I had excellent transits for winning an Oscar in 2018, but unfortunately, I failed to make a film.
Ah! Ah! But you still got your 15 seconds fame with the Miller TV sponsor ad!

Post edit: Just found out that Saragamine is conjunct my Mars in Sag on the cusp of the 5th. And Sarah is my daughter's name and 'gamine' in French means 'little girl'. How sweet!
Blessings!

Really amazing findings, annadeer and Alex.

But here's the quandary. I'm pretty sure asteroid Nobel would have pinged something important in everyone's chart as it orbits around the sun, so how come so few people get a Nobel prize?

I'm not being facetious here, because to me the question is why these tiny tots of the solar system should work when they produce amazing results. Presumably a Nobel prize winner is a leader in one of the fields for which prizes are given. There should be other chart factors for that, whether explained by the horoscope "majors" or "minors."

Another question mark for me is to what extent language or something as basic as the structure of knowledge is at work. Correct me if I'm mistaken, but I think the asteroid names show a strong slant towards western mythology, and astronomers' and their family members' names.

Does this naming bias structure how things can happen to people if asteroids have such strong explanatory power?

Suppose there had been no asteroid named "Nobel." What then?

In my view, astrological charts are "holographic" in nature. By this I mean that important features are presenting themselves in more than one way in any given chart. Thus, the major players may indeed set the overall theme, while minor factors (such as asteroids, especially the smaller ones) put a more specific spin on it. Talk about synchronicity... I see no contradiction there at all if one assumes that diverse but mutually consistent elements are exerting their influences at once.

It would be interesting to investigate what was going on in terms of transits, primary and secondary directions, and what-have-you at the same time scientist X got a Nobel prize - in order to get a more complete picture.

Not all of the latter are western, though! To illustrate, my wife is of Japanese origin. Asteroids bearing her first name and her maiden name are flanking my Sun and my Venus respectively - both 4 degrees away from those celestial bodies, on either side.

Whereas in her natal chart, "Michel" is exactly conjunct her Moon. And on top of that, two asteroids representing her first name and maiden name are in exact conjunction with each other in her 4th house (family, origin)!

But there is! :)

Ouranos, isn't that sweet and crazy!

Waybread, I want to know too! Especially why Brad Pitt didn't show up at my place when asteroid Bradpitt entered my 5th and Jupiter transited my natal Bradpitt! I'm sure quantum physics can explain it. Maybe it's all happening in an alternate dimension. And amen to everything Michel says.

This kept me awake last night:

Other than asteroid Koronis, 'discovered' by Alex Miller there is an asteroid Korhonen (2988). There also happens to be an asteroid Labs.

November 20, 2019, when the first covid case was reported in China, Korhonen was conjunct Wuhan conjunct Labs conjunct Apollo (God of plagues) 6-12 Sagittarius -- the degrees hit by the November 2020 eclipse (Delta onset) and by the May and December 2021 eclipses.

January 12, 2020, when Covid reached the West, Korhonen was conjunct Wuhan conjunct Pholus (representing Pandora box situation) conjunct Ixion (evil King) conjunct Apollo (god of plagues) conjunct labs square Chiron (wounded healer), in the early degrees of Capricorn, where the December 2019 eclipse took place.

Annadeer,
You are a true child of asteroids!
You must have something in your chart connected with Alex or Miller.
As for Bradpitt, he has so many asteroids to satisfy. Please take a number!
Blessings!

Ouranos :lala ok will take a number :lala

I just checked, my natal Miller is conjunct my natal POF. My natal Ourinhos and natal Deborah are conjunct my natal Ascendant (27 Virgo), together with my natal Astrowizard/ Paracelsus. 8)

In my current lunar return both Alex and Miller are conjunct my LR Ascendant.

And Asteroidday has been transiting over my Ascendant since the beginning of December, when my Ettore Majorana study launched me off in this rabbit hole. A detail: I got interested in Ettore Majorana because a friend of a friend, called Angelo, is preparing a documentary about him. Of course Angelo is currently transiting my Ascendant too :P

Waybread, I gave up trying to figure out how this works years ago. It just does. To me, it's indisputable. I don't understand how gravity works, either. Science has focused on things like that, but not on things like astrology - if they did, maybe we'd have an answer.

As to the mechanics of it, as in your query about why some get the Nobel and others don't, the first factor to consider is opportunity. Obviously, not everyone is going to get a Nobel prize, if your pool is all of humanity. Similarly if Mars and Pluto come together, you won't contract prostate cancer, if you're female. You have to be 'in the running' for the manifestation, for it to occur.

If by 'everyone' and the Nobel, you just meant 'all physicists', then I liken it to a lock. A lock has tumblers, and all of them have to be triggered before the lock opens and you get what's inside. So applicable natal planetary placements are one tumbler, planetary transits are another; natal asteroid placements are another, as are transiting asteroids. You don't get the Nobel prize unless all the tumblers are triggered at once, and the lock opens.

To me, asteroids go a long way to explaining why planetary outcomes can be so diverse among those similarly affected. They "fine tune" the manifestation from a general arena to one more specific. The thing with planets, however, is that they generally govern a lot more areas than smaller bodies, so if you don't get a sibling or neighbor manifestation from a Mercury hit, you'll get a car/transportation one, or a pet one, or an educational one, etc.

Asteroids don't stretch that far, but to continue to use your Nobel example, we might find that it broadens to 'awards' in general. Maybe someone with a strong Nobel wins a different kind of award, on a much less publicized level. Doesn't have to be in a Nobel category, could be any recognition for excellence or peak performance. It can also indicate interaction with someone of the name Nobel, or something similar. It might refer to acting in a "noble" manner. Does the word mean anything in another language? If so, that's another area to consider. Maybe all you get, depending on your preparedness, is hearing a Jeopardy! question about a Nobel winner!

Not everyone who gets a planetary hit will have a memorable manifestation, either. It just doesn't work that way. But don't ask me why. :D

Michael, great job in explaining! I like the hologram idea, it resonates for me as well.

And while it's true that asteroids have a strong Western bias, they do work for names from other cultures, as you illustrated. We just have to hope that broader representation is coming. There's estimated to be 1.9 million of these suckers, and we've only named 22,000, so there's room to grow! :)

Anna, good work with those virus asteroids! I saw Korhonen when I began my research, but opted for Koronis as closer to 'coronavirus.' I didn't test both, as Korhonen is phonetically much farther afield, and I'm trying to validate this work with the closest matches I can find.

But your results are fascinating. And I'm kicking myself that I didn't think to include Labs, of which I was already aware. Well, nobody's perfect!

And how lucky for me that I appeared on your Lunar Return Ascendant this month, and you reached out to me. Anna is on my Descendant, with Urania, so I guess relating via astrology was fated for us! :D

If the Seven Dwarfs are represented by the seven major TNOs (as Astrolog software designer and fellow Skyscribe Walter Pullen says), then it stands to reason that Snow White would correspond to Pluto!

Here's my take on what Plutonian Snow White ought to look like.

Image

Should she rather be called Snow Black, though?

Now I am contemplating whether there might be a link between Snow White and Pluto's wife Proserpina... :???:

You are opening an interesting mousetrap Michael.
Don't forget there is also Trans-Pluto, that is after the surgery!

:D
Blessings!
