For Manchester U. when the Moon is in Virgo the chances for a away Draw are +9% higher.

For Sunderland-Newcastle I've went for a draw for the same Moon position. But POF conj. Mars was more powerfull - it means +10% chance for Home team to win. The 2-1 result is an indication of this tight win.

Derby are back to their old tricks andgave away a one goal lead in the final minute of their game against Coventry. Blackburn can still save the day.

Well last weekend was a pretty muck-up with lots of games diverting in unexpected direction. I think I'd got about two out of three games right in every series I tried to combine, but this results in nothing but losses. Derby game their game away in the last minute. Even Blackburn let the side down and played draw with Middelsbrough. How could we have predicted Chelsea giving up Stamford Bridge on Sunday? They hadn't lost a game here for over 4 years!! This is probably was some people think astrologers should be able to predict...!

I think one of the clues lies in the celestial state of the Sun. We had a period late last year with Sun Capricorn trine Saturn - and there was a plague of draws (quote: Ficina!) Then the Sun conjunct Uranus/Neptune and we had some propper underdogs. The Sun in the very degree of the Moon's fall this weekend is appropriate for Chelsea giving up their record of home defences. By the way, from last year, we discussed the possibility of Chelsea being ruled by the Moon ( or at least I offered the idea ). How interesting that thier record run was punctured with the emphasis being on the degree of the Moon's fall.

Certainly the state of the Sun might tell us something about what is going on at the top. May a debilitated Sun is a warning that games may not be easy to predict, or that caution should be taken in passing judgement. The Moon shows what happens, but the Sun sets the scene...

Tonights game between Newcastle and West Brom. The game is played on the Day of Mars in the Hour of the Sun. The Moon is Lady of the ascendant and applies to the lord of the Hour. I think it should be a home win!

Susie got the Chelsea/Liverpool result correct I won a bit of money by backing Liverpool to win (draw no bet) although I had Chelsea to win in my Guardian prediction because I wasn't totally convinced that the astrology favouring Liverpool was sufficient to destroy Chelsea's longstanding home record.

In the chart, Moon was applying sextile Venus (L4) - 4 degrees, which I thought indicated a goal for Liverpool, but not necessarily a win. Pluto partile conj POF is a testimony for the underdogs according to John Frawley.

I had also looked at the clubs' natals. Chelsea had nothing but Liverpool's Jupiter was partile trine MC of match chart. The Sun was conj (2 deg orb) their natal Uranus - causing an upset on the day? Since I've only just started looking at the natals, it was interesting to observe how these aspects played out.

Well, Newcastle won 2-1 over West Brom as I suggested, but looking further down the line - a lot of wierd things went on in the Championship and League 1; Table leader in the Championship, B'ham, lost 1-0 away to an unconvincing QPR, who only had 10 men on the field.

In League 1, Petersborough who won so impressively 4-0 over Huddersfield on Saturday, only managed 1-1 against table trailers Crewe. And Scunthorpe, at the top of the division, received a 3-0 thrashing from Oldham. Southend beat Leeds 1-0 ! (I was expecting more confidence from Leeds this year - nothing to do with astrology by the way... ).

Tomorrows Premier League line up looks easy before taking into consideration the astrology. I think the favourites need to mark their place at this point in the season. I would not expect either Arsenal, AstonVilla, Liverpool or ManU looking to give away any points at this time. Hull - Chelsea seems to be the most exciting contest, but unfortunately there are no individual kick-offs!

Seeing that Cancer rises, the sign which I associate with Chelsea, and I do not know whether to give Chelsea the ascendant or the descendant, and that the Moon is joined to Mars, who has dignities in both ascendant and Midheaven; Seeing that Jupiter, L10, is in the 7th and applies to his dispositor, Saturn, who is lord of the 7th; Seeing that the hour is on the cusp between Mercury and the Moon - I decide to put ?5 on a combination including a draw between these two fine teams. And what a grand price for a continued success for Hull, who have equal points with Chelsea who hold 2nd place in the Premiership!!

The Hull/Chelsea is one of "those" charts for me.... at the moment I've got them down for a draw. Tossing a coin might not be a bad idea.

With Moon trine POF, I think the faves should do well tonight, as they did last night although I went for a draw because Moon (L1) was combust. This apparently did no harm. Well done for getting it right, Andrew.

Although all the charts are very similar, the POF moves around quite a bit. In three charts we have Jupiter (L10) opp POF; in two others Mercury (L4) square POF. I'm considering partile aspects only.

I'd like to see the Hull Tigers getting their claws into Chelsea and achieving a draw or even a win. Sun is partile trine their natal Sun. However, I'm going for Chelsea - Moon trine POF and Saturn (L7) partile sextile POF. Even though Moon is L1, I think this aspect favours the faves. I could be wrong of course and, in a way, I hope I am.

I'm pleased that I got the Blackburn-Boro result right.
I would have felt more confident about Spurs' win had I known that Harry Rednapp was taking over I was half resigned to the idea of Spurs going down but now I feel more confident that they can stay up (hopefully). For those who are not up to date, Redknapp literally became Tottenham manager overnight; he was Portsmouth manager when I went to bed on Sat night. I woke up on Sunday and was gobsmacked to find( like everyone else including the players) to find that he became Tottenham manager.

Regarding the Ncastle-Wbrom, I know there were a few positive facotrs for Ncastle in the chart but still I was surprised that they won despite being representd by the combust Moon. The Moon applying combustion is astrologically considered a serious affliction.
