. Further, it is debilitated by its dispositor Moon, in the 8th from it, in Aquarius. If we take Sun (yellow shirt) as their significator, we have the same picture. The Sun is in the 7th going to set and debilitated by the Moon, his dispositor and dispositor of POF, being in aversion and detriment of the Sun. The Sun is also debilitated by being in a stake of Mars in Libra (fall of the Sun), the out- of ? sect malefic conjunct North Node due to culminate when the game progresses. Capricorn ASC with its exalted ruler Mars in its stake and about to culminate might be favourable for such teams as Germany (Aries, Mars) or Spain (nicknamed as the Red Fury, Mars). The ruler of hour and dispositor of POF is in Aquarius, a western sign applying by square and by antisca as well to its dispositor retrograde Saturn in Scorpio. Saturn is descriptive of Germany (white/black shirt). If Argentina reaches the final, there is a lot in the chart suggesting that they may capture the trophy. Capricorn, a southern sign is rising. Libra (Argentina) is about to culminate when the game progresses. Moon, the lady of hour and dispositor of POF is in Aquarius, a western sign. Venus (light blue), significator of Argentina, is in Gemini, a west southern sign. Venus is aversion to the rising sign but has a tight square to the MC degree. Its dispositor is retrograde but angular rendering Venus?s light to ASC. Venus is partile trine the North Node in Libra. Both luminaries (the rulers of time) aspect Libra. Jupiter, exalted ruler of POF and lord of the 4th (outcome, end) is in Cancer, the 10th sign from Libra (Argentina). Here is a loose grand trine - Venus, Mars and Moon, all in the airy (western) triplicity. The South ? Western hemisphere dominates in the chart. All considered, my current choice is Argentina however I should review whether they will pass the quarterfinal (the chart is difficult and may indicate to an upset. On the basis of identifying the favourites, I am at 9 favourite victories, 5 draws and 2 underdog victories!! John, I am curious in which games you picked draws and underdog victories. I hope that I will manage to post all group predictions before the tournament. Quote Wed Jun 11, 2014 1:59 pm

For example, have the Netherlands performed any better in Tournaments when Jupiter was going through their sign of Cancer like in this Tournament? If this traditional association has any worth it should surely be a boost for them. I see Amelia has done lots of impressive research on national charts to work out the likely finalists and winner. I dont have the time to look through all the charts but plan to study ingress and lunation charts for all the major contenders. 21 by Janis Valkovskis Group A Brazil - Virgo; Croatia ? Virgo, Mexico - Capricorn, Cameroon ? Leo? June 12, 16:00, Arena de Sao Paolo 23 S 32 46; 46W 28 30 Brazil (yellow shirt - Sun, Mercury) - Croatia (white shirt with red squares, Mercury); odds 1.30 5.25 11.00 ASC 16SA17, MC 02 VI 37, POF 11GE 37, Moon 17SA 06, day Jupiter, hour Mercury. The chart is not radical. Mercury, lord of hour and dispositor of POF, is retrograde, aversion to the rising sign though in the same as Jupiter, L1 and L4. The game is played shortly before the full Moon in Sagittarius. Both luminaries are angular. Moon, dispositor of both Mercury, lord of hour and dispositor of POF, and Jupiter, L1 and L4, is right on ASC. Moon is partile square to Chiron and applying to opposition with the Sun, in the 7th. I feel pretty confident that Brazil will take all 3 points. The question is whether Croatia will score. There is a value in a bet Brazil wins and both to score. June 13, 13:00, Arena das Dunas 05S 49 44, 35W 12 50 Mexico (green shirt - Venus, Saturn) ? Cameroon (yellow shirt - Sun). Odds 2.30 3.10 3.30 ASC 18 LI 53, MC 15CN 21, POF 25AR 39, Moon 29SA 20, day and hour Venus. The chart is radical. Fall degree of the Sun on ASC. POF conjunct (partile) South Node. Moon trines antisca of POF (after crossing signs). When the game progresses, the Moon enters Capricorn (sign associated with Mexico). June 17, 16:00, Estadio Castelao Fortaleza 03S 48 26, 38W 31 21 Brazil (Sun, Mercury) ? Mexico (Venus, Saturn). Odds 1.30 5.50 9.50 ASC 05SA48, MC 00VI 21, POF 09LE 38, Moon 00PI 21, day Mars, hour Mercury. Luminaries are angular. Mercury and Sun (dispositor of POF) are mutually applying. Moon trines antisca of Mercury (separating), trine antisca of Sun (dispositor of POF). Here the clue is the Moon?s ingress in Pisces, the opposite of Virgo. Mexico has always been a tough nut to crack for Brazil, but I believe that they will collect all 3 points. June 18, 18:00, Arena Amazonia 03S 04 59; 60W 01 40 Cameroon (Venus, Sun) ? Croatia (Mercury). Odds 3.80 3.30 2.00 ASC 28SA 30, MC 26VI 45, POF 17 VI 19, Moon 16 PI 24, day Mercury, hour Sun. The chart is radical by the nature with the rising sing. Perhaps, the angularity of the luminaries can save the favourites but the clue, in my opinion, is POF in Virgo (Croatia) receiving an applying opposition from the Moon. Moon is simultaneously applying by trine to retrograde Saturn, out of sect malefic, opposing POF in Virgo and conjunct Chiron. Whether it will be an upset or the game just will draw, makes little difference in the table. In any case Croatia will have to beat Mexico to advance if the game ends draw or Croatia loses. Currently, I will back the upset. June 23, 17:00, Estadio Nacional Brasilia 15S 47, 47W 53 57. Cameroon (Venus) - Brazil (Sun, Mercury). Odds 17.00 6.50 1.22 ASC 21SA 41, MC 12 VI 39, POF 11SC 27, Moon 22TA 01, day Moon, hour Sun. The chart is radical by the nature of the rising sing and triplicity. The Moon applies to Jupiter, L 1, by sextile. 17:00, Arena Pernabuco 08S 02 33, 35W 00 21 Croatia (Mercury) ? Mexico (Venus, Saturn) Odds 2.50 3.45 3.10 ASC 00 CA 22, MC 26VI 37, POF 20SC 08, Moon 22 TA 01, hour Sun. The chart is radical by Saturn, L1, and Sun, lord of hour, being in the same triplicity. I suppose that Capricorn ASC and the Moon being in an earthy southern sign Taurus, should give advantage to Mexico. Saturn, ruler of Capricorn is in the same sign as POF. Mercury?s (Croatia) position in the chart is not strong. I think that Croatia will not advance. Draw satisfies Mexico. Quote Wed Jun 11, 2014 2:58 pm
by Janis Valkovskis Group B Spain (Sagittarius), Netherlands (Cancer), Chile (Sagittarius/Aries), Australia (Sagittarius) June 13, 16:00 Arena Fonte Nova 12S 58 43, 38W 50 15. Spain (Mars, red shirt) ? Netherlands (Sun, orange shirt). Odds 2.00 3.20 4.00 ASC 05SA 13, MC 25 LE 55, POF 13GE 43, Moon 01CA 11, day Venus, hour Saturn. Mars and Sun, the significators are in the same triplicity, ruled by retrograde Saturn in Scorpio. Being in the same triplicity enhances the probability of draw. Sagittarius on ASC and fiery sign Leo on MC should favour Spain. However, the Moon is applying to opposition of Mercury, a double -nature inferior, L 7 and dispositor of POF. I am inclined to back draw rather than Spain. June 13, 18:00, Arena Pantanal Cuiaba 15S 36 11, 56W 07 14 Chile (Mars) ? Australia (Sun). Odds 1.50 4.00 7.00 ASC 02 CA 42, MC 25 VI 39, POF 12CA 56 (partile opposition Pluto), Moon 03CA 02, hour Mars. The chart is not radical unless we count radicality by exaltation. I believe that Capricorn, the exaltation sign of Mars (Chile), rising is good for Chile. The Moon is rising just on ASC. June 18, 13:00, Estadio Beira Rio, 30 S 03 56, 51W 14 10. Australia (Sun) ? Netherlands (Sun, Moon). Odds 11.00 5.25 1.36 ASC 08LI 06, MC 05CA 07, POF 23GE 37, Moon 12 PI 52, day Mercury, hour Venus. The chart is radical. 16:00, Maracana 22S 54 44, 43W 13 49. Spain (Mars) ? Chile (Moon, Mars) Odds 1.75 3.90 5.50 ASC 10SA 09, MC 26 LE 28, POF 27 29, Moon 14 PI 38, hour Jupiter. The chart is radical. The Moon is applying by trine to Saturn, L 4. June 23, 13:00, Arena de Sao Paolo 23S 32 44, 46W 28 24 Netherlands (Sun) ? Chile (Mars) Odds 2.37 3.40 2.87 ASC 20LI 18 (exaltation degree of Saturn), MC 14CN 03, POF 08VI 05, Moon 19TA 54, day Moon, hour Mercury. The chart is not radical. Mars (Chile) is on ASC but Sun (Netherlands) is in superior position (dominates) to Mars in Cancer. Mercury, lord of hour, is connected by antisca with the Sun. Moon who disposes Sun is exalted in Taurus. I am inclined to back Netherlands. 13:00, Arena da Baixada 25 S26 54, 49W 16 37. Australia (Sun) ? Spain (Mars). Odds 17.00 6.50 1.25 ASC 16 LI 59, MC 11CN 27, POF 04 VI 46, Moon 19TA 54, hour Mercury. The chart is not radical but I doubt that it can produce an upset. Well according to my projections, we have Spain and Netherlands with 7 points each. It is hard to tell who will top the group. The goal difference shall be a decisive factor. For our purposes, let assume that Spain will top the group. Quote Wed Jun 11, 2014 3:37 pm
by Janis Valkovskis Group C Columbia - Sagittarius, Greece ? Virgo, Japan ? Aries, Ivory Coast ? Taurus. This is the toughest group for predictions. All teams are relatively equal and there is no pronounced favourite though Columbia is believed to win the group. June 14, 13:00, Estadio Mineirao 19S 51 57, 43 W 58 15 Columbia (Sun/yellow) ? Greece (Moon /white shirt) Odds 1.75 3.60 6.05 ASC 11 LI 28, MC 08CN 10, POF 02 TA 08 (exaltation degree of the Moon), Moon 14CA 11, day and hour is ruled by retrograde Saturn in Scorpio. The chart is radical by triplicity and exaltation. It should favour the favourite. However, the clue, in my opinion, is Mars (out of sect malefic, lord of DSC) not far from ASC. The Moon is besieged by the rays of Mars and Saturn, though is received by both. The Moon is applying to square Uranus and sextile Saturn, her dispositor. I am going for a draw here. I wonder what Mars is doing on ASC. Usually, it is an indication against the home favourite unless Mars is the significator. The same configuration with Mars on ASC and Saturn ruling the hour will repeat in Columbia?s next game against Ivory Coast. 22:00, Arena Pernambuco 08S 02 24, 35W 00 29 Ivory Coast (Sun) - Japan (Jupiter). Odds 2.70 3.20 3.00 ASC 02PI 46, MC 05SA 09, POF 28 VI 40, Moon 19 CA 46, hour Mars. The chart is radical by triplicity. The Moon is applying by trine to Venus, the almuten of ASC. I wonder whether it could be an edge for Ivory Coast, suggested to be under rulership of Taurus. If this association is not correct, the game should end draw. The Moon is applying to cadent Venus. She is neither of the stakes of Sun or Jupiter which may give advantage to one or other team. Jupiter in the stake of Mars may even favour Japan (blue shirt/Jupiter). June 19, 13:00 Estadio Nacional Mane Garrincha 15S 47 01, 47W 53 57 Columbia (Sun) - Ivory Coast (Sun, Venus) Odds 2.00 3.50 4.50 ASC 12 LI 15, MC 09CN 05, POF 10CN 50, Moon 26PI 52, day Jupiter, hour Saturn. The chart is radical by triplicity and exaltation. The clue here is the Moon?s (L 10 and dispositor of POF) application by square to the Sun. 19:00, Arena das Dunas 05S 49 44 35 W 12 50. Japan (Jupiter) ? Greece (Moon, Mercury) Odds 2.55 3.40 3.00 ASC 23 CA 17, MC 24 LI 38, POF 25 LI 04 (conjunct North Node), Moon 00 AR 19, hour Saturn. The chart is radical. The Moon is squaring antisca of Mercury and Sun. Currently I am inclined to support Japan. June 24, 16:00, Arena Pantanal 15S 36 11, 56W 07 14 Japan (Jupiter) ? Columbia (Sun) Odds 4.75 3.60 1.85 ASC 21 SC 47, MC 19 LE 18, POF 00SC 44, Moon 04 GE 08, day Mars, hour Venus. The chart is radical by the nature of Venus with the rising sign Scorpio (wet and cold), yet this type or radicality is hard. Both Jupiter and Sun are in the same sign but their dispositor is in Gemini, a west southern sign. The Moon is applying to square Neptune but I doubt it will have any impact on the game. 17:00, Estadio Castelao 03S 48 26; 38W 31 21. Greece (Moon, Mercury) ? Ivory Coast (Sun). Odds 3.30 3.35 2.40 ASC 26SA 20, MC 23 VI 52, POF 27 SC 47, Moon 04 GE 08. Hour Moon. The Moon in Gemini, a sign ruled by Mercury, should be a good indication for Virgo ruled Greece. However, I see that Sun (Ivory Coast) casts a close antisca to the cusp of DSC. He is in the same sign as Jupiter, L 1 and L 4. I will back the marginal favourite. Quote Wed Jun 11, 2014 4:42 pm
