I've gone for a Chelsea win anyway by default, 1-0.
Apologies for quoting myself but it's the first scoreline I've got right so far this weekend! :D

My 3-1 prediction for Spurs has already gone. Newcastle are 2-1 up

I've actually gone for a 2-0 win to Liverpool. I know this is unlikely unless Spurs fail....

Cogratulations to all who got their predictions correct.

Why did Ficina go for Liverpool?

What now for the antiPOF opp Moon theory.

To many reasons to try and dismiss Newcastle, when they were the reasons to choose them!

Here is my contribution to the post-match "entertainment" :P

1. The colour method
2. The Moon/Jupiter conjunction

Both of these were mentioned beforehand by John and myself. (Please re-read what we said.) Putting these together provides an explanation for all three of the Sunday results.

The colour method gives Chelsea, Newcastle and Liverpool the Desc, thereby receiving the benefit of the Moon/Jupiter conjunction. As has been mentioned before, according to JF, Moon conj a signficator is usually final. It certainly was in these games.

John's observation about Saturn (L7) receiving Jupiter was key :' I made a similar point over on Videohero's thread, when I said that the Sun was exaltation ruler of the Desc. I also said that I thought this was forcing the chart to fit the result, but now I'm not so sure. Looking at it another way, Mars received the Sun in the same way that Saturn received Jupiter in yesterday's charts. This is definitely something to look out for in the future.

I've said before that Moon/POF/ant POF aspects seem to work as supporting testimonies but do not overrule other testimonies. I don't expect any of you to remember this observation since I obviously forgot it myself when analysing the Liverpool game!

Ficina
Well done on Liverpool/Everton :D
Two strong testimonies for underdogs according to JF. Moon conjunct Jupiter(he says conjunction is a cut-off point and we don't need to look any further); and Moon opp POF. He gives faves the AC, and since Liverpool are playing at home and odds on faves, it doesn't make sense to me to give them the DC. So, the techniques I employ didn't work on this chart. I'm not sure when to switch to the colour method unless I consistantly use it :?

I got the LOH wrong again(thought it was the Sun) and concluded the chart wasn't radical. I now see it's radical and seen in this perspective, the testimonies may be viewed differently(will re-look at the chart).

Gem,
Everything you say makes sense and I can't disagree with it. I went for Liverpool purely for football reasons. I thought they would beat Everton. The Big Four can usually be relied upon to win at home, although there have been occasional blips. I think these things have to be taken into consideration sometimes.

In view of what I've said in the past regarding use of the colour method, I realise I'm being inconsistent here and am applying more than a little hindsight. However, I'd rather see it as being flexible
