Mark, you don't live here in America, and can't have the same insider's view that those of us have who live here, and who are closely following news coverage in various media. You are jumping to unwarranted conclusions about what is factual and what might be my personal opinion. All you have to do to verify what I have written is call up biographies on the web of the candidates and read about their life patterns and experiences.
Well its true I live outside the USA. But the idea an American is automatically better informed on your politics is rather patronising. The days when Europeans relied on steamships or telegraph to be be notified of political events in the USA are long gone! We live in a global information culture today.

First of all I should say I have an MA in politics and American history. So I am not your average foreigner just dipping in here.

Secondly, I have taken an intense interest in the political developments in the US and have followed the news stories during this election on a daily basis.

Like you I have read opinion pieces in the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times etc. I have also watched numerous You Tube interviews with key political participants and commentators on news networks like ABC, CBS, NBC. I have also followed other news updates from CNN and Huffington Post.

I also read political analysis on a range of polling sites such as Nate Silver's fivethirtyeight.com/ And Real Clear Politics.

I am certainly no supporter of Trump or the Republicans. But as as outsider I perhaps have a clearer insight about bias in your media than many Americans. Its perfectly obvious to any independent observer that the urban media centered on the North-East or West Coast has an inherent bias towards the Democrats. Its actually quite blatant.

I have therefore made a point at looking at opposing political views on right of centre media outlets like Fox and GOP friendly sites like Drudge Report.

I have participated on American political astrology Facebook groups for the last 6 months which demonstrates to me that whatever you think of Trump personally he is definitely tapping into a genuine and passionate disatisfaction with the political and media establishment. Many Americans clearly no longer trust the orthodox political system or the mainstream media outlets and have gone elsewhere for both news and political inspiration.

Frankly, Therese it looks like you are more guilty of living in an out of touch political bubble than I am. The fact I choose not to make political commentary here doesn't mean I am not capable of doing so. I actually, do so in other places on Social Media. I simply want to keep this forum as free of partisan political debate as possible.

So I suggest we draw a line under this issue and get back to some solid astrology.

Thanks

Mark

Thank you James.

Here are my findings and thoughts about them regarding tonight's debate:

I think that Trump will do worse in the 2nd debate than he did in the first. . . . I think he will fall back on what he knows, what he is well practiced at ? be the bully supreme, attack so viciously that his opponent is overwhelmed. He may be rebuked for being too much of an interloper when she is speaking. When the early results are in he will know he is worse off than he was before.

My favorite toy (his progressed anlunar) has transit Saturn exactly on the Desc and transit Neptune exactly on the Zenith at the beginning of the debate.

That same chart progressed to about 8 am the next morning has his natal Sun on the Asc and his natal Moon on the Desc with return Mars/Saturn midpoint there also as it was on his natal Moon and opposite his natal Sun when the lunar return began on October 1st before his most famous video surfaced. The bad news is there for all to see and knocks him for a loop. If he leaves St Louis, flying East soon after the debate, the angles will move forward to the Sun, Moon, Mars/Saturn midpoint configuration during the flight.

I do not think Hillary will be fazed by Trump?s behavior but will use it against him, having sized him up during the first debate, the end result being that he is made to look even more foolish than he would without her

Trying to post an image from Imgur. Site is not showing them but I think I have found a way.

This is using Trump's announcement seeking the office of the presidency, doing this year's solar return for it, then casting a lunar return from that solar return and finally progressing the lunar return to the target date and time. In this case 9 pm, EST, on election night located in New York City where he will probably be and is also the location of his birth no matter where he might be.

At the progressed anlunar angles are lunar return positions, some of his secondary progressed natal positions and transits of the time. Progressing Trump's announcement chart solar return anlunar to 9 pm in NYC on election night has it with a 239?07' MC. In a 6 hour span from about 6 pm to midnight it will experience transit Sun/Saturn midpoint on the MC, anlunar return Neptune/Pluto midpoint on the ASC, and progressed natal Saturn/Pluto midpoint on the Desc. Not a winning combination in the bunch.

Image is a little fuzzy because I reduced it in size.

hi bob,

i don't have a tv to watch the debate - thank god.. but in looking casually at the transits i see the sun conjunct trumps jupiter at 17 libra and t sun also in line with natal uranus by trine - a ju/ur trine in his chart - i think that is net positive and potentially very favourable... mind you, i am overlooking pretty well everything else! t mars opp his mercury would make him more pugnacious then usual - which could be dangerous, lol..

on the other hand, let me look at hillarys 218am chart and give some feedback.. t venus at her mercury thus square her saturn looks mixed to unfavourable.. really simplistic view on my part, but simple view is trump did better here based on a review of transit data.. saturn exactly on hillarys nadir with the 218am chart seems mixed to negative to me as well..

Deleted original post, leaving an explanation about it. Re-posting as I have added some information (mainly dates of eclipses) to it.

I make my measurements in right ascension.

For 2017 eclipses. Eclipses of civil unrest? War?

Relocate Kaine's chart to the White House and you get Mars within a degree of the MC. Tim Kaine natal Mars 287?51' - Transit Pluto conjunct Dec 21, 2016. Pluto within 1 degree of relocated MC (288?37'), exact on January 11, 2017.

Feb 10 2017, Appulse Lunar Eclipse
Eclipse Mars conjunct prog Sibly Asc
Eclipse Saturn square prog Sibly Neptune
Eclipse Neptune conjunct prog Sibly Sun
Eclipse Pluto square prog Sibly Mars

Feb 26 2017, Solar Annular Eclipse ? Mars conjunct Uranus

Aug 7 2017, Partial Lunar Eclipse ? Saturn opposite Sibly Mars, square Sibly Neptune

Transit Pluto conjunct Kaine's MC on Aug 17, 2017 ? 4 days before eclipse spans the U.S., (transit Saturn opposite Sibly Mars 2 minute orb). When Pluto is on Kaine?s MC on Aug 17 Uranus is on his Asc. Right ascension of natal MC at the White House 288?37'. Transit Pluto at noon 288?37'. Transit Uranus rises at 288?09'. Fireworks!

Aug 21 2017, Solar Total Eclipse ? Saturn stations opposite Sibly Mars, square Sibly Neptune; in the geographic center of the 50 states Mars is conjunct the MC, in the geographic center of the 48 contiguous states the eclipse is on the MC of the eclipse chart opposite the Sibly Moon (the people?) on the IC.

On Oct 31, 2017, Kaine Saturn return and transit Pluto conjunct his MC.

Also from the Aug 21 eclipse chart:

Transit Mars conjunct Hillary's natal Saturn.

Transit Pluto will be square the White House chart?s MC.

Transit Mars will be conjunct the Capitol Building charts Mars.

A point of methodology.

I am wondering if early voting, allowed by most states, confounds the use of Election Day (2nd Tuesday of November, November 8, 2016) as the benchmark date for predictive purposes. As of this writing, over half a million Americans have already voted. (One reason why I wouldn't expect Trump to withdraw.)

http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/data-p ... al-n665196

Note that the bar graphs do not give election tallies, but do show party affiliations of early voters. They can vote for anyone they want, however.

It would take more stamina than I have to cast charts for the onset of early voting in the "key battleground states," but this might be a better approach than the generic nation-wide Election Day charts. Focusing on Florida, Ohio, Michigan, and Pennsylvania might prove a better predictive method, as they tend to be "swing states" and have large numbers of Electoral College ballots.

The political analysts' thinking is, that we pretty much know which states vote predictably Republican or Democratic, and how their Electoral College ballots are likely to go. (In a "winner take all" system of EC balloting.) So let's focus on the populous states with outcomes still in play.

For a list of early voting onset dates: https://www.vote.org/early-voting-calendar/ Note that some states have more than one time zone. But the major swing states are currently in Eastern Daylight Time.

so low, they decided their readers might actually wake up perhaps, so they removed all the links simultaneously! one could be forgiven for thinking the corporate media is all owned and run by the same small circle of propagandists and one click removes it from 4 news outlets!
