I disgraced myself with my analysis of Argentina-Korea match saying that Korea would win. I based my analysis on assumptions that Mars and Saturn in Virgo, in the sign of Venus fall, with its dispositor Mercury in unhappy VIII harm Venus, the ruler of Libra. I am experimenting with the theory for predicting the outcome that any planet in a sign favours the planets which has rulership or exaltation in that sign but hates, in particular malefics, the planets which in that sign are in detriment or fall. So Marss and Saturn in Virgo do not harm or even strengthen Mercury and hates Jupiter and Venus. It worked in case of Switzerland; of course there was a square with POF which according to the rules is the end of story for a favourite, but I believe that it also added to the outcome. I used this method analysing the charts Greece (playing white Gemini DSC) -Nigeria (Sagitarius ASC) and France -Mexico (I attributed Leo DSC to France because it is ruled by Leo and skipped the colour method). And it worked. But I was afraid to come forward with any analysis after the flunk.

In all previous matches I noticed whenever you have luminaries and the ruler of ASC above the horizon (in particular angular), favourites win, irrespective of which significator the Moon applies to or what aspects she makes within the orb of 5 degrees; there were no aspects with POF or APOF (except Greece-Korea where the Moon had an exact square with POF at the begining of the game which proved fatal for Greece) or contra antisca of POF with which I am experimenting.

If there were no aspects with POF of APOF (so far they turned out fatal), stronger proved the team which significator was above the horizon, in particular closer to MC. An angular significator always got its own. Radicality of the chart (agreement with hour ruler and ASC) turned out not to be decisive. It is the first consideration. Placement of significator goes before all Moon aspects (so far). Let's see. If there are no advantages, then Moon's aspects should be decisive.

Acquarius ASC really corrupts Leo countries, it was the case with Italy and France. If we use the colour method, then ASC and its ruler should have gone for France. Obviously, Leo DSC goes for France as it is ruled by Leo. Then it was obviously clear why Mexico won. Mexico wore a multi-coloured kit, so it fits also for Acquarius.

In this World Cup with Acquarius ASC the colour method usally goes wrong, probably because transiting R Neptun is conjunct Black Moon at the very end of Acquarius causing confusion. I am an Acqarious with transiting R Neptune and Black Moon conjuct my natal Black Moon. Pretty riskt thing to predict the outcome.

So far Acquarius ASC turned out to be unhappy for the countries ruled by Leo. In Southern hemisphere at this time nothern Sun is not happy. Let's see when he enters into Cancer and starts increasing above the horizon.

Dear Goca, the third match always producing unexpected results.
Because they are being played at night, maybe? So something has to be reversed/changed to account for this- other than the obvious dignities. Unfortunately nothing in the pre 20th century writers will tell us about playing at night...!

Now it is my turn for the walk of shame :, :-cry

I expected Serbia to play well, even draw perhaps but no way could I believe they would actually win. Germany had a player sent off, soon afterwards they lost a goal and then Poblowski shoots everywhere, the sky, the corner flag, the crowd..everywhere apart from the goal. Serbia were v.lucky (POF conj 4th cusp).

When I look at that chart I ask myself what will be meanig of that South Node so close to MC; I thought it will be German;s owngoal but it was that sent=off German;s player.(color method)
Yes, Sebia was very lucky with POF and NNode less then 2 degrees on the cusp of their turned 10th house, radical 4.

I didn't used the colour method but assigned DSC to Germany because Germany is ruled by Aries. Departure from the colour method when ASC or DSC happens to be in a sign believed to be associated with that particular country worked well all times, except Argentina - Korea. Serbia is ruled by Capricorn.
Moon beseiged in the sign of Jupiter detriment and Venus fall or even both malefics here is not good for favourites. While Venus was applying to Jupiter by dexter trine, this neutralized malefic influence of Saturn and Marss in Virgo. Now Venus is almost gone from Jupiter trine and benefic influence has lost the grip. Besides the Sun, which favours faves, is at the lowest above the horizon.

It is well seen that the Moon has passed over the body of Mars (the ruler of Germany) and is applying to Saturn (Serbia). It all happens in the unhappy 12th. Venus in 10th not backed by Jupiter has lost her beneficial power for faves. She plays for Serbia as the lady of ASC. She is much stronger than Mars, acc. Venus 17, Mars -3

Concerning both remaining plays I would say that Slovenia should win if they wear white so getting ASC. Mercury is angular in its own house. Because it is the hour of Saturn with Sagitarius ASC, it is the time of underdog. The Moon is applying to Saturn.

If I use the country method then US get DSC and should win of because of strong angular Mercury. Actually I am confused which method to use.

England - Algeria. If England plays in white its gets DSC. Not good. Saturn is above the horizon so it has advantage over the Sun. The Moon's applying aspects within the orb of 5 degrees is only a trine with antisca of Venus. Venus is the lady of MC and placed in 7th, advantage for ASC team. The Moon is besieged in the sign of Venus fall, so it is a tricky aspect and we could expect a sensation.
If we attribute ASC to England as a strong fave, we get another picture. England should easily win.

I agree with the previous post. England not looking good. But we must combine discretion with art and since ALG is not great on the offensive side I think under 2.5 goals and ALG+1.5 at 2.07 is a way to go.

Just got home and seen result of first match. Looks like besieged Moon scuppered Germany. And at half time it wasn't looking good for USA either but I see they've just pulled one back.
Daz wrote:Well I hope that doesn't apply to England, Ficini!
Me too! Let's hope Venus L10 conjunct Desc favours them, as Goca has suggested. It would be the other way about using the Asc=fave method so it will be interesting to see how that game turns out.

Should have been 3-2 to USA when a perfectly good goal was disallowed 4.46 BST (JU sq ASC).
There was a foul. Two guys grabbed each others jerseys and fell down. In this case the foul usually is called against the offensive player.

And I'm not rooting for SLV. They deserved to lose this one.

DC is sun in gemini? Shouldn't that be Algeria's green?
So AC is saturn in virgo..ok, saturn is black but can be "ashy" (ie pale),and virgo can be white.

This is interesting re England colours:

Grey is mentioned : ) Used to wear navy blue shorts.

Why can't they just pick a colour and stick to it! And Fifa really should say what everyone's wearing in advance.

Algeria is +- dark green (away colors). England is the 'home' team so they are white.

In my opinion, dark green is more like Saturn in Virgo than Sun in Gemini.

Maybe it makes sense to take a look at the charts of the previous matches involving ALG and ENG.

yes you're right. I saw a pic of Algeria and it looked like a bright "grass" green, quite zingy..
