I'm less optimistic for Arsenal this morning.
A planet emerging out of combustion, particularly a fast moving one like Mercury, isn't much of an affliction in footie chart, and it still looks rather dangerously close to the DC cusp, perhaps enough to be able to be in command.

I agree with everything Gem's said re Chelsea/Arsenal.

Has anyone had a look at Saturday's 3pm games? Amazing number of partile aspects! :-|

Venus(L1) conj MC
Saturn (L10) trine MC
Mars (L7) opp POF (Antares/Aldebaran)
Antiscion Mars conj MC
Antiscion POF conj IC

Villa and Stoke have the full set. Boro and Sunderland have three of them. They are all slightly off in Wigan game, apart from Mars opp POF.

Hour rulers vary between Sun and Venus or on the cusp.

Some considerations about this weekend...

We have Mercury-Mars perfect conjunction on Sagittarius.
Looking back in history I've found out that this conjunction occured on the same sign on 9th-10th of Dec 2006 with the following results:
09/12/2006 15:00:00 Watford Reading 0-0
09/12/2006 15:00:00 Middlesbrough Wigan 1-1
09/12/2006 15:00:00 Portsmouth Everton 2-0
09/12/2006 15:00:00 Liverpool Fulham 4-0
09/12/2006 17:15:00 Bolton West_Ham 4-0
09/12/2006 15:00:00 Blackburn Newcastle 3-1
09/12/2006 15:00:00 Tottenham Charlton 1-5
09/12/2006 15:00:00 Man._Utd. Man._City 1-3
10/12/2006 16:00:00 Chelsea Arsenal 1-1

Funny thing...there was the same Chelsea-Arsenal game :brows ..and end it with a draw. Will history repeat?

Also M.United vs M.City - with M.city victory??

That weekend we had 3 draws, 4 home wins and 2 away wins.
Also two 4-0 scores and two 1-1 scores.

Hi gang

Sorry I'm only coming to the party now. Chelsea - Arsenal: I gave a win to Chelsea based on that I think that L1 will control C7..... so let's see how that goes.

I've spend very little time on the charts this weekend, but the Boro-New Castle chart interested me because of 2 testimonies. L1 is conjunct MC, but MC is conjunct antiscion L7. Moon is void. So I'm not sure whether to read this as a draw, or whether actual placement is stronger than antiscion. Also ASC is on Algol - gggrrrr.

What do you guys think?

Love from a summery Cape Town,
Susie

Hi Susie
I was wondering where you'd been... Apparrently enjoying summer :)

Intriguing results from 2006! While Chelsea-Arsenal drawing again will not be a surprising result by a long chalk, Man City *shouldn't* be so lucky again this time ( in theory).

I haven't examined the 3pm matches.

Leixoes ? Naval 1-1 :,

The last few days have been irregular. As I pointed out, 50% of Thursday's games in the UEFA Cup ended with an away win. On Friday, 40% of the 55 games listed at Sportspress.com ended in a draw. 25% ended with an away victory and 35% ended with a home win, just to complete the statistics. The home teams had better control on Friday, but were still lagging behind on the statistics. If this is to balance out there could appear a day with over 60% of the games ending with a home win somewhere along the line?

The Lexioes - Naval was a one-off game. The draw seems to come from the lord of the hour being on the cusp of changing. This condition was also present in yesterday's mystery game between Braga and Wolfsburg where I went for a home win or a draw but the away team suprized by winning 2-3. I think I might be close to making some sense here, as I have picked a lot of draws lately. But as I suggested on the UEFA thread, maybe the combust Moon is an underdog Moon?

Good luck with todays games. I have selected four favourites: Leicester, Kidderminster, Millwall and Lyon in France. Total odds: 3,57:1

I've been puzzling over this too. Even for those of you who don't look at the 3pm games, it's an interesting problem to try and sort out and it would be good to get others' input.

If we see the MC as neutral territory then I would say the actual conjunction of L1 outranks the antiscial conjunction of L7. However, if we see the MC as 'belonging' to Asc, then antiscion L7 conj MC might be more potent than L1 conj MC. Hopefully you see what I'm getting at here.

I listed some additional testimonies on the previous page, but I think these two conjunctions are possibly the key factors. They appear in the other 3pm games as well of course, so I'm not sure why Susie mentioned the Boro/Newcastle game in particular.

Wolves ? B?ham, 12.30 GMT
Odds: 2,25 3,15 3,10
Asc 27AQ57, MC 13SG25, Moon 27SG24, POF 12PI41
Played on the Day of Saturn, the Hour of Moon/Saturn
No testimonies ? a draw

I looked at the chart for Villa-Fulham. Wow, Ficina - what a cross-fire of significations. I'm staying off these games because of the muliple matches and so many things happening at once.

Thanks for having a look, Andrew. I don't blame you for leaving those games alone! However they turn out, we're very unlikely to see this same set of testimonies again.

Good luck to everybody!
