But the "feel" of the chart says she survived. :-?

(By the way Yazuru, the last sentence of my first post is a technical term the dictionary won't help you with. It means "I am bemused by my own inadequacies" :D )

Some things

and Y is so anxious for a response I?m feeling guilty for taking so long.
Of course you don?t have to worry about my "anxiety" :D
I just thought people would like an fare exercise... the only way we can learn is by predicting. Today I predicted the Arsenal would beat the Manchester, and I am very glad I did it right. Of course it may be just coincidence, but as Frawley?s said:
Q: (...) In that, you're saying that it's possible to live from predicting the results of football matches. Is that something you mean, literally?

A: (...)It's certainly very possible. And it's a very good way of honing your astrology because you're predicting events, and you get the results very quickly. It's not like predicting who is going to win the next general election in five years time. And you get a very clear, unarguable answer.
So I just think you are brave to make an public assumption and maybe get it right, maybe wrong, but hopefully having fun :P

Returning to the question: I usually use the 7th as the kidnapper, as an enemy, what do you think ? Because not always the kidnapper is someone the person knows, a hidden enemy... but in all my kidnapping
charts, the 12th is always "wake up"

I liked your delineation very much. Better than mine at least.

I will NOT say if you get it right, but my first hint: she was found (death or alive !) 21 days later, close shot !

Good for you!
So I just think you are brave to make an public assumption and maybe get it right, maybe wrong, but hopefully having fun
:lala No . . . not brave. I need the practice on things not of my own choosing and I had said I would do it. So I guess I just had to be first. At least I hope that we'll get some other opinions. It was a very interesting question to do though. Thanks for the idea.
Returning to the question: I usually use the 7th as the kidnapper, as an enemy, what do you think ? Because not always the kidnapper is someone the person knows,
I chose the 12th because I thought whether the victim knows the kidnapper or not, they will (usually) be unaware of their intent until the act. So for that reason I chose the 12th. Even if the victim knew the perpetrator, their real (harmful) intention is hidden, therefore hidden enemy pretending to be friendly. My reasoning anyway.
I will NOT say if you get it right, but my first hint: she was found (death or alive !) 21 days later, close shot !
Good on all counts! :brows Give it a day or two. 8)

Typo = Mercury is in 5 not 4 and I forgot to say in Mars' triplicity and term and its own detriment and fall

A bit more . . .

Saturn is conjunct Castor 28' . . .murder most foul . . . uh-oh things are not looking good for our girl . . .

So where was she found? Asc says East ruled by Jupiter in Saturn's exhaltation cold, dry, earthy. The Chaldean order gives Saturn to the 1st house! Moon's conjunct giving cold and moist.

Natural 4th says North and gives land, tillages, tillages of the earth and hidden treasures and the colour red and the Sun. The sun placed here is in its fall also. Its beginning to look as though the police were successful in finding here - but not alive. Aquarius ruled by Saturn, cold dry earthy again.

Deb's book quotes Olivia Barclay as taking the 4th from the 12th for the end of that matter = natural 3rd, NNE and Capricorn ruled by Saturn again. Chaldean order again gives Mars and red and small journeys.

Note also that Jupiter is in Mercury's house, triplicity and term - giving temporarily cold and moist, gardens. Jupiter is in Saturn's exhaltation.

I think she was killed, buried and found by the police NE and not far (5 miles?) from where she was taken.

Location

18
Very good ! She was found around 11-14 km of her city (around 5 miles)
The directions are a little mistaken... she was found in the SE direction.
About the terrain I unfortunately don?t have the information for comparation purposes... All I know is she was in a farm, near a small city.

A little mistaken? . . .you are ever the optomist Y, I'd say it was mostly in the other direction :D

However I do see where I should have looked - having decided she was "hidden treasure" I should have looked to see where Mars (12 ESE) hid - the reason for using 12 not 2 - the "treasure" Jupiter (11 SSE). What do you think?

5 miles I took to be the distance between the Mars-Sun sextile. I didn't think it was going to be 5 yards so 5 miles it was. Had she been buried? Who found her?

The Final Answer !

As promised, the answers !

The kidnapped was Marcela Medeiros, a brasilian student, 19 yrs old, who worked in a shop. After college, she was kidnapped while walking home. She studied journalism and lived nearby.

There were no rescue asked. She get in contact by an cell phone in the next day, saying she "was lost in a field of weeds" but the call dropped.

Her body was found in a farm around 11-14 km of distance, in direction SE, by an man. The body was already decomposing. She was pretty, the credit cards were not used, and there are no official suspects. The cause of death was not disclosured because the investigations are under secrecy.

Oh dear! Looks like I got just about everything wrong.
Weeeell - maybe I could be awarded a "tries hard" elephant stamp instead of a star?

I decided in favour of Mars and Saturn - cold, earthy, moist - over the hot, dry & airy of Jupiter when I had to decide above or below ground. The Sun obviously represented the man instead of authority/police.

A couple of things though. I said:
So I guess even with all Venus? strength the combustion worked and she died and the kidnapper was caught - Mars sextile Sun OR Sun conjunct Fortuna by 26? saved her.
No-one corrected me for saying Fortuna might have saved her. Yet I've just started The Real Astrology Applied and the 2nd para on p.19 says "Finally, Fortuna (0 Libra 58 ) is combust and its dispositor in its detriment." I didn't know a point could be combust.
Something else I found in the "intercepted signs" thread:
Tom
As an FYI, Lilly makes reference to using the ruler of the intercepted sign as a co-ruler of the house. (...) There are times, I suppose, where the co-ruler might come in handy, but in cases like that the house ruler is usually off doing something else.

Deb
And of course some people do place an interpretative significance upon intercepted signs ? I think one modern theory is that they represent circumstances that are trapped or prevent full uninhibited expression. I?m not sure about that and there?s certainly enough ways to see that condition if it exists so they don?t mean much to me.
That rings true for the girl's Jupiter signifier.

So I think it's back to receptions for me. :?
I also found Tom's "missing woman" thread Monday night and ran it off, that might have helped but I haven't had time to read it.

I dont think so !

22
I think you went very well ! You discovered she was dead, the mediun distance, and almost got the direction. We don?t know how is the land to compare, so she might have been found half-covered by dirt and we don`t know.

A box of chocolates to you
I will send them in the attachment

I usually consider the intercepted sign... in some ocasions it were really important.
I also never have heard of a point being combust, I don?t think this is much "traditional" because combustion had a meaning of not-visible, and of course an arabic lot is never visible.

Thanks for playing along sumgem, hope it was fun :o
Cheers
