by Ficina Thanks for your interesting betting strategies, Andrew. I had a look at the charts for the games you mentioned but since most of them are very similar they are probably of no value. If there are any surprise results I will comment later but hopefully, from your point of view, there won't be any! I notice the the Moon is exactly conjunct the Moon's South node at 13LE15. Golly, my natal Sun is 13LE221... What to do? Use the True Node rather than the Mean Node? True SN is at 12?35' Leo Quote Tue Nov 18, 2008 2:06 pm
by Gem Re Northampton-Leeds ( well done Ficina!) I had Moon as the hour ruler, rendering the chart radical. The Moon as LOA and LOH on the AC in her own fertile sign... a bumper crop of goals! I don't think I have confidence to play multiples but read Andrew's betting starategies with much interest. A) Torquay - Lewes Odds: 1,27 5,00 8,00 ------------------------------------------------------------------ 1) Oldham - Cheltenham Odds: 1,50 3,60 6,00 2) Rochdale - Barnet Odds: 1,60 3,50 5,00 3) Droyslden - Darlington Odds: 4,00 3,40 1,75 The Torquay game seems to be this evenings safest bet, so by reason I will use this game in combination with the other games in a series of three duplets. Put ?2 on each of the duplet combinations A1) Odds: 1,90 A2) Odds: 2,03 A3) Odds: 2.22 - total?6. How do you work out the odds for combination bets, A1, A2 and A3 here? And lastly Germany-England As Andrew pointed out the Moon and the main sigs(L1 and L7) all cast their antiscia at meanigful looking places. Since the Moon( hour ruler) is in the sign of the AC, won't it favour the AC(Germany)? Quote Tue Nov 18, 2008 6:50 pm
by Andrew Bevan Thank you Gem! that makes me feel the example was worth while. Plus I hope it actually works out in a favourable manner later this evening. Multiple bet: A) Torquay, Odds 1,27 + 1) Oldham, Odds 1,50 A1 = A x 1 = 1,27 x 1,50 = 1,90 http://www.astronor.com Quote Tue Nov 18, 2008 7:17 pm
by Andrew Bevan Moon conj SN - a sort of 'underdog' kinda day. Torquay delivered, but none of the other teams 1) 2) or 3) managed to secure victory after 90 min. Peterborough bye, bye, Oxford and Rochdale needed 120 min. This releases a worst kind of scenario. A loss of ?8,- Oh well, take this as an exercise... Littlle astrology involved. Impossible to predict (same times). http://www.astronor.com Quote Tue Nov 18, 2008 9:54 pm
by Andrew Bevan There is a lot of work involved with all these International matches Wednesday evening. There is no point in all of us doing the same job all over. I think I'll just submit my notes and then we can discuss the odds and ends during the day. I think the clue to getting somewhere is being able to put 3-4 matches in a comibintion at a decent price. Frendlies Wednesday Nov 19. 2008 Malta ? Iceland, 14.30 CET, 35N52 14E26 Odds: 4,60 3,65 1,67 Asc 9AR18 MC 5CP24 Moon 23LE24 POF 5CP07 Played on the Day of Mercury in the Hour of Saturn. Saturn is L10 and casts his antiscia to the ascendant. Iceland are favourites. Venus, L7, is in the 10th. POF is conjunct the MC. Considering that the chart is not radical and the Lord of the hour and 10th casts his antiscia to the ascendant, this might cast favour to the home team, who are the underdogs. Mixed testimonies suggest a draw? Iceland are a better team? But probably bankrupt and without boots? Montenegro ? Makedonia, 17.30 CET, 42N26, 19E16 Odds: 2,00 3,25 3,65 Asc 19GE37 MC 23AQ31 Moon 25LE06 POF 17PI00 Played in the hour of Venus. Not radical. Jupiter, L7, applies to Saturn, L10 by trine. The Moon opposes the MC. Surely the underdogs get it? Serbia ? Bulgaria, 17.30 CET, 44N50, 20E27 Odds: 1,95 3,35 3,85 Asc 22GE56 MC 24AQ44 Moon 25LE06 POF 20PI19 Hour of Venus. Not radical. Saturn 20VI12, L10, opp POF Even more obvious than in the Montenegro game? But need the games perform in a similar fashion? Ukraine ? Norway, 19.00 CET, 50N27, 30E31 Odds: 1,85 3,40 4,25 Asc 25CN27 MC 29PI37 Moon 25LE57 POF 23AR37 Game starts in the hour of the Moon. Radical. Moon applies to dispositor. Saturn, L7 is cadent. Norway haven't won anything this year. Home win or draw? South Africa ? 126 by Andrew Bevan A few matches went the wrong way this evening for reasons I cannot explain at the moment, but I have a quadruple with a fiver on it with Ukraine beating Norway, England beating Germany, Egypt beating Benin and Spain beating Chile. Total odds: 12:1. Ukraine - Norway 1-0 Egypt - Benin 5-1 Germany - England 1-2 Spain - Chile 3-0 England beating Germany! Surely that was the most important match! Looking down the list - quite a lot of games took the bookmakers by suprize : South Africa - Cameroon 3-2 Denmark - Wales 0-1 Greece - Italy 1-1 Luxembourg - Belgium 1-1 France - Uruguay 0-0 Ireland - Poland 2-3 http://www.astronor.com Quote Wed Nov 19, 2008 9:49 pm
by Ficina Hooray for England! I was very impressed with the way they played tonight. I backed them to win in a combined bet with Bulgaria unfortunately. Not sure what went wrong there, although they did manage to score one goal with Moon aspecting L4. Quote Wed Nov 19, 2008 11:24 pm
by SusieN South Africa ? Cameroon, 19.30 CET, Johannesburg Odds: 3,00 3,20 2,25 Asc 23GE06 MC 5AR08 Moon 25LE14 POF 21PI31 Game starts in hour of Mercury. Radical. Mercury combust. No clear indications. This combust scenario is not quite as clear-cut as I thought.....I actually thought that Bafana Bafana (the S.A team) would literally go down in flames..... And with alot of the sigs this weekend either Mars or Mercury combust, I'm scratching my head...... Well done for England!! Quote Thu Nov 20, 2008 6:42 am

by Ficina I've said before that I've observed that combustion doesn't appear to be harmful in these charts unless the combust planet is also retrograde. We've also noted recently that when hour ruler is Asc ruler (rendering the chart radical) this can also help the home team when they are underdogs, often producing a draw, depending on other testimonies of course. The only other testimony I can see in the SA/Cameroon chart is Venus (L4) square antiscion POF - a negative for the away team. I would normally consider this to be a very minor testimony but for lack of any others, perhaps it was enough to give the victory to SA. With a scoreline of 3-2 it was obviously a very close game. We had this same minor testimony in the Germany/England chart. Although antiscion Saturn (L7) conj MC was a very strong testimony on its own for England, I noted that Sun (L1) was square antiscion POF. So in this game it was just a supporting testimony but it's something to keep an eye on I think. Quote Thu Nov 20, 2008 11:09 am
by ciuboda Hi to all, I've been not so active lately because I was re-thinking my approach for astro-statistics. Too many variables and influences and I got very confused Now I'm trying to keep it simple by focusing only on Moon position in sign related to each team statistics. Also focusing more on no of goals scored and score differences. Last week I've got some success with this approach and now I'm trying to repeate it. Here is my overview for this weekend where Moon is in Libra in first 10th degrees: Chelsea-Newcastle: Chelsea wins with possible scores 5-2,3-0,2-1 or 4-3. Basically we should have many goals. Liverpool-Fulham: same as above game. Liv will win and many goals scored. We can assist to something like 5-2,6-1,5-1 or 4-1. M.City- Arsenal: hard game and I was not able to decide who will win. My opinion that we will have a close score. Basically I will go for a draw (0-0) or a 1-0 victory for one of the teams. Middles. - Bolton I suggest a Middl. victory with a possible 3-2 score. A.Villa - Manchester U. Another tight score but with many goals. My first option will be a draw (2-2) but I'm not eliminating the chance of the A.Villa win (3-2). This are the games for each I have some statistics to rely on. We shall see. Dan Living Astrology Blog Quote Thu Nov 20, 2008 7:08 pm
by Andrew Bevan Although it is the Bluesquare, I noted your observations on Mercury L4 trine the MC favouring the awayteam, Ficina. Crawley - Ebbsfleet Utd, 19.45 GMT is the only game being played this eveing. Noting also that Jupiter, L10, perfects his trine to Saturn, L7, within the next 24 hour I thought that ws two testimonies in favour of the awayteam, Ebbsfleet, who are underdogs. Mars is lord of hour and rules the ascendant by triplicity, but has his exaltation on the cusp of the 7th. Odds: 3,65 http://www.astronor.com Quote Thu Nov 20, 2008 7:24 pm
