I have a slightly different asc degree from James but we are both in terms of Venus so let us not quibble

The Moon is angular but only just coming out of eclipse but in in domain of Mars who is dignified and also in the same house so I suggest that he is Lord of the year. Certainly fighting for the land seems to be the theme for the start of the year

There is an interesting trine in the fire signs. Saturn and Jupiter are in sect but both retrograde. Saturn the exaltation of the Emperor in the 12th house (or 1st Whole sign) is not good but the Moon applies away from him to Jupiter in the 8th - the sign of other people's money.

Lastly Venus in in her joy in the fifth house of diplomacy suggesting some goodwill could prevail

At present Greece has made another offer but there is no final decision as different European countries have different attitudes about whether they trust this offer or have whether they have lost patience with all this prevarication

That will do for now

thanks for posting the 2015 aries ingress chart to athens matthew..
i can't remember if i mentioned some of the parallels with moscows 2015 aries ingress chart and the issue of financial difficulties implied by the 2nd house ruler saturn falling away from the ascendant and retro? then there is the moon on an angle - ruler of the 8th - still under the beams of the sun.. neither the 2nd or 8th house ruler looks favourable.. additionally pluto in the 2nd looks like more kleptomania from the usual suspects!

I've been experimenting with the solar return of 1974 chart coming up on 24 July, and with directing the Asc through the bounds. Experimental as in I'm not sure I've seen a solar return chart for a mundane chart.

Upcoming SR chart puts radix Asc in the 2nd whole sign house of the SR chart, so finances are highlighted. This is linked to isolation because the SR Asc is in the radix 12th house, in Gemini, so the root of the financial concern is from being torn in two directions.

The radix natal Asc directed to the Leo/Saturn bound in 2008. Saturn in radix is in detriment on the Asc and Leo is the 2nd house so bad financially and marks the start of Greece's problems during the 2008 crash.

Directing the solar return Asc at 15 Gemini brings it any day now or in very approx. 2-3 months using ascensional times of Gemini to the anticsia of the radix Saturn/Mercury on Asc which also end up landing in the 12th house. An exit from the Euro could be a 12th house isolating event and Mercury in domicile in anticsia there the currency and trade. Not sure if that is good or bad I think Firmicus said Mercury joys in the 12th.

Directed Jupiter comes to square Sun later this year. In solar return Jupiter is in same 2nd whole sign as Sun, and is on radix Mars. Mars is in fall in return chart on radix Asc, near radix Saturn in detriment , in SR 2nd house. Commentators have noted the deteriorating conditions being like a war with no fighting. Maybe because Mars is money in the radix this is an economy in free-fall.

The solar chart MC lands in the radix 8th house, so maybe a resignation or end to current government, the Moon applies to square the Sun so maybe whatever Tsipras does will be unpopular.

They say it was close but deal reached with creditors after 17 hours negotiations

Francois Hollande said " We would have deprived ourselves of a country that is at the heart of our civilisation, a part of our culture...."

if the ascendant is in a mutable sign do we not have to do thisagain for the Libra equinox ?

I hereby give two charts. The first one is Tsipras inauguration chart along with today's coup transits.. Watch out Pluto in the natal chart and how tightly today's Mars-Pluto opposition fits the ASC-DC axis! Note also the similarities to Metapolitefsi chart, back in 1974.
It totally confirms my original assumption that Mars + Mercury + Pluto in cardinal signs is a lethal combination.

Greece now turned to an official EU colony, pretexts no longer of use..

hi geo,

i was given 203pm as the time of inauguration for tsipras.. i see you are using 340pm in the first chart above... can we get some type of confirmation on just what it is? my time was gotten from marjorie orr - an astrologer into mundane astrology.

the ascendant axis in your 2nd chart is very close to the same as the one i have for the european central bank which i have shared on a different thread..

Hi James. What kind of confirmation are you talking about? I can personally assure you on this, I ve been following the events since the very beginning. Tsipras made his oath as Greece's prime minister on Monday 26th January, at Athens, 3:40 pm. I can always refer you to greek newspapers, if you can manage with the greek language.

I would also like to add that Tsipras himself was born 4 days after Metapolitefsi, 28th June 1974. Strange astro-cycles of fate.

marjories response :
Tsipras sworn in From: Marjorie. (14 Jul 2015 12:48):
Tsipras was sworn in acc to Guardian at 2.03 pm GMT which would make it 4pm-ish Greek time. So only 20 mins out. Another site has just after 3.30pm Greece time. Other sites have him meeting the Gk President at 3.30pm and being sworn in at 4pm. So 4.03pm sounds about right (2.03 pm GMT).

i missed the gmt and thought 203pm was local..
