@ Abraham I did bet behind Belgium based on Pluto about to conjunct the IC 5 degrees success home for the DSC and thats a big blow to the DSC. I dont know if my testimony is quiet right but that was my take and i believe that paid off for me.

@jventura With Pluto retro about to conjunct AC . not quiet sure but i believe it will be a big blow to the ASC.

The Chart of South Korea vs Algeria has some similarities with the USA vs Portugal chart. and the south Korea lost the match. But with their chat Ploto was far from AC to make any significant. To use the Color method, i believe its crucial to check that with the USA vs Portugal match regarding the jersey colors they might also wear. Im sure USA will be in their home white and Portugal will be in Red. I'm not sure how the match goes but i feel Portugal might be the ASC. Other methods might prove this wrong. But we just have to wait and see how the game rolls.

Regarding USA vs Portugal, the USA did the kick-off, so I assigned the Asc to USA and the Desc to Portugal. Portugal did score 1 goal at the 1st half, but the USA scored 2 goals on the 2nd half. Just before the end of the extra time, Portugal scored another goal, ending the game with a draw of 2-2.

No team was far superior to the other, as the differences of essential dignities could suggest, although in my opinion, the Portuguese team was less efficient than the US team. So I maintain the view that the accidental dignities must be carefully weighted when doing predictions on football matches.

Following that observation, I did suggest at my previous post that the game could be "balanced" or even a draw, because of both rulers were on similarly equal accidental conditions. If the essential dignities were of much value, one of the teams would surely dominate the other, since there was a difference of 8 score points..

So the final result was indeed a draw, and I've lost 10? by betting on Portugal.. Draws are really hard to hit! :)

@Jventra draws are hard to get in my chart i predicted draw as moon had no major apect with the planet when usa scored 2-1 it was due to the opposition of fortuna to moon(only aspect to moon) but due to the planetry dignities of asc it turned out draw initially i waited to see if there was any chance for draw at the second half 1-1 before i placed my bet although draw game are hard to predict better luck next time :'

@myler pluto is said to be destructive as i read in an astrological analysis of pluto in sport prediction. so when placed or when seat on a house cups,it give no good result like the case nigeria vs bosnia pluto relaxed itself on the ASC causing bosnia to loose to nigeria so i dont really think pluto on ASC/DSC axis is a good testimony especially when uranus also seat on IC/MC it causes a chain reaction causing more goal usually from the underdog team

Hi abraham,

in the chart I've posted in one of my previous posts, Pars Fortuna is in the 2nd, although it could be in the 11th, depending if we considered the sun to be set or not.

However, even if we considered Pars Fortuna to be in the 11th opposing the moon, why do you consider it for the prediction of the 2-1? For instance, in my practice I tend to use Arabic parts only on strong conjunctions, or when its dispositor is aspecting the part, although I never use it as indicator of a benefic/malefic condition for an aspecting planet.

Am I missing something, or it is that you consider Pars Fortuna to infer on accidental dignities/debilities, in this case, of the Moon?

(Btw, I only consider the Traditional planets and aspects)

Thanks,
Jo?o Ventura

Jventura normally i take prediction of matches outcome as flow of all event in the match from 1st half to 2nd half and i try as much as i can interprete the chart. as do i am commentator not in the field of play but in the field astrological chart i dont use arabic part as significators. When i came across opposition of fortuna to moon and only it being the aspect of moon i knew it meant something that will go on during the match which will affect the team of L1 and rise L7 team but was not going to be a win for dsc team cause was as good as voc

With yesterday's game between USA vs Portugal. I did took Jantura's notes into consideration regarding the balance between the accidental dignities of both Lords. I know Pluto sitting on the Cusp could harm L1 as i assigned L1 to Portugal but then L7 on the other hand USA did not have any strong testimony backing it to win the game so the thought of draw came to mind. Odds was very low at that time. When Portugal first goal came i did placed a small amount behind the USA team when odds was raised to 12.32

@Jantura you made a marvelous checks on the chart and the draw as you predicted was certainly the point. Both did not have any strong testimonies to for one to win the game.

The son of an aquaintance of mine through business, Diskerud, is acturally sat on the bench for the USA. His father must be both proud and excited about the prospects of advancement. I hope he gets to play.

I have no part in this whatsoever, astrologically or elsewise, and I never met the son. However, a few years ago I did perform some work for a young Norwegian talent, King, and prepared an election for his moving to the UK and the signing of contracts with Ferguson in ManU. He had a place on the first team for one season, but has now moved on to another club.

Hello John,
Can I ask what sort of success rate you achieved in the last Premier season?
It's good to see a summary of methods here but for my part, I'd be more interested in a series of clear & succinct forecasts by someone. If they prove successful, then I'd be interested in the technique, but discussing methodology off the back of one or two "correct" predictions seems to be putting the cart before the horse. I think we all know you need a good long run of data for it to mean anything.
Not that I mean any disrespect to all the hard work obviously going on here, just that I think it needs to be grounded in some sort of reality else we just end up chasing our own tails.

I said I would respond to Janis's comments on predictions and techniques/analysis, which brought me on to thinking of the myriad of methods used by everyone!

In an attempt to be helpful I'll try and group these together and possibly people can say where they are in the methods currently favoured.

1 Colours -natural significators
2 Colours assigned to the Ascendant/Descendant
3 Favourites- Ascendant/Descendant
4 Home team/Away team
5 Who kicks off
6 Electional
7 National/Birth charts

Methods:

a modern planets
b traditional planets
c modern aspects
d traditional aspects
e essential dignity
f accidental dignity
g antision/contra-antision
h Lots (Part of Fortune, etc.)
i fixed stars
j Lord of the Hour/Lord of the Day
k Radicality
l other traditional techniques

House system

I'm sure I've missed some out!

My techniques are experimental and have said what I was doing previously during the last Premier season. This World Cup is an opportunity to try out something different and see what happens.

My techniques are mainly : 6 b,d,e,h,j,k,l: Alcabitius/Whole Sign

I am content with the predictions, whilst trying different things out, particularly where there are games with similar charts producing different results over a few days.

Thanks should go to the regular contributors/moderator on these pages for encouraging clarity of prediction and encouraging discussion of techniques.

There are other Forums which seem to provide continual congratulations on predictions when comments such as 'watch for x aspect/house position' with no clarity or prediction made, or the result will be either team A or a draw. Whilst these observations appear to produce a flow of congratulations when looking at definite predictions others results are no better than mine.

I suppose I'll be my own harshest critic, even if (or when) I get 90% plus correct. Last words- please predict and say something about technique, we are all here to learn and you are doing no worse than anyone else.

Netherland vs chile 13:00 BST Asc:20L6 Moon:19T54, Venus:0G10,POF:7S53 ,Lhr:saturn,Lday:moon radical chart. L10 is venus(moon depositor), L4 is saturn in retro, L1 inside cadent cups, L2 inside succendent cups, moon is malefic, saturn inside L1 cups, moon inside dsc but > than 5 degree to it axis, moon conjunct L1,oppose L4 no clear aspect for success to moon. using natural significator, the Neds will win.also notice the pluto and uranus placement in the DSC/IC axis or could cause an over 2.5 goal

I agree. The World Cup is something of a one-off and some techniques, such as Home/Away significators, are not available to us.

My main work is with the English Premier League where I have records of most matches going back over a number of seasons. There are some indicators that are statistically significant, but the effects are relatively small. For example: as with the USA v Portugal game, if the Sun has just set, so within 3 degrees of the descendant in H6, it seems to damage the chances of the favourite, but a strong favourite will overcome it. I suspect the equal testimonies and this anti-favourite bias yesterday was enough to give a draw, but not enough for a Portugal victory.

The Sun H6 indicator is significant at 4.9% and reduces the probability of the favourite winning by about 10 percentage points - on my data set from 53% to 43%.
