Any more thoughts on Ivory coast? According to Campion's World Horoscopes book, it has a Taurus ASc and a Leo Sun. To confuse matters further, they also play in Orange gut tells me Taurus.

Also, how about Chile? Aries? They play an exciting, attacking game and they're not afraid of putting the boot in either.In the 5 april 1818 chart, they have Sun, Moon, Mercury and Venus all in Aries. Chillies are hot and dry, are they not?

Columbia have Sag Sun and Neptune conjunct on the MC - Sag.

My experience with towns, nations and planets alike is that they have a sign for their rulership (natural domain) but also for their exaltation. If you look at the discovery charts for the outer planets you will discover that the sign for their co-rulership is always found on the Meridian (MC or IC), while the sign associated with their exaltation is ALWAYS on the Asc.

Regarding Ivory Coast, Taurus is a good shot! Don't bother about the Sun sign. Other things we can check out as we go along.

Teams and atheletes often perform better and may even appear invincible when the Moon is in their natural sign. When the Moon was in the opposite sign I even saw examples of where Olympic favourites didn't even make it to the starting line.

I've had chance to look at the first games for each of the teams (16 matches in total).

On the basis of identifying the favourites, I am at 9 favourite victories, 5 draws and 2 underdog victories!!

How close this turns out to be, time will tell. Whether I get the correct draws and shocks in the correct order also remains to be seen. No doubt individual games will be discussed near the kick off times.

The World Cup is on the way. According to the bookies Brazil has the best chances to win the tournament outright. They are priced 4/1. They are followed by Argentina 5/1, Spain 7/1, Germany 7.5/1, Belgium 21/1, France 23/1, Italy 26/1, Portugal, Uruguay and England all 29/1, Netherlands 34/1 and Columbia 41/1. Other teams are unlikely to win the tournament.

Bookmakers, tipsters and the folk in general agree that Brazil, Germany, Spain and Argentina are supposed to reach the semi finals. Well, we shall see.

Many fancy of Brazil ? Argentina final. According to the draw it is possible only if there are no upsets on the road and both teams top their groups or both finish as second (which is quite unlikely). If one of them finishes second, they are supposed to meet in a semi final unless knocked out at an earlier stage.

Brazil ? Germany final is possible only if one of them fails to win the group and it is not knocked out at an earlier stage. If they both top the groups or finish second (quite unlikely) and there are no upsets on the road, they are destined to meet in the first semi final.

Brazil? Spain final is possible only if both top the groups. If one of them fails, they will meet in the round of 16.

Argentina - Germany final is possible only if they both top the groups or finish second (quite unlikely). If one of the fails, they will meet in a quarterfinal unless knocked out earlier.

Argentina ? Spain final is possible only if one of the fails to win the group. If both top the groups or finish second (unlikely) and there are no upsets on the road, they could meet in a semi final.

According to my current modelling, I think that Brazil will meet Germany in the first semi final. Argentina may reach the final if they manages to go trough a semi final (provisionally the game between the winner of the game 55 (most likely Argentina) and the winner of the game 56 (provisionally Portugal which I favour to Belgium), played on July 5, 13:00, Estadio Nacional Brasilia).

Well, astrology is supposed to give an edge who will win outright. I will not post the chart but will provide standard details for identifying the chart.

The final is due on July 13, 16:00, Maracana 22 S 54 43, 43W 13 49. The game is played on Sunday (Sun); the hour is ruled by Moon.

The chart is not radical. The luminaries ruling the time are in conflict with the Moon, lady of hour and dispositor of POF being in Aquarius, the sign of the Sun?s detriment. Moreover, they are in aversion (the Moon in the 8th from the Sun) which is an indication for an upset if there is a favourite. However, there might not be a one.

We have Capricorn, a southern sign rising. Virgo, a south western sign, is culminating, followed by Libra, a west southern sign.

If Brazil reaches the final, the chart, in my opinion, is not very telling that they might win. Apart from Virgo (the sign ruling over Brazil) on MC, there are no other testimonies. Mercury their natural significator is angular but setting. It is direct but slow and void in course (joined to none). MC ruler setting is not descriptive of triumph but rather it is a testimony for an upset. Further, it is debilitated by its dispositor Moon, in the 8th from it, in Aquarius. If we take Sun (yellow shirt) as their significator, we have the same picture. The Sun is in the 7th going to set and debilitated by the Moon, his dispositor and dispositor of POF, being in aversion and detriment of the Sun. The Sun is also debilitated by being in a stake of Mars in Libra (fall of the Sun), the out- of ? sect malefic conjunct North Node due to culminate when the game progresses.

Capricorn ASC with its exalted ruler Mars in its stake and about to culminate might be favourable for such teams as Germany (Aries, Mars) or Spain (nicknamed as the Red Fury, Mars).

The ruler of hour and dispositor of POF is in Aquarius, a western sign applying by square and by antisca as well to its dispositor retrograde Saturn in Scorpio. Saturn is descriptive of Germany (white/black shirt).

If Argentina reaches the final, there is a lot in the chart suggesting that they may capture the trophy. Capricorn, a southern sign is rising. Libra (Argentina) is about to culminate when the game progresses. Moon, the lady of hour and dispositor of POF is in Aquarius, a western sign. Venus (light blue), significator of Argentina, is in Gemini, a west southern sign. Venus is aversion to the rising sign but has a tight square to the MC degree. All considered, my current choice is Argentina however I should review whether they will pass the quarterfinal (the chart is difficult and may indicate to an upset.

What about longer term trends like Jupiter through the signs? For example, have the Netherlands performed any better in Tournaments when Jupiter was going through their sign of Cancer like in this Tournament? If this traditional association has any worth it should surely be a boost for them.

I see Amelia has done lots of impressive research on national charts to work out the likely finalists and winner. I dont have the time to look through all the charts but plan to study ingress and lunation charts for all the major contenders.

I feel pretty confident that Brazil will take all 3 points. The question is whether Croatia will score. There is a value in a bet Brazil wins and both to score.

Whether it will be an upset or the game just will draw, makes little difference in the table. In any case Croatia will have to beat Mexico to advance if the game ends draw or Croatia loses. Currently, I will back the upset.
