Gem: I also would love to hear what you think about the outcome of the FA Cup Final on Sat(19/5/07 15:00, Wembley).
Moon in Cancer seperating from the square of Mars and applying to the body of Venus. My vote is for Chelsea (Shellsea) as the winners.

London is Gemini. Cancer is the antiscia of Gemini, which I believe is to the advantage of Chelsea. Moon applying Venus - 'Blue is the colour' and all that stuff.

My feeling is that Man U are Scorpio and Mars. Although both Mars and Pluto are angular when the match kicks off (Could this mean Man U get the kick-off?) I still favour the blues.

Gem,
I have a few Cap Moons in my small file and will have a look at them in the light of your observations.
I'll be interested to hear what you find. Could do with a good database for this type of thing. I've got nearly 300 footie charts in my file!
Man Uted are after all, the champions of the Premiership in this country, a status above Chelsea. Can that entitle them to have the AC, don`t you think??
Oh, go on, give them the Asc then  Or we could see who kicks off? Might be ManU if Andrew's right.

Oh no, Andrew is going for Chelsea too :-cry What about you Ficina?
Looking at the chart itself, the AC ruler above the horizon, relatively high in the sky while the DC ruler is below the horizon, near the IC. The picture describes their rank in the Premiership. I also read in the paper that Mikel(a Chelsea player) has also joined the list of injuries. My feeling is definitely for M Uted.
My ego tells me I can cope with the credit for associating Chelsea with Shellsea and Cancer! What withVenus in Cancer, there could even be a Chelsea Bun in store there, too!
:lala Very clever, Andrew!

Wow! 300 charts in your file!! All the charts I have must be in your databank. Nevertheless I'm going to look at the Moon in the charts over the weekend.

I couldn't find Man U's founding date but found the one for 'Shelsea'(I quite like the name): 14 March 1905. They have Sun at 23 Pisces(still related to the sea) and their Mercury excatly at the DC deg of the Final chart(27 Pisces)! Another reason for giving Shelsea the DC(however feeble it may be).

The founding charts of Milan and Liverpool share Mars at the same place, 1 Capricorn. The 2005 final chart had the Moon at 0 Cap 57 and the Moon in this year's chart is at 1 Virgo.

So will it be decided after 90 mins, extra time or penalties? The previous two cup finals went to penalties, the VOC Moon indicating the draw and the fixity of one or both sigs (and the Moon) taking the games all the way to the wire.

In this chart the Moon is applying conj Venus and there's no fixity. The only contra-indication is the late Asc but I don't know if this will have sufficient influence. I've no experience of it so will be interesting to see. Presuming it hasn't, then I'm going for 90 mins. What does anyone else think?

Ficina, very interesting question! In yesterday match UEFA CUP, Espanyol vs Sevilla, angles were fix, Moon was fix, rulers cardinal, it was extra time and penalties!
Here we have angles and rulers(one retro) mutabile, Moon cardinal, so I go to extra time, but not penalties (if angles were cardinal I would go to 90min). As you said, I have no experience, so it will be interesting to see!

Has any one of you looked at declinations? The Moon in the FA Cup Final is Out of Bounds, so it may behave in an erratic way or could produce loads of goals. In the ManU- Rome match where Man U scored seven goals, the Moon in Cap was OOB. I haven't looked at Capricorn Moons in the other charts but when it has some 'effects'(as Ficina said), it may have to do with the Moon being OOB.

Very pleased to hear that Man U are now faves :D

Goca,
Thanks for the info re UEFA Cup. I hadn't looked at the chart beforehand but I see the Moon was combust. Another indication for a draw perhaps?

Gem,
Your observations re OOB Moon are interesting. I've never thought to look at declinations. Let's hope there are lots of goals. Will make it worthwhile for all those fans who had to queue in the middle of the night to buy their tickets at ?65 a go!

I was reading up the other threads related to football in this section and was delighted to read that Ficina was compiling ahorisms. How are you getting on with it? or have you completed it? Love to hear more about it! :D

I thought I'd look at the declinations of the charts which I just can't understand the result...
